Our 2 and a half acre property is situated in a very rural quiet area. The Wickecheoke creek, a tributary of the Delaware, runs through the property. There is a private seating area for serene enjoyment and private meditation. Each camp site has a small private firepit and picnic table and the cabin has a large firepit, a patio area, and back deck. Plenty of wood is available - free again this season. For birders there are over 75 species of birds within a short walk. During changes of seasons you can often see many birds in flight migrating to far away places. Bring your binoculars and camera. The main cabin, Belle's Cabin, is made from hand hewed logs and is the only cabin furnished with a king size bed. All cabins have climate controlled heating/cooling units as well as hot water. Camp David was originally a German hunting camp at the turn of the 20th century. It was later donated to the Boy Scouts in the 1940’s. By the 2000’s, it was left abandoned at which time I purchased it and began to restore it back to its true form while maintaining the cabin life integrity. I am a contractor and arborist by trade and the last ten years I have worked hard to bring the site back to life. The camp consists of 13 acres abutted by 100's of acres of state park land. There are two stocked ponds connected by a cascading stream, multiple fire pits with seating, furnished gazebo with wood stove, picnic tables, and multiple park benches located throughout the property. I booked this for myself for a much needed recharge. I was ready to leave when my 15 y/o old told me she wanted to stay 1 night. They kindly accommodated the last minute change and made up the 2nd bed before we arrived. We pulled up and John and Sandy promptly came to welcome us to their place. They showed us around the cabin and let us know how to use everything. They made me feel so welcome and they seemed so happy to let us into their world there. It was the nicest check-in experience i've had anywhere. I loved the Haiku photo album and the journal for guests to write in. The very first entry was 4/29/13 (my daughter's 2nd bday) and the last one was 3/29/26 (my son's 12th bday)! I wish i had written in it bc i have a lot to say. Next time! When we met the goats was when my daughter decided she couldn't leave and ended up staying till Tues- i drove her to school till then. Holly and Hazel are cuties. Hazel liked the spotlight and when you scratched her in the right spot, her tail would wag away! The labyrinth is gorgeous- a beautiful work of art on it's own with a purpose I never knew! I enjoyed learning about them from the provided reading material. I did chat with Sandy and I decided that she is the coolest person in the world. She has great love for and intuitive wisdom of the earth, and she radiates love and acceptance. Hopefully I didn't scare her when I told her I want to become best friends.😆 Looking forward to another stay! Thank you Sandy and John!

I loved everything about Fernrock. I woke to the beautiful winding brook and the mossy rocks, did yoga with the sunrise. Everything was so intentional and lovingly infused on the property. I was at a workshop during the day and Sandy and John were so kind to make a fire for me to arrive back to. A beautiful space to be in nature.

Weekend Trip to Oak Grove Acres

I loved this cabin!!! You literally only need to show up with food and clothing. Everything else is there. Whatever you need to cook or be comfortable with is there. The hosts are super helpful when I had questions through the app. Took a nice relaxing weekend with my friend and we loved it.

Lovely place for a peaceful retreat for a chilly November weekend, even with a 5 year old. Sandy and John were such kind and welcoming hosts. The red cabin is an updated church camp cabin, with electric radiators and a modern wood stove for heat, a pretty cool composting toilet (indoor), sink+shower, simple kitchen with induction stove, and 2 bedrooms with linens and towels. Our 5-year old loved the tree house, fairy house, labyrinth, meditation stations, boat and Pooh's house and library. And we got really good at shuffleboard! Would definitely recommend and would like to go back.

We had weekend trips at Bern’s place and it was wonderful. Cabin is really cozy and had everything needed. Everything was properly marked for convenience. My kid had a wonderful time hiking and watching horses. Beautiful fire pit and peaceful nature.Bren was super responsive and helped whenever we needed anything. Wonderful place and helpful people.

Weekend Trip to Creekside at Crystal Lake

We had a fantastic weekend at this site. Because the weather was cooler, we were looking for cabin camping, and the cabin was thoroughly prepped with everything we might need and was very clean. The outhouse was also spotless. Our favorite part was the outdoor area beside the cabin, with the picnic table and campfire. It felt like we were in the middle of the woods, even though we weren’t far from civilization. There is some nearby road noise, which is hard to avoid given the location, but in the morning we heard birds and the crackling fire helped drown out the car sounds. This spot is perfect for anyone seeking cabin camping with a private, secluded feel for a getaway.

Weekend Trip to Creekside at Crystal Lake

I booked the cabin and one tent site to accommodate our group of 2 adults, three kids, and one dog. We setup the tent near the cabin and had a fantastic time! The cabin is cozy and was very comfortable for mom with two boys. The dispersed area looks great, although we did not use it. The host was very accommodating and responded to my barrage of questions. We felt very comfortable and safe. What a great place for a family getaway!

This cozy little cabin in the woods is a fantastic little find. The cabin is comfortable, cute, clean, and just overall a wonderful place to stay. I especially like the fire pit and sitting out and hearing all the crickets and sounds of nature. The double bed is quite comfortable and the host greeted us and made sure we had everything that we needed. Overall a high recommendation.
