Small space, but adequate. The bathrooms, however, we're on another level! The water pressure was to die for, and the facilities & amenaties (club house, common area, etc) were awesome as well.

We greatly enjoyed staying at Village Camp Truckee. The staff was super friendly. The campground is beautiful; well maintained, grassy dog parks, fabulous playground and clubhouse. Very family friendly. Close to Truckee & Donner. Also, a delicious breakfast on Saturday, prepared with love.

The site was very clean and well maintained. It was also very spacious for an RV site. The host was very welcoming and helpful when it came to all of the activities that were happening over the weekend. Our site was towards the back of the park, so it was pretty quiet. We will definitely be planning another stay with a slightly larger group!

Very clean campground. Well kept and well organized.
Sites were fairly close together but it remained quiet.
The Friday night movie was great and an unexpected surprise. Then there was a free breakfast Saturday morning that was amazing. There was everything you could think of for breakfast!

We actually got upgraded to a better spot than the originally booked spot at 79. Management was nice enough to provide us the available option to move to a quieter spot on the outer boundary (#107). This was our 1st stay with Village Camp and we were pleasantly surprised by its convenience, comforts and amenities for a RV Park. Really appreciated the cleanliness of the bathrooms/showers, the comfortable club house accessible to all and of course the service by the front office--all great! Will definitely stay again for our van stays in Truckee.

2 night stopover for us and our RV on a Cali roadtrip, all the services for hook up. We arrived late after a long drive from Yosemite, seamless late check-in with info on email, very nice helpful folk running the site, good showers, nice clubhouse, all tidy, clean and spacious, topped up our propane ..cant ask for anything more! Hope to stay longer next time.
We used this site location close to Truckee for a day out (hour drive) to Lake Tahoe and Sugar Pine Point state park which was a beauty, nice swim and time on the beach, relaxing on our last day ..it was also convenient for the long drive back early morning to Fremont to return RV before flying back to UK

What a great spot! I'd bookmarked this Hipcamp for a couple of years hoping to stay here some day and I was not disappointed! I stayed with a friend visiting from Japan and we had plenty of room for a 2 and 4 person tent. Ted and Steven provided water, a cool outdoor shower with lightshow, tons of walking paths and porta potty. Solid picnic table overlooking a view. Nice flat sites and easy to back car in to get close to setup area. Very convenient to Virginia City, which we visited, but we mainly were stopping on our way to Great Basin National Park. Would stay here again - hosts were wonderful and the property (especially with all the little lights) was enchanting!

The Model Farm was an oasis in the desert. I’m from the East Coast and it was refreshing to camp on the pond and hear such vibrant birdlife after several weeks on the road. The site is just outside of town so it’s a convenient location to resupply if you’re on a longer trip!

Fun night at the Model Farm. Rustic but charming, highlighted by the pond full of ducks and all the birds! Julie and Tom were flexible about where we wanted to set up - we chose across the pond as a windbreak and for more privacy. Yes, there are a lot of dogs, but after their raucous welcome, no problem with sound or interfering with our dog. Thanks for your hospitlity!

Chollar Mine
Chollar Mine represents one of the richest silver strikes in U.S. history. A leading mine on the Comstock, it was first worked back in 1859 and produced more than $17 million in silver and gold throughout its active history. Today, campers can take a day trip to the mine and enjoy tours with special exhibits that show how early miners operated the site. Nearby RV parks and private campgrounds give campers of all kinds a convenient spot to rest as many include restrooms and showers.
Lake Tahoe-Nevada State Park
Less than an hour’s drive from Virginia City, Lake Tahoe-Nevada State Park is popular for its beaches, lake activities, and winter sports. Enjoy boating, hiking, bird watching, and mountain biking in warmer months. During winter, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, and snowboarding remain favorite pastimes. The best places for fishing in the park are Zephyr Cove or nearby Rubicon Point, and hikers will want to check out Flume Trail for its great views.
