Havens Ranch is a 154 acres in the Humboldt river valley just 10 minutes outside of Winnemucca, NV. We have a small outdoor wedding venue, and only rent our spaces when we are not hosting an event. You are welcome to utilize the grounds and facilities, which include a beautifully landscaped lawn, historic buildings and modern plumed bathrooms. We also provide access to fresh well water and use of our large fire pits!
**Please note that our bathrooms are not insulated and so we winterize the plumbing the in the colder months and will instead be providing a porta-john. There will still be potable running water available at the spigot. **
The river is a short walk away, and our longhorn cattle will most likely be grazing in the adjacent field. We have incredible sunsets and a variety of wildlife living on the property. This is a great space to get away from the city for a weekend, or camp for a night on your way through town.
We have both a guest suite and several camping spaces available. It's a large property and we love to share it!
If you are looking for outdoor activities, we are just minutes away from the Winnemucca Dunes OHV area (also great for hiking!), Water Canyon rec site, the Bloody Shins mountain biking trail system, and about an hour away from the Paradise Valley rock climbing area. We are 10 minutes from Winnemucca, about half way between Reno and Elko.

We arrived after dark with our trailer and got a bit lost- Warren rescued us!! So grateful he answered his phone. Wonderful to wake up to a herd of cattle who escaped from a neighboring ranch. Our 9# chihuahua mix thought she was a ranch dog; she was off leash exploring and was in heaven with all the smells. A fun first stop on our 3 week road trip.

We enjoyed our one-night stay at Mountain View Hipcamp. We were the only ones staying for the night which made for a nice quiet evening. This is a wedding venue also so there are clean restrooms, a water spigot, fire pit with wood. Nice stop away from loud traffic noise. Really enjoyed it.

I actually didn't get the opportunity to stay. We came into the area hours later than expected (dark) and immediately lost cell reception, no GPS, no email, no phone, making it to difficult to find. Once we got back into cell range I messaged host and they were ready to do just about anything to help us get back. Very friendly and when we are in the area again we will give it another try. Not host fault, T-Mobile's fault 😊.

We booked this site in the evening upon arriving. We had originally booked the hipcamp just north of here and did not feel safe upon arriving at that site. The ranch accepted our late booking and they were responsive to our question upon arriving. Great indoor bathrooms and nice grass to tent on.

We were driving through and couldn’t find a place to stay so last minute booked here! We got here when it was dark but the direction were super easy to follow and we were able to get down and set up! We also left really early but when we woke up and saw the space it’s large, enough for a decent amount of people to camp with space. The bathrooms are great.
Also when we work up the longhorns were staring at us from a distance behind the fence, and I loved that!

We enjoyed our stay at this location. They were having an event at the time of our arrival but we had plenty of space to pull in with our 36 ft. Class A. We were a but nervous about entering the gates and the downhill descent into the space but had no trouble going in or going out. If you like peace, quiet, and beautiful scenery this working ranch sill serve you well.

The entry to this property, with its chaotic assemblage of old and new equipment, camouflages the peaceful vista that awaits when you drop over the hill toward the camping area. A beautiful grass lawn under tasteful canopies and bistro lights, a pleasantly rustic but comfortable bathroom setup, a convenient supply of potable well water, and serene fields and longhorns across the way. We were not traveling with kids, but were we, they would have had a wonderful time in the natural play area. We were forewarned by Warren that sprinklers came on at 3:30 am, and when they did it woke me up... and because the grass is so lush, mosquitos were quite present in the evening... but these minor things are easily addressed with earplugs and mosquito repellant. 😁

We stayed here on the way to Oregon with our four dogs! We had the entire area to ourselves besides a camper that was up the hill a little. Huge open space and so much room for our dogs to run around! Beautiful views! We enjoyed watching the longhorns and listening to the cows! There’s very little light pollution so we could see all the stars at night. We would 100% stay here again!

We loved the laid back setting in the beautiful Sierra Nevada forest! The Camp Ground is very quiet and serene and is relaxing from the very start! The staff could not be more accommodating especially Xavier who was very helpful and engaging. We were lucky enough to camp next to Alejandra another very friendly staff member who helped us navigate the facility and local attractions. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
