Havens Ranch is a 154 acres in the Humboldt river valley just 10 minutes outside of Winnemucca, NV. We have a small outdoor wedding venue, and only rent our spaces when we are not hosting an event. You are welcome to utilize the grounds and facilities, which include a beautifully landscaped lawn, historic buildings and modern plumed bathrooms. We also provide access to fresh well water and use of our large fire pits!
**Please note that our bathrooms are not insulated and so we winterize the plumbing the in the colder months and will instead be providing a porta-john. There will still be potable running water available at the spigot. **
The river is a short walk away, and our longhorn cattle will most likely be grazing in the adjacent field. We have incredible sunsets and a variety of wildlife living on the property. This is a great space to get away from the city for a weekend, or camp for a night on your way through town.
We have both a guest suite and several camping spaces available. It's a large property and we love to share it!
If you are looking for outdoor activities, we are just minutes away from the Winnemucca Dunes OHV area (also great for hiking!), Water Canyon rec site, the Bloody Shins mountain biking trail system, and about an hour away from the Paradise Valley rock climbing area. We are 10 minutes from Winnemucca, about half way between Reno and Elko.

While not necessarily traditional camping, I enjoyed pitching my tent next to the long horn cattle. They proved to be good camping companions. The sunset from this location was spectacular. I found it to be a safe stop over for a solo female traveler.

We arrived after dark with our trailer and got a bit lost- Warren rescued us!! So grateful he answered his phone. Wonderful to wake up to a herd of cattle who escaped from a neighboring ranch. Our 9# chihuahua mix thought she was a ranch dog; she was off leash exploring and was in heaven with all the smells. A fun first stop on our 3 week road trip.

We enjoyed our one-night stay at Mountain View Hipcamp. We were the only ones staying for the night which made for a nice quiet evening. This is a wedding venue also so there are clean restrooms, a water spigot, fire pit with wood. Nice stop away from loud traffic noise. Really enjoyed it.

What a fabulous respite! Gracious host, beautiful country. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Loved the sound of coyotes, star-gazing, stunning silence, all in a well-appointed canvas tent. The bed was so comfortable and I was charmed to boil water for cowboy coffee on the wood stove in the morning. Road-tripping so a short one night stay, but I hope I get a chance to return!

Such a fun and unique stop on our road trip! The kids loved the lasso, biking around, and sleeping in their own tent under the stars. The extras were amazing, highly recommend the pizza supplies, breakfast delivered, and fresh eggs to take on the road. A wonderful family-friendly spot!

Wow! What a great place. Super nice hosts who literally thought of everything to make sure their guests are comfortable. The bed was perfect, we slept like babies, and oh, the quiet was soooo nice. We booked this site in the evening upon arriving. We had originally booked the hipcamp just north of here and did not feel safe upon arriving at that site. The ranch accepted our late booking and they were responsive to our question upon arriving. Great indoor bathrooms and nice grass to tent on.

My partner, my dog and I had such an incredible time staying at Star Gaze Ranch. It is such a special place with breathtaking views, grounding silence and beautiful stars. The glamping spot was well equipped with the necessities and with thoughtful additional details. The host was very nice and accommodating. I would highly recommend this place for a unique experience. We would love to stay here again next we’re passing through Nevada.

We only spent one night at Star Gaze Ranch, but it was well worth it! It was a lovely setup with beautiful scenery. The stars were beautiful at night, and the sunrise was wonderful as well. The hosts thought of everything to make us comfortable for our stay and we're very responsive. We brought our dog and 2 year old who both also had a great time looking for bugs and playing in the dirt! The cowboy coffee was superb as well. Thank you so much for making our stay one of a kind!

This was our first time staying in a tent in the desert, and it was such a unique experience! We even got to witness a rare dust storm, which made the trip even more memorable. The host was incredibly helpful and welcoming. Everything in the tent was thoughtfully set up for comfort and convenience. We especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast sandwich. Highly recommend!
