Our 2 and a half acre property is situated in a very rural quiet area. The Wickecheoke creek, a tributary of the Delaware, runs through the property. There is a private seating area for serene enjoyment and private meditation. Each camp site has a small private firepit and picnic table and the cabin has a large firepit, a patio area, and back deck. Plenty of wood is available - free again this season. There is a wooded site, an open site for self contained campers and tent campers, the "lil log cabin" and a large open grassy area, fun for children or dogs to recreate. How about camping in a Vintage Camper! We have on its own site a 1965 Trotwood, canned ham style camper. This cozy piece of the past is restored for nostalgic reflection. It has fine appointments, kitchenette, indoor private potty. She will sleep 4 comfortably. Or, stay in 'little log cabin' our cozy and complete cottage with full kitchen, full bathroom, queen size bed, and a pull out sofa, extra cot and pack and play. (Sleeps 4). There are many parks, conservation reserves and nature trails to hike nearby. Your can bike along farm roads in the area and find places to have your picnic lunch. Forgot some supplies?- within 3 short miles are many shops, services and resturants, many deliver. Several varieties of wildlife are in the area: you will spot eagles, white tail deer, racoons, wild turkeys and red fox, to name a few, while you stroll, bike or drive throught the area. Stop at the many creeks and enjoy the vibrant sounds of the bubbling waters; fish, frogs , turtles, blue heron and the many critters who habitate the waters. For birders there are over 75 species of birds within a short walk. During changes of seasons you can often see many birds in flight migrating to far away places. Bring your binoculars and camera. For you shop and antique explorers, just a short drive to the Delaware River and its quaint villages only 10 miles away: Lambertville, New Hope and Frenchtown. Boutiques, art studios, antique shops and restaurants . Enjoy any one of the many local Brewers, Distileries and vineyards all within a short drive of Oak Grove Acres.

Weekend Trip to Camp Nox ⛺️

Sarah was a very helpful and proactive host, and her campsite is located in a beautiful spot on her family’s land. She set up the site with everything we needed, from a camp sink, to a bevy of fire starters, to a clean porta potty. There are many fun games to play if you need a break from exploring. Even on a very wet weekend we enjoyed the short hike down to the peaceful river (even had a Bald Eagle fly by!) and the longer hike to the lake, and it’s a short drive to access more trails nearby as well. If you want to have a treat, a quick 5 min drive gets you to Owowcow for good ice cream and Kimberton cafe for tea and coffee. The family agreed this was one of our favorite campsites and we look forward to coming back in nicer weather.

Weekend Trip to Creekside at Crystal Lake

The cabin is small and quite comfortable. Great bed and couch. No power but there are battery power lights. A generator is available for a small fee and that might be essential in the heat of summer to run the AC. Sits all by itself away from the host’s home giving excellent privacy. Nice driveway into the cabin and easy to find. We stayed just one night but this would be a great base to see the area sites.

We loved Sandy and John's place. The well curated cabin was very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed exploring their landscaped oasis... kayaking on the creek, checking in with the goats, nature walks with magical finding along the way.... And the visits from Chicory Willow. Great experience all around. Highly recommend.

Weekend Trip to Creekside at Crystal Lake

We were truly happy to stay in this cabin. It meant a lot to us how thoughtfully the host prepared everything before our arrival — the grass was freshly cut, the firewood was chopped and stacked, the lanterns were turned on, and even the fire pit was already prepared with wood and sticks for us. The whole place felt so cozy and cared for, as if it had been prepared not just for guests, but with genuine love and attention. Even though we never met the host, it’s easy to feel that someone truly loves this place — and the people who come to stay here. We would absolutely love to come back to this lovely little cabin again.

I booked this for myself for a much needed recharge. I was ready to leave when my 15 y/o old told me she wanted to stay 1 night. They kindly accommodated the last minute change and made up the 2nd bed before we arrived. We pulled up and John and Sandy promptly came to welcome us to their place. They showed us around the cabin and let us know how to use everything. They made me feel so welcome and they seemed so happy to let us into their world there. It was the nicest check-in experience i've had anywhere. I loved the Haiku photo album and the journal for guests to write in. The very first entry was 4/29/13 (my daughter's 2nd bday) and the last one was 3/29/26 (my son's 12th bday)! I wish i had written in it bc i have a lot to say. Next time! When we met the goats was when my daughter decided she couldn't leave and ended up staying till Tues- i drove her to school till then. Holly and Hazel are cuties. Hazel liked the spotlight and when you scratched her in the right spot, her tail would wag away! The labyrinth is gorgeous- a beautiful work of art on it's own with a purpose I never knew! I enjoyed learning about them from the provided reading material. I did chat with Sandy and I decided that she is the coolest person in the world. She has great love for and intuitive wisdom of the earth, and she radiates love and acceptance. Hopefully I didn't scare her when I told her I want to become best friends.😆 Looking forward to another stay! Thank you Sandy and John!

Weekend Trip to Oak Grove Acres

I loved this cabin!!! You literally only need to show up with food and clothing. Everything else is there. Whatever you need to cook or be comfortable with is there. The hosts are super helpful when I had questions through the app. Took a nice relaxing weekend with my friend and we loved it.

3 nights at FernRock Retreat

Lovely place for a peaceful retreat for a chilly November weekend, even with a 5 year old. Sandy and John were such kind and welcoming hosts. The red cabin is an updated church camp cabin, with electric radiators and a modern wood stove for heat, a pretty cool composting toilet (indoor), sink+shower, simple kitchen with induction stove, and 2 bedrooms with linens and towels. Our 5-year old loved the tree house, fairy house, labyrinth, meditation stations, boat and Pooh's house and library. And we got really good at shuffleboard! Would definitely recommend and would like to go back.
