Our horse farm is located in one of the most rural areas of Southern New Jersey. This land was once occupied by The Lanape Tribe. The adjacent creek was named after Chief Alloway. Artifacts of Native Americans have been found alongside this brackish water creek. This farm was for many years a dairy farm which was passed on for 3 generations until the late 80's. Our main horse breeds are 5 Arabians followed by 2 Thoroughbreds and 2 miniature ponies. In addition to horses you will see free range rabbits, chickens and beautiful cows. There are many antique shops in this area which tell the rich History of Southern NJ. Cowen mall and Royal Port are my two favorites. Another must see experience (at least once) in the area is The Cowtown Rodeo, one of the first and oldest in the country, only 14 minutes drive. Nestled outside the village of Stillwater, NJ right across the Appalachian trail and the Kittatinny Mountain Ridge, Camp David sports three luxurious log cabins: > Bell's Cabin- Main cabin that sleeps up to six > The Chatham House- Sleeps up to ten > Chief's Cottage- sleeps up to ten All cabins have their own separate listing and can be booked together or combined. The main cabin, Belle's Cabin, is made from hand hewed logs and is the only cabin furnished with a king size bed. All cabins come equipped with full bathrooms, updated kitchens, wood stoves, and the main cabin has a walkout porch on the second floor. All cabins have climate controlled heating/cooling units as well as hot water. Camp David was originally a German hunting camp at the turn of the 20th century. It was later donated to the Boy Scouts in the 1940’s. By the 2000’s, it was left abandoned at which time I purchased it and began to restore it back to its true form while maintaining the cabin life integrity. I am a contractor and arborist by trade and the last ten years I have worked hard to bring the site back to life. The camp consists of 13 acres abutted by 100's of acres of state park land. There are two stocked ponds connected by a cascading stream, multiple fire pits with seating, furnished gazebo with wood stove, picnic tables, and multiple park benches located throughout the property. Weekend Trip to Countryside Horse Farm

What a fabulous time it was on this farm. I went in December so it was a bit cold. The owner was was very kind. She had already put a space heater in there and warms it up for me. If you don't like the cold then do not go in the cooler months but you ABSOLUTELY should go in the 3 other seasons. I loved meeting the horses and waking up to the sounds of a rooster. On the way out to this farm I saw a few other farms. I saw the biggest bald eagle I've ever seen in my life as well as peacocks. All this in NJ. This was an amazing experience.

Great, easily accessible place. Dog friendly a huge plus with fenced area to roam. Host is very friendly and checked in during our stay how we were doing. Highly recommended if you are in the area! Cabin even in fall/winter has space heater and holds heat well.

We had a great weekend in the chief’s cabin as a group of four. It truly could not have been any nicer and still be considered a cabin. The furniture and construction gives the cabin a great smell that reminds you you’re in the woods even as you’re soaking in a copper tub and surrounded by air conditioning. The site features multiple large fire pits and a full stock of wood and kindling for burning. We visited crater lake but be prepared for an almost 40 minute drive despite it being only a mile away by hiking trail. Dave is a kind and well informed host and we felt completely safe, comfortable, and secluded at his property.

Our party booked campsite number one and the glamping cabin - what an awesome overnight it was! Loredana made sure that we had all the instructions about the site, bathroom accommodations, and were set up for a lovely evening. Perfect sunset over the river, the horses came to visit, and we made some fantastic memories. Honestly, a perfect overnight for a group of seasoned campers and camping newbies.

Plenty of beautiful space on the property! The ponds are a particularly a wonderful and beautiful feature (good for fishing!). The campfire area is shared between the three cabins. Very close to good hiking, Delaware Watergap Area and 20 minutes from downtown Newton.

Loredana's horse rescue farm is a apecial and unique getaway. She has put much love and charming touches throughout the property, and Loredana herself a kind soul. If you enjoy the presence of animals (especially horses, cats and a rooster) you will find it very magical to be amongst them. The cabin is very comfortable for one person, as well as the outdoor setup to chill, read, cook and enjoy a fire. Loved my stay and surely want to go back.

Exactly what I needed. I did a solo adventure and I am a single gal in her 20’s and felt completely safe! Loreadana was so nice and showed me around the entire property and introduced me to all the animals who were extremely friendly and safe! I slept in the single person enclosure and it did the trick just fine. Clean, had electricity. The bathroom is more of an outhouse vibe which I was completely fine with. The campsites looked super nice, definitely will try those next. And there is a large flowing creek near by where you can fish too! Great experience!

We had an excellent time staying at Bell’s Cabin. David was a great host and the property is beautiful. We are already talking about when we can visit again. Our trip was very relaxed, playing board games and enjoying the cabin fireplace. The full kitchen was clean and well-stocked with equipment. The cabin was very comfortable, with multiple nice beds and a very nice bathroom. It’s clear that the property is well-taken care of. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a relaxed and comfortable time in the woods.
