Beautiful lake view. Brayden was very personable and helpful. We and the dog had a lovely evening sitting by the campfire and enjoying the sunset.

Our host was the most accommodating and helpful host ever! Our son has selected this location as a last minute, let’s take the kids somewhere this weekend, option. Then I was communicating with Brayden about the accommodations, if we could get an RV site near our sons tent site. Brayden got us all set up. When we arrived he even guided us down to our site. On day 2, we got a flat and Brayed was able to give us enough air to limp into town, meanwhile windstorm came in, blew sons canopy into the fence and Brayden went and helped him remove the tattered remains. If you like desert camping, this is your ticket. We did bug out early because of wind, tire and then catastrophic electrical issue in trailer.

Wonderful host, greeted us at arrival and showed us where the bathroom was. We could have had a fire if we weren’t so tired and needed to sleep as he had wood for sale (very cool!). The sand was SUPER fine like a powder, good to know, use tarps on the ground to protect your tent and stuff. Totally had nothing to do with his awesome hosting, but good to know.

Soda Lake Oasis is exactly as described. Brayden, his son and puppy gave us a very nice welcome. A peaceful place in a beautiful setting.

Beautiful desert camping with big skies and a gorgeous sunset. Lots of birds come to visit the lake. Brayden was very welcoming and quick to communicate. It’s the desert, so no shade, lots of dust. Be prepared and you will love it!

The spot by the Soda Lake was beautiful and Brayden was exceptionally helpful and responsive. If I were in the area of Fallon NV again, I would stay here.

Brayden’s place was perfect for us as we made our way across Nevada! The lake was beautiful. The sunset and the stars were spectacular! Brayden was very responsive and we felt very safe on their land.

We LOVED Soda Lake Oasis Tent Site! It was super easy to find with clear concise directions. We got in very late and Brayden was super gracious and welcoming with the cutest dog and kids! Each site was clearly marked with a picnic table and fire ring- which feels very fancy given our experience with other hipcamps. The lake is so beautiful and special. I dont think I've ever seen anything like it! We now have a whole new appreciation for Nevada!

Soda lake desert oasis - boondock
Great little spot close to town, but far enough away you don’t realize how close you are! Views were incredible! Sunsets were gorgeous! We spent a day at the lake. Interesting place! The history was really neat! We swam, not sure that everyone would, but we did and it was perfect since it was soooo hot! The water is really fizzy (hence ‘soda’ lake) and perfect temp for floating! Definitely rinse off after swimming! But great for cooling down in the heat of the day! It was a bit (a lot) dusty! But you are in the desert and boondocking so it sort of comes with the territory! Overall we had a great time! Brandon was easy to communicate with. The sites were great with picnic tables and trash cans! He’s got a great set up going! It was perfect for us to get away from the hustle and bustle of the 4th of July weekend!

This was the perfect site. Large table, fire pit and soft/flat dirt for easy tent camping. It was also easy to find and the clean portable restroom was a major plus! We’ll be back!

Brayden was a really great host and we enjoyed staying at this site near the lake. Definitely prepare to be camping in the sand though!

Very peaceful gem of a spot. Amazing what some water can do in the desert. Nice camping and great hosts. Not far from route 80 and Fallon which makes life easy. Would recommend and probably be back as well

Off the beat and track, right on Soda Lake, with a beautiful sunset. We were having difficulty finding a last minute spot on Memorial weekend and we found Soda Bay Desert Oasis on Hip Camp. The camp Host was clearing our camp spot as we rolled in, what service! We were one of the first to stay here, don’t you be the last!!
