Peaceful Prairie Campsites consists of 200+ acres of prairie pasture bordering the south side of Scotts Bluff National Monument. Under the care of third generation steward, Lisa Betz-Marquez, the beautiful bluffs feature a stunning backdrop to a those seeking a private and peaceful experience, birding, wildlife-spotting, or an adventure-seeking hike.
Rustic Tent sites (allowing cars, vans, rooftop tents, truck campers, and motorcycles, but not RVs or pull-behind trailers) are located directly on the prairie.
The prairie is a fragile environment. To preserve its beauty and health, trailers and RVs must book the RV sites. We appreciate your cooperation.
RV sites 50 amp electricity and a rustic experience on crushed concrete near our corral. You'll have foot access just steps from the prairie.
All sites share access to delicious potable water, a clean porta potty, and a funky outdoor camp shower (with unheated water), as well as private foot access to hiking at various levels of challenge to the south side of our nation's Scotts Bluff National Monument.
A small group of yearling cattle are at home on the prairie in summer months, and may share you the prairie tent area with campers in the months of May and June.
Prairie guests have relished the feeling of having the place to themselves to enjoy the majesty of the landscape, the magic of our starry night skies and the soulful communion with the land.
Lisa is the fourth generation of her family to live on Valley View Farm, located directly south of the prairie. Her family has been steward of these lands since 1925. We have a 5 acre suburban campsite that is quiet, yet close to amenities. Located in south Lincoln between Highway 2 and the city limit, near shopping, restaurants, and breweries. Our property has a small seasonal creek with a walking path next to it and through a forested area and meadow. Cottonwood Creek Camp has one RV site and one Tent site. This can be a peaceful place to stay for a quick stop, an extended stay or even during Husker game-day weekends. We are 6 minutes from Southpoint mall which offers a shuttle to Memorial Stadium. Super Target, Aldi's and many other grocery stores are only 5 minutes away. Disc golf and mini golf courses are 2 miles away. There is also access to the Lincoln bike trails via our residential streets. Laundry is available on site for an extra fee.

However, my journey into sustainable farming and floral cultivation began eight years ago, when my husband and I acquired our picturesque acreage.
Born and raised on a farm near Pauline, Nebraska, I found myself drawn back to my roots, eager to steward the land in a productive and regenerative manner. In 2020, after two years of dreaming, I embarked on the journey of Aunt Annie's Flower Farm.
My motivation to create this haven of blossoms was deeply personal. Having faced the challenges of infertility and the associated grief, I resolved to "create my own sunshine" by cultivating a sanctuary of beauty and life. Aunt Annie's Flower Farm serves as a place of solace and joy for my beloved nieces and nephews, and I extend the warmest invitation for you to share in this natural splendor.
My mission extends beyond personal fulfillment. I aspire to inspire my students, demonstrating that with dedication, ambition, and hard work, they too can transform their dreams into reality. It brings me great pride to witness one of my former students utilize our flower farm as their FFA Supervised Agriculture Experience, serving as our media specialist and, in turn, creating my logo.

This property is 110 acres all together. We have cattle that do visit the pastures but can be excluded if need be.
Nice rolling hills with Oak Savannas in the low areas. Lots of great native wildlife and plants that bloom from early spring through late summer. In the Fall the leaves are amazing.
There is a rough outhouse at the primitive campsite. No electricity but there is water and trash bins located at the farmstead. We do want our guests to be comfortable but this is definitely a rough camping site.
You may also want to grab a beef package from us for your stay or to take along with you. Many items available for sale right at the farm.

Meet our two Australian Shepherds, the true stewards of this land, who will greet you with boundless energy and joy. They are the swift guardians of the homestead, their only charge being the human companion they share their home with. I can assure you that my male dogs have been responsibly managed to prevent any unwanted breeding or aggressive behavior towards other dogs.
We request that our guests come prepared with their own sanitation solutions and take responsibility for the disposal of waste. For your convenience, Chautauqua Park in Beatrice, NE, which is only an 8-mile, 10-minute drive away, provides a dump station for such purposes.

This is a great option for campers with larger RV's and if you need to hook up to electrical. 120v 30A electrical service and water available on this site. You can turn around easily in the gravel drive. And you'll camp right near our cattle where you're welcome to take picture, scratch their heads, or give them a snack. Tours available too, just ask, we are happy to show you around!
This site is well lit and located near our home. We appreciate guests and welcome you to visit with us, we have children and they love to play with other kids. There is plenty of room for pets to roam and do their business.
This site is private but as a working farm you may see or hear us doing our daily routine of feeding the cows or moving equipment. We are mindful of your privacy and would never do anything to disturb our guests or ruin their stay unintentionally.
You will also have access to the entirety of our 110 acre farm to explore and enjoy nature and animals. We have a firepit and firewood available for you to enjoy a little outdoor relaxation around the fire. If you need anything else not listed we aim to please, just let us know.
If you want to purchase beef we stock many items right on the farm. Availability of different cuts of meat and snacks will vary. Our neighbors also produce milk and eggs which available for purchase too.

Being this close to a town, there are many activities and places to go. A few miles to the West of us is Cottonmill Park which has a good sized lake and hiking trails.

