You will have private access to the tiny home property from the alley behind the main little brick home. The parking lot can fit up to 2 compact cars along with free street parking. The property is completely fenced off with exception of the driveway.
*This tiny home is located on the same property as the main little brick house but only accessible via the alley. Please do not disturb guests at the main house address that is 6227 Parker St.
Other things to note
Although the unit has a bath tub, the water heater is a limited size and not designed to fill the tub with hot water. This water heater will only support quick showers. I recommend spacing out quick showers for multiple guests.
To add, the fixtures on the tub are just for design. They do not operate. The fixtures for the shower head bucket are located directly above the bath fixtures located on the wall. They can sometimes be hidden by shower curtain.
This is a low flow system that pours out of a bucket. It’s a relaxing old fashioned way of showering. Please do not have expectations of a high pressure shower head you may be accustomed.

EXTREMELY attentive, communicative, and kind hosts! Electric and water available. Basically, you'll back into one of the driveway spaces near thier garage to connect. The very unique silo swings, sitting area, fire pit, etc, are only steps from your door. The property is located just outside of town. Enough to provide the privacy and beauty of nature but close enough to get supplies within minutes. Unfortunately, the night I chose to book, the area experienced exceptionally high winds and I was unable to take advantage of the cool amenities provided. I barely slept due to my campervan rocking like I've never experienced before (obviously, no fault of the hosts). This was my very first stay using the Hipcamp app and oh boy, do I wish I'd have come across it sooner on my travels! I would highly recommend this spot, especially to families with small children, due to the reasonable rates and unique accommodations. Thank you!

I stayed at the Fence Post in October, after water was shut off for the winter. HOWEVER, when I made the reservation, the host was very quick to tell me this… so I was prepared! Kathy was great about giving instructions to get to the spot (make sure you don’t come in too close to the building!), and how to leave if backing up was a problem. The area behind me was very spacious so it was “easy” to back out and drive out! ( I say “easy,” because I’m new at travel trailering and backing up isn’t ever really easy for me - yet!!). I was very pleased with how level it was - from a picture I had seen, I didn’t expect that! Woo hoo! Lots of green space available to walk the dogs. This was a one-night stay - just passing through. I noted that others discussed traffic noise. It is true, it is not too far off the road BUT, I didn’t hear a thing (& I didn’t have tv or music on!!)! I am happy to recommend it to other hipcampers! This is probably one of the best hipcamp experiences we have had, and we have stayed at several across the country. The property is plenty spacious, with all of the amenities you could need, including a unique gazebo area that was custom built by the owner. We loved camping on Mike's land. Unfortunately it was very humid when we came in and no breeze at all. Mike did provide a rechargeable fan, which made it bearable. The mattress on the bed was very comfortable and the "loo" worked great 😉. We were able to enjoy hearing a Barred Owl serenade us for quite a while. And we even enjoyed a small thunderstorm. All things I love while camping. We would love to come back when it isn't quite as hot and humid to be able to enjoy a fire and some hiking. The property is beautiful.

It's a nice place to stay. It's essentially her backyard. It overlooks the passing road and she has some backyard furniture with back lighting around. You don't have to worry about setting up tables and chairs. If you need a bathroom you do need to run down to a nearby gas station. A partially enclosed spot to set up a camping potty would be a nice addition. All in all, it was a pretty good camp. Tasha is very friendly and hospitable. Would recommend.

The Fence Post is conveniently located right off highway 29. It was a perfect spot to post up for the night on my journey across the US. There is a nice field right in front of the parking spot. A few reviews mention highway noise. You can hear it but it didn’t feel bothersome and with a fan on, I couldn’t hear it at all.
