The closest town for gas and food is Pahrump which is about 20 minutes away. My place is perfect if you want to get away from the city for a little bit, or if you are traveling the country in your RV, trailer, or tent. Construction started in 2016 and now we have our first temporary building and working on the others. From China ranch it's a 40 min hike through Mars like terrain to a swimming hole complete with a small waterfall, where the Amargosa River comes above ground. The ancient lake bed where Tranqvillium is located is surrounded by medium height mountains, which are perfect for rock scrambling, and the world famous Red Rock climbing site is nearby too. The place is very rugged and is recommended for experienced campers who are not taken aback by wilderness living.

Welcome to your peaceful, desert getaway. This little Retro Camper is only about 35 minutes from the Strip. The property is home to Joshua trees, desert mountain views, beautiful sunsets, and some of the best star gazing around.
The camper comes with a full kitchen, a refrigerator, microwave, and gas stove. Dishes and utensils are provided as well as bedding and towels. The bed is about a full size bed, maybe a bit smaller, cozy for two people to sleep in. Tranqvillium was purchased in 2016 with the intention of creating Gaia Earthen Technologies Sustainable Living Educational and Research Center. Construction started in 2016 and now we have our first temporary building and working on the others. This was the second time we enjoyed staying at the Hummingbird tiny home and spending an extra night was well needed. The hosts Sandi and Rob were very accommodating and friendly and easy to contact about anything. We enjoyed everything the tiny home had to offer, including nights outside around the campfire and enjoying the peace and quiet that Vegas can’t always offer. We felt very safe and welcomed during our stay. We hope to come back more often for these types of getaways!

We thought this camper was very cute and convenient being so close to Vegas but also away from all the hectic side of Vegas. We loved the outdoor seating area/hammock. The fire pit was also a lot of fun. They even provided the roasting sticks as we forgot to bring ours which was so nice of them. Heather was also really great with providing us with recommendations on what to do and where to eat while we were there. Overall a neat experience.

Weekend Trip to Retro Camper with Mountain Views
Great spot and really neat historic features in town! We hiked the 2.2 loop right outside the town and it was scenic and peaceful. At night you can hear the music and life of the natives which gives it even more charm! Great views of the stars on a clear night!

Weekend Trip to Mojave Desert Ranch
We love Sandy Valley Ranch and look forward to going as often as we can. This was our third time staying and first time staying in the tipi! They provide a space heater and heated blanket so you can be nice and cozy. I still recommend bringing warm layers. We were pleasantly surprised with the little outhouse, it was a regular toilet. We didn't get to use the shower but it's really a perfect setup.
The outside couches were perfect for lounging in and we especially love making breakfast and hot chocolate in the mornings. They also have a mini fridge which we appreciate. You have everything you need. The dogs and farm are always something we look forward to as well.
I would recommend staying!
