Hello, we have acreage that we are allowing travelers to stay on. We are 15 miles from Chiricahua National Monument, located along the ‘Wilcox Loop’. Along the loop is also Cochise Stronghold and many wineries! If you travel south from here, we are 45 minutes from my favorite town Bisbee. Stars galore!
Attention: as the area can be dry we do not allow fire pits, however a stove/grill for cooking is expectable. Thank you

An awesome desert site down a short "primitive" road a quarter mile from pavement. Wildlife, peaceful, horses, a resident hawk, perfect sunrises over the Chiricahua Mountains and beautiful sunsets behind the Huachuca Mountains.
Wonderful hosts, easy in and out. I have a 60 foot rig and it went in pretty well.
Saw a couple of big cats, quite a few deer, coyote scat, so they're around too. (Keep your small pets on lead.) Definitely would return.
Just an aside, it's just up the road from Johnny Ringo's grave site. What fun!

We loved staying here. Great location close to Chiricahua Mountains. My only feedback would be that the site access is small for maneuvering big rigs. Site 1 is the bigger and easiest to park a large rig like ours (40’ bus conversions) followed by site 2, however I used half os site one to get backed into site 2. Sites 3 & 4 are further off the road and would have been quite difficult for us to navigate to due to the width of the access road.

Damon was a kind and caring camp host. His setup is rustic so don't expect a glamping experience but for those looking for an interesting place to camp away from the world it's well worth it. There are several different small hand built buildings on the property, one of which has a shared kitchen and bathroom, it's rough but is good enough for cooking and showers. The property also has several trees and shrubs planted by Damon and paths that one can take walks on. Oh, and there's also goats to check out! I also need to mention that Damon is a uniquely talented musical soul so if you're into playing or composing he might give you a mini tour of of his musical creations - they're very interesting- and show you his setup where he works on his music and offer to play some music together - my husband was surprised to find a musical mind to connect with in the middle of nowhere. He's also very knowledgeable of the surrounding area and was more than happy to share his tips with my husband and I on the best spots to visit and scenic drives to take. Damon made our camp stay very interesting.
