We are in somewhat of a rural area, so you might see bats in the evening, and bunnies in the morning. We have even seen coyote, owl, and of course lots of geese flying between golf courses in the morning during many months of the year. We are away from the city lights, so nighttime can be quite dark, but the moon can be a spectacular site in the night sky.
Red Rock Canyon is 16 miles away. Many of our guests enjoy the scenic beauty or climbing opportunities in Red Rock. Nevada's newest state park, Ice Age Fossils State Park, is just a few miles away and offers a glimpse into prehistoric time in the region. If you enjoy ziplining then check out Slotzilla at Fremont Street or on the Las Vegas strip at the LINQ.

Welcome to your peaceful, desert getaway. This little Retro Camper is only about 35 minutes from the Strip. The property is home to Joshua trees, desert mountain views, beautiful sunsets, and some of the best star gazing around.
The camper comes with a full kitchen, a refrigerator, microwave, and gas stove. Dishes and utensils are provided as well as bedding and towels. The bed is about a full size bed, maybe a bit smaller, cozy for two people to sleep in. This was the second time we enjoyed staying at the Hummingbird tiny home and spending an extra night was well needed. The hosts Sandi and Rob were very accommodating and friendly and easy to contact about anything. We enjoyed everything the tiny home had to offer, including nights outside around the campfire and enjoying the peace and quiet that Vegas can’t always offer. We felt very safe and welcomed during our stay. We hope to come back more often for these types of getaways!

We thought this camper was very cute and convenient being so close to Vegas but also away from all the hectic side of Vegas. We loved the outdoor seating area/hammock. The fire pit was also a lot of fun. They even provided the roasting sticks as we forgot to bring ours which was so nice of them. Heather was also really great with providing us with recommendations on what to do and where to eat while we were there. Overall a neat experience.

Great spot and really neat historic features in town! We hiked the 2.2 loop right outside the town and it was scenic and peaceful. At night you can hear the music and life of the natives which gives it even more charm! Great views of the stars on a clear night!

Weekend Trip to Mojave Desert Ranch
We love Sandy Valley Ranch and look forward to going as often as we can. This was our third time staying and first time staying in the tipi! They provide a space heater and heated blanket so you can be nice and cozy. I still recommend bringing warm layers. We were pleasantly surprised with the little outhouse, it was a regular toilet. We didn't get to use the shower but it's really a perfect setup.
The outside couches were perfect for lounging in and we especially love making breakfast and hot chocolate in the mornings. They also have a mini fridge which we appreciate. You have everything you need. The dogs and farm are always something we look forward to as well.
I would recommend staying!
