I am located to the West of Interstate 29 off exit 95 halfway between Omaha, Nebraska and Sioux City, Iowa. It is near where the Little Sioux River meets the Missouri River. There is river access with bank fishing and a boat ramp. The Loess Hills are nearby and the state forest. There are small lakes in the surrounding areas and Lewis and Clark parks with beautiful views.

The space
This tiny home features a queen size bed that is hung by rope. The winch will lower and raise the bed to the ceiling to provide more available space for activities. A working space table that folds down from the wall that includes a comfortable 3-way chair that can be converted to a lounge sofa or to a comfy little cot that sleeps 1 person. A loft sits above the kitchenette that the kids and/or you short kings and queens will be able to lay your head down for a good nights rest on the memory foam padded bedding.
Guest access
You will have private access to the tiny home property from the alley behind the main little brick home. The parking lot can fit up to 2 compact cars along with free street parking. The property is completely fenced off with exception of the driveway.
*This tiny home is located on the same property as the main little brick house but only accessible via the alley. Please do not disturb guests at the main house address that is 6227 Parker St.
Other things to note
Although the unit has a bath tub, the water heater is a limited size and not designed to fill the tub with hot water. This water heater will only support quick showers. I recommend spacing out quick showers for multiple guests.
To add, the fixtures on the tub are just for design. They do not operate. The fixtures for the shower head bucket are located directly above the bath fixtures located on the wall. They can sometimes be hidden by shower curtain.
This is a low flow system that pours out of a bucket. It’s a relaxing old fashioned way of showering. Please do not have expectations of a high pressure shower head you may be accustomed.

Jenice was so kind and very communicative. She made sure I had what I needed and the camping area was very pretty and convenient with easily accessible bathroom and shower access. (Leave water to run for a bit... it does get warm!) The gazebo is super cool and if the fire ban want in effect and winds weren't so crazy on my stay I would have loved to sit around a fire hahaha definitely recommend if you're looking for a quiet place to camp for the night. We had a great stay. It is outside the city, but you can easily get into the Southern Hills Mall area of Sioux City. Jenice is doing amazing things with this property. She has a shower for campers and even a washer/dryer. There is a nice area for a family get-togethers, too.

EXTREMELY attentive, communicative, and kind hosts! Electric and water available. Basically, you'll back into one of the driveway spaces near thier garage to connect. The very unique silo swings, sitting area, fire pit, etc, are only steps from your door. The property is located just outside of town. Enough to provide the privacy and beauty of nature but close enough to get supplies within minutes. Unfortunately, the night I chose to book, the area experienced exceptionally high winds and I was unable to take advantage of the cool amenities provided. I barely slept due to my campervan rocking like I've never experienced before (obviously, no fault of the hosts). This was my very first stay using the Hipcamp app and oh boy, do I wish I'd have come across it sooner on my travels! I would highly recommend this spot, especially to families with small children, due to the reasonable rates and unique accommodations. Thank you!

I stayed at the Fence Post in October, after water was shut off for the winter. HOWEVER, when I made the reservation, the host was very quick to tell me this… so I was prepared! Kathy was great about giving instructions to get to the spot (make sure you don’t come in too close to the building!), and how to leave if backing up was a problem. The area behind me was very spacious so it was “easy” to back out and drive out! ( I say “easy,” because I’m new at travel trailering and backing up isn’t ever really easy for me - yet!!). I was very pleased with how level it was - from a picture I had seen, I didn’t expect that! Woo hoo! Lots of green space available to walk the dogs. This was a one-night stay - just passing through. I noted that others discussed traffic noise. It is true, it is not too far off the road BUT, I didn’t hear a thing (& I didn’t have tv or music on!!)! I am happy to recommend it to other hipcampers! A hidden gem! The sweetest couple welcomed us with open arms. We were the only guests, so we had our own private oasis. Full hookups, bathrooms, laundry, wifi, grill, and the cutest “grain-zebo”. They even assisted us in filling up a flat tire. Would highly recommended!

Kelly and Jenices’s land was beautiful and they were wonderful hosts! They were very accommodating and had everything we needed and more! We made use of the large yard to play frisbee with our dog and the silo gazebo to relax on a beautiful day!

We had an amazing stay here! The hosts are so kind and accommodating and great with communication. This is probably one of the best hipcamp experiences we have had, and we have stayed at several across the country. The property is plenty spacious, with all of the amenities you could need, including a unique gazebo area that was custom built by the owner. If we are ever in the area in the future, we would definitely stay here again. 10/ 10 recommend!
