Our 2 and a half acre property is situated in a very rural quiet area. The Wickecheoke creek, a tributary of the Delaware, runs through the property. There is a private seating area for serene enjoyment and private meditation. Each site has a small private firepit and picnic table. Plenty of wood is available - free again this season. We have on its own site a 1965 Trotwood, canned ham style camper. This cozy piece of the past is restored for nostalgic reflection. It has fine appointments, kitchenette, indoor private potty. She will sleep 4 comfortably. There are many parks, conservation reserves and nature trails to hike nearby. Your can bike along farm roads in the area and find places to have your picnic lunch. Forgot some supplies?- within 3 short miles are many shops, services and resturants, many deliver. Several varieties of wildlife are in the area: you will spot eagles, white tail deer, racoons, wild turkeys and red fox, to name a few, while you stroll, bike or drive throught the area. Stop at the many creeks and enjoy the vibrant sounds of the bubbling waters; fish, frogs , turtles, blue heron and the many critters who habitate the waters. For birders there are over 75 species of birds within a short walk. During changes of seasons you can often see many birds in flight migrating to far away places. Bring your binoculars and camera. For you shop and antique explorers, just a short drive to the Delaware River and its quaint villages only 10 miles away: Lambertville, New Hope and Frenchtown. Boutiques, art studios, antique shops and restaurants . Enjoy any one of the many local Brewers, Distileries and vineyards all within a short drive of historic Flemington.

Weekend Trip to Horse Farm Camping

We had an amazing time at the horse farm. I took my son camping for the first time ever and this was more than the best situation in setup for a child. We were able to freely roam the farm and play with the horses at our will. We camped at campsite, one which was at the end of the property and gives you an entire view of the farm. Bren the host was amazing when we woke up to our surprise. They were hosting a mini petting zoo and Christmas pictures. By far, one of my best nights out with hipcamp.

Lovely place for a peaceful retreat for a chilly November weekend, even with a 5 year old. Sandy and John were such kind and welcoming hosts. The red cabin is an updated church camp cabin, with electric radiators and a modern wood stove for heat, a pretty cool composting toilet (indoor), sink+shower, simple kitchen with induction stove, and 2 bedrooms with linens and towels. Our 5-year old loved the tree house, fairy house, labyrinth, meditation stations, boat and Pooh's house and library. And we got really good at shuffleboard! Would definitely recommend and would like to go back.

Wonderful stay! Rae was super communicative and kind, the tent was spotless, and she even left an extra blanket for the cold night. The animals are absolutely adorable. Would definitely come back! Cute towns around!

This is the 5th or 6th time I've stayed here - that likely says it all - I like this hipcamp very much - it's private (the owner says hi, but then leaves you on your own), he provides wood for campfire, there is a water spigot, a picnic table. The site I reserve has these things, and I believe another site has electric as well, but I haven't needed that one. It's peaceful, scenic, private - and the owner is communicative, their home is in sight, but not close enough to change the nice privacy. All these things make a great hipcamp. I travel twice a year to and from Maine and Georgia, with 2 dogs, and stay there every time. Highly recommend.

Weekend Trip to Pine Creek

I stayed at campsite #1 a few years ago and decided to come back this past weekend with some friends who were brand new to camping. The site sits right by the dock near the pond — it’s currently being worked on, so there wasn’t much water this time. But that didn’t stop us from having a good time. The space was perfect for our big group of 13! It’s quiet, roomy, and far enough from the other sites that you get plenty of privacy. Getting in touch with Timothy, the owner, was super easy. He responded quickly to messages and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay, which made the whole experience even better. Since it’s pet-friendly, I even brought my kitten along, and he had a blast exploring the outdoors. Overall, it was an awesome weekend, and I’d totally recommend campsite #1 to anyone looking for a fun, relaxing getaway with friends or family.

Weekend Trip to Fluffy Butt Rescue Animal Sanctuary

We had a wonderful stay at Fluffy Butts! The campsite was easy to find and still felt secluded and very private. Rae pulled in right after we did while we were unloading our car. She was very warm and welcoming and offered to take us to meet the animals in the morning. It was a chilly fall, rainy night and the tent and bedding provided was very dry, clean and warm. Would definitely return!

Weekend Trip to Camp Nox ⛺️

We had a fabulous time. The kids found salamanders and all kinds of bugs! The woods and creek are a wonderland. We had rain one night, so instead enjoyed a delicious dinner at Cactus Grill to kill time. The set- up is perfect and secluded. We will be back!

This is the second time I’ve stayed at Tim’s property. Each time was very enjoyable, peaceful and you had plenty of space to run around. There is a lake there that you can’t go fishing, but unfortunately, this time I was in the dry season. This place is very well kept And enjoyable.

Weekend Trip to FernRock Retreat

Sandy and John could NOT have been better hosts. They are wonderful, lovely people who welcome folks onto their property to explore and reconnect with nature. The cabins are exactly what you need for a short stay. The property is magical with hidden gems all throughout. If you happen to wake up at 3am like I do, you cannot hear the highway. At a certain point just before dawn, the highway and crickets are silent. It is truly one of the most peaceful places just outside of Philadelphia. We stayed with family friends who were staying in one of the two cabins on the property. Plan a magical retreat with your family or loved ones and let Sandy and John teach you how to reconnect with nature!
