You will receive messages from us after booking and before your arrival, so please check your Hipcamp inbox. The RV spaces are behind the Baker Fuel and RV gas station. All sites are back-in only and have full hook-ups: 30amp and 50 amp electricity, sewer and water. There is a public bathroom, shower and laundry facility next to the sites. RV Site 5 is closest to the bathroom and RV Site 1 is furthest away. This camping part of the property offers five primitive campsites, situated in a natural, secluded area that was once a pond. Conveniently just south of the only gas station in town and behind the Great Basin Basecamp Airbnb, the sites are close to the highway but sit lower in elevation, providing privacy and shielding them from the road. Guests have access to a small building with clean restrooms, showers and one set of coin-operated laundry facilities for added convenience. Campsite #1 is closest to the restrooms, #5 is the furthest. No campfires as our fire danger is very high most of the year. There are water spigots at Site #1, between #2 and #3 and Site #5. The Lehman Caves Visitor Center at Great Basin National Park is about 5 miles up the road on Highway 488.

Wide open desert with history. In the 1800s the area was prospected for lead and silver. It was also used as farmland decades ago, and now is infamous for it's world class night skies and Area 51 air force installation. Although you can see planes taking off towards the Nellis Bombing Range, or see jetfighter training exercises or even test flights, the US Government still hasn't acknowledged the existence of the facility... that you are not allowed to enter. This is also a UFO hotspot and required visiting for those that believe Earth may have visitors. This land means a lot to a lot of different people. For some, it means peace from city life. For others, it is the perfect setting for reflection on your life. Many find it to be the kind of adventurous or challenging tent camping they've sought. You'd be foolish not to count yourself among those the photographers, amateur astronomers, or souls that enjoy the continental United States' "darkest skies" with the least amount of light pollution in this part of the world. Some simply like camping and getting free air shows. Finally, if you enjoy UFO stories or stories of our men in black, there is an itinerary for you here that nowhere else can provide. This area is on many "independent researchers" must-visit list. If all that weren't enough, there is an indescribable feeling of bedding down for the night in this valley. Video and instructions made it very easy to find. Dirt road was smooth and easy to drive with a rig. Used the firepit and watched the stars, sadly it was cloudy. Appears to have another campsite not far from dreamland but still minimal light pollution. Gas station seemed be back in town 10 min drive, otherwise you’re quite a bit away from one so plan accordingly. Beautiful area. Would stop again

We had a great stay at Leo’s place. He was a wonderful host! The spot was very large, well maintained and level with easy access to all hookups. Leo had a fire pit with all of the wood for fires throughout our stay, it was a great touch. Leo has chickens on his property and allowed our children to go over each day and help to feed and care for them, it really made the kids feel special and was such a great experience for them. We would absolutely recommend anyone to go and stay with Leo while in Vegas. Thank you for everything Leo!!

Weekend Trip to Beagletopia - Your Quiet Escape!

It was wonderful camping. close enough to civilization that I didn't have to worry if I forgot something, but far enough away that it was quiet all weekend - unless you don't like the sound of coyotes singing, and dark enough to sit out, watch the sunset, and enjoy a nice pour of Weller C.Y.P.B.. My trailer is 22 feet, so I would pull in, and still unhook, giving me a great view of the mountains. Weekend Trip to The Alchemist

Quiet and well fenced in secluded part of town just an hour from Vegas with beautiful view of the stars. We even had a small grill in addition to the camp fire hit. The path to the bathroom was a bit far but well lit. The hot water was the main reason we picked this spot. We would totally come here again if we have the chance.

In the hustle and bustle that is Las Vegas this was an oasis of peace. While the term « resort » may be exaggerated, it’s clean, quiet, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Close to services and the strip.

Cozy deck/lounging chairs with views of the sunset, stars and sunrise. Perfect morning coffee spot!

1 night at Vegas Glamping

This place is so great! The location is a little adventure and the area is quiet and so chill. My friend and I enjoyed our stay and slept with our tent open. Coming from the Joshua Tree desert, we get a lot of critters... not here. Besides a super friendly chipmunk, don't think it was Chippy but he was a fun little buddy to watch as he explored our space.

I enjoyed the dome campsite and its secluded location very much. I'm a podcaster and I recorded my journey through Lovell Canyon and my experience at the dome for my show. I plan to use the dome again but on my next visit I will be bringing my fellow podcast hosts. Thank you Keilani for creating such a wonderful place for me to enjoy a quiet little pocket of the world and be alone with my thoughts.

Super easy place to spend the night. Price was right, full hookups with a shower and laundry facility. Baker is a hip little town. Grocery/book store across the street has nicely curated groceries for small store.

It was nice to have a bed, shower and water so close to Death Valley, although not as short a drive as Google Maps shows. The place is quirky with a hilarious backstory. Best of luck to the family trying to bring the historic saloon back to life.

This location is ideal if you’re traveling across Nevada. It was very quiet and had full service, in addition to clean bathrooms and showers. I would certainly stop there again if I were in the area.

Weekend Trip to The Alchemist

Irma and Carlos were great hosts. They have a bathroom available with water for washing. One site even has power (which we didn’t need). Sunsets were incredible! Sites level and spacious. We had fun visiting their goats and chickens. We explored all around and it was great to have a home base.