This property is 110 acres all together. We have cattle that do visit the pastures but can be excluded if need be.
Nice rolling hills with Oak Savannas in the low areas. Lots of great native wildlife and plants that bloom from early spring through late summer. In the Fall the leaves are amazing.
There is a rough outhouse at the primitive campsite. No electricity but there is water and trash bins located at the farmstead. We do want our guests to be comfortable but this is definitely a rough camping site.
You may also want to grab a beef package from us for your stay or to take along with you. Many items available for sale right at the farm.

Just 3 miles away, the Rockford State Recreation Area offers a boat ramp and is home to a charming lake. While it may not be the largest, it boasts a swimming beach and supports activities like jet skiing, tubing, and water skiing. An 11-mile journey will take you to the Homestead National Monument, an interesting site that I'll let you discover for yourself.
With a population of 12,223, the town caters to all modern necessities. You'll find Walmart, McDonald's, a dollar store, various sit-down restaurants, boutiques, antique shops, and a bowling alley. The historical downtown area, nestled along the Blue River, provides a picturesque backdrop. For a relaxing day, consider a kayak rental to drift along this lazy river. And for those who enjoy cycling or running, extensive recreational trails built over old railroad tracks connect the surrounding villages and townships, offering a scenic route for your outdoor activities. The town is home to a brewery and a couple of cozy small-town taverns, offering an inviting atmosphere for an evening out in the heart of the heartland."
Meet our two Australian Shepherds, the true stewards of this land, who will greet you with boundless energy and joy. They are the swift guardians of the homestead, their only charge being the human companion they share their home with. I can assure you that my male dogs have been responsibly managed to prevent any unwanted breeding or aggressive behavior towards other dogs.
We request that our guests come prepared with their own sanitation solutions and take responsibility for the disposal of waste. For your convenience, Chautauqua Park in Beatrice, NE, which is only an 8-mile, 10-minute drive away, provides a dump station for such purposes.

This is a great option for campers with larger RV's and if you need to hook up to electrical. 120v 30A electrical service and water available on this site. You can turn around easily in the gravel drive. And you'll camp right near our cattle where you're welcome to take picture, scratch their heads, or give them a snack. Tours available too, just ask, we are happy to show you around!
This site is well lit and located near our home. We appreciate guests and welcome you to visit with us, we have children and they love to play with other kids. There is plenty of room for pets to roam and do their business.
This site is private but as a working farm you may see or hear us doing our daily routine of feeding the cows or moving equipment. We are mindful of your privacy and would never do anything to disturb our guests or ruin their stay unintentionally.
You will also have access to the entirety of our 110 acre farm to explore and enjoy nature and animals. We have a firepit and firewood available for you to enjoy a little outdoor relaxation around the fire. If you need anything else not listed we aim to please, just let us know.
If you want to purchase beef we stock many items right on the farm. Availability of different cuts of meat and snacks will vary. Our neighbors also produce milk and eggs which available for purchase too.

We are located NW of Kearney in a rural setting. There are neighbors around us but not too close.
Being this close to a town, there are many activities and places to go. A few miles to the West of us is Cottonmill Park which has a good sized lake and hiking trails.
Within an hours drive there are fishing/boating and recreational lakes. The great Sandhills of Nebraska are just a little over an hour North to get to.
Pioneer Village is South about an hour and the Hastings museum is about the same distance only a little East and South.

Cuzn Eddyz is located just off the junction of Highway 2 and 92 at Merna, Nebraska in the heart of the sandhills. It is a quick 10 mile drive to Broken Bow that has several eating and bar establishments. It is also close to Anselmo, Arnold, Callaway and Sargent Nebraska.
We have 17 full hookup sites at our campground. Of these, 8 will be pull through and 9 will be back in. There will be unlimited places for primitive tent camping. If no tent sites show just call us directly and we will get you a tent spot.

Easy Access & Clear Communication
The hosts provided detailed instructions and amenities information before my arrival, which made everything seamless. The site was easy to locate - no wandering around in the dark trying to figure out where to park - and I was able to pull in smoothly for the night.
Comfortable Amenities
The indoor community space was a real highlight. It’s one thing to have a place to park and sleep, but having access to a welcoming indoor area made the experience feel more like a retreat than just a parking spot. It was clean, well-maintained, and had everything needed for a comfortable stay.

I messed up my reservation and we were arriving a night early. I called Luke, fortunately his number was on his Hipcamp page, and it wasn’t a problem. We were actually the only ones in the area, being the second week of November. We arrived in the dark and were able to figure out the site layout. My dogs loved being able to run around off leash for the first time in weeks and gave the site four paws up. Luke was driving down the road as we were leaving and rolled down his window to chat with us a bit. Overall an enjoyable experience!

We were just passing through but while I was there I went mountain biking across the street and that was a very different experience and I loved it! I’ve never mountain biked next to a bunch of cows before! Hilarious. Anyways it was kind of sprinkling and I was very thankful they had a hose to use! The WiFi helped too.

A beautiful pastoral setting. The property was easy to find, just follow Luke’s directions. The 30 amp service at the sites looked new. The port a potties were clean. Across the street were hiking and biking trails.
