Cute little cabin nestled in Tahoe National forest . This little gem is on an acre of land surrounded by national forest land. Close enough to Lake Tahoe to get to but also away from the Tahoe chaos. Host lives on property , but will most likely be out and about most of the day. There are two neighbors but both own 20 acres so you can not see them, feels very private. The front of the property where the cabin is located there will be some highway noise being close to highway 20 , especially during a busy weekend. you can’t hear highway noise while in the cabin and towards the back of the land. However it is nice to be so close to highway 20 because it leads to several different destinations. ( west : Nevada city. east: towards Tahoe, and both directions there are soo many lakes/ rivers ) Tiny house: •Full sized futon downstairs and king sized mattress in loft. Electric fireplace, all the game boards , cards, chess, fire pit, projector for movies if requested!!! •Additional guests are welcome to pitch a tent on the land if needed. •Hot plate, toaster oven, mini fridge, kitchen appliances, coffee (French press, drip, mocha pot). Black stone grill outside. Fire pit , check if fires are allowed during booking •Separate bathroom with compost toilet or a short walk to outhouse. Outdoor shower in the making, message if available. FUN: •Lake Spaulding is about 1/4 mile hike down from the property. There is a boat launch and plenty of room to park it on the property if you want to bring a boat. I had an incredibly rejuvenating time at the Scotts Dear Lodge! Krysten went out of her way with little gestures to make the space feel clean, comfortable, and inviting. A home away from home, if you will. It was also incredible waking up with a cup of coffee while it snowed outside! The kitchen was fully stocked with all the supplies you would need to prepare a nice home-cooked meal for yourself, and the wood-burning stove was also a highlight! I recommend this spot to anyone looking for a trip for a small family, couples, or solo adventurers! Don't miss out on this charming spot

Weekend Trip to Magical Lost Sierra Bungalow!
Staying at this magical little cabin in the woods was everything you could ask for and then some. We had a great time just enjoying the quietness of the area and just the sounds of the Yuba river. The cabin was beautiful and just felt like staying in a piece of history with how beautiful it was inside and out. Stay here and you wont regret it, only that you didnt book a longer stay.

We greatly enjoyed staying at Village Camp Truckee. The staff was super friendly. The campground is beautiful; well maintained, grassy dog parks, fabulous playground and clubhouse. Very family friendly. Close to Truckee & Donner. Also, a delicious breakfast on Saturday, prepared with love.

The site was very clean and well maintained. It was also very spacious for an RV site. The host was very welcoming and helpful when it came to all of the activities that were happening over the weekend. Our site was towards the back of the park, so it was pretty quiet. We will definitely be planning another stay with a slightly larger group!

We had such a fun and peaceful time at Ari’s little piece of heaven. It’s a very cute getaway surrounded by tall trees, so it’s in the shade most of the day. It never felt hot in the tiny house, even though the temps where in the high 80’s. It is obvious that a lot of love and thoughtfulness is being put into the property to make sure the guests have a lovely stay. We loved everything about it. Taking a shower outdoors under the blue skies and trees was very nice. Enjoyed the outdoor meals and sink. She had just finished the bathroom and it was a very nice and appreciated addition. The lake is a 15 min nice hike away. Ari greeted us upon arrival and showed us how to get to the trail. We went to the water first thing and had a good time before a beautiful sunset dinner. Ari lives in the main house 20 feet away from the tiny house, but went away for the weekend so it felt very private. Me made great memories there and the kids can’t wait to come back! Thank you!

Arianne's place was awesome. The hut itself was nice and cozy for my girlfriend and I, and our dog. The blackstone out near the fire pit was my personal favorite! Spaulding lake was a short drive away and made for a nice swim on the hot day we stayed. Overall, would def stay here if you're looking for a comfy place to stay.

Great spot just a 2-minute drive to beautiful lake Spaulding. We loved it! Our boys & the dog camped outside in the tent while we slept in the tiny house. Hostess was very attentive and available. Recommend for a nearby lake glamping getaway!!

Very clean campground. Well kept and well organized. Sites were fairly close together but it remained quiet. The Friday night movie was great and an unexpected surprise. Then there was a free breakfast Saturday morning that was amazing. There was everything you could think of for breakfast!

The cabin is just like my home with the usual amenities, yet has the added benefit of being out in nature. It is very close to Hwy 80, so no guesswork of where to find it. The bathroom/shower, the firm bed, the great kitchen/dining nook layout and the living room all make for a very comfortable stay. My pup and I enjoyed exploring the 'hood; I saw only one person during my four day/three night visit, so the remoteness and quiet away from suburbia was most welcome. Krysten was most responsive to my questions. Will visit, again, for sure.

We actually got upgraded to a better spot than the originally booked spot at 79. Management was nice enough to provide us the available option to move to a quieter spot on the outer boundary (#107). This was our 1st stay with Village Camp and we were pleasantly surprised by its convenience, comforts and amenities for a RV Park. Really appreciated the cleanliness of the bathrooms/showers, the comfortable club house accessible to all and of course the service by the front office--all great! Will definitely stay again for our van stays in Truckee.

2 night stopover for us and our RV on a Cali roadtrip, all the services for hook up. We arrived late after a long drive from Yosemite, seamless late check-in with info on email, very nice helpful folk running the site, good showers, nice clubhouse, all tidy, clean and spacious, topped up our propane ..cant ask for anything more! Hope to stay longer next time. We used this site location close to Truckee for a day out (hour drive) to Lake Tahoe and Sugar Pine Point state park which was a beauty, nice swim and time on the beach, relaxing on our last day ..it was also convenient for the long drive back early morning to Fremont to return RV before flying back to UK

We had a wonderful stay at the Pequena Hut with our two large dogs! The hut is cozy, clean, and stocked with everything you need for basic cooking. We used the Blackstone grill for all our meals and loved eating by the fire each evening. The location is incredible — we visited Emerald Pools, but the real highlight was Blue Lake. It’s a bit off the beaten path, and we had it almost entirely to ourselves. The swimming was perfect and peaceful. We also checked out the trail to Lake Spaulding, which is doable for humans but a bit too rough for one of our pups. Each evening, we walked up to the rocks above the hut to watch the sunset — definitely a favorite moment. Pro tip: during hot days, aim the fan outward upstairs and keep the windows and door open to create a cooling draft. At night, turn the fan inward and you’ll get a nice breeze through the loft for comfortable sleep. We’d love to come back!
