Forest Meadow

1 site · RV12 acres · Victor, MT
Learn more about this land:Nestled close to the Bitterroot mountains above the Bitterroot valley and across from the Sapphire Mountains. Super quiet except for a year-round stream on the edge of the property. It's a rare spot and so private and on a clear night, the stars are stunning!"It's down our private road and at the bottom of a hilly meadow with ponderosa pines and next to an aspen grove. When the aspen leaves are out, they flutter in the wind like they are waving to you." The hill is covered in lush green native grasses from about mid to late April until about mid-August depending upon the year. In the early spring, the grasses are flattened from the snow and still have a beautiful charm. In the late summer and fall, they turn golden. Our neighbors are a good distance away and you will rarely see or hear other people excepting maybe us walking our dogs, and maybe the rare vehicle a good distance away. There are two awesome world-class scenic hikes nearby that I don't know why there aren't more people there: Fred Burr Creek Trail and Bear Creek Trail. The Redsun Labyrinth, a relaxing meditative walk, is close too. And this is Montana. So much nature here! When you look at the sky, you will find yourself saying, "Wow, that's a big sky!" It's not just a slogan, it's a reality, and one of the reasons this is our home, and why we are willing to share with people who appreciate the sky.

Glamping Adventure Awaits

2 sites · Lodging9 acres · Victor, MT
Drive down a dirt road, back into the mountains, until you arrive at Gash Creek Camp! Immerse yourself in the magic of Montana, while still being comfortable in our luxury tent! Wake up with the sun streaming through the windows and birds singing! Make yourself a cup of coffee with the french press and enjoy it on the deck before taking off into the mountains for the day! THIS LISTING IS FOR RENTAL OF BOTH TENTS Our family is building our camp slowly over time. We currently have 2 tents - The first featuring a queen bed, furnished with curated vintage items we have collected over the years. The second is a bunk tent sleeping 4 and reminiscent of camp with it's old school double bunks. Both tents feature a tiny woodstove to take the chill off in the spring and fall. Both tents have electric and a ceiling fan to keep it cooler in the summer. It's a short walk up the path to the newly remodeled bathhouse. There is a shower, toilet, washer and dryer in the bathroom section of the bathhouse. The kitchen section features a custom camp kitchen with a 2 burner stove top, mini fridge, coffee maker, toaster and open shelves. Everything you need to cook meals while camping! There is a large outdoor eating area with a picnic table, gas grill and a beautiful gas fire pit with lounge chairs, perfect for a glass of wine after the sun goes down. We are available by text and have someone nearby who can stop by if there is an emergency. While we do have neighbors around us, to access our property you must go through a locked gate. We have 9 acres of land and the mountain behind us is state forest land that anybody can explore! We're located less than an hour south of Missoula in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley. Just a note - our goal for this space is to eliminate distractions - we do not have wifi, however there is some service depending on your carrier. The woodstoves require chopping your own wood and keeping the fire going, but we think that's part of the fun!

God's Country Camping

2 sites · RVs, Tents12 acres · Lolo, MT
This property is so beautiful and peaceful no lights out here at night, just moonlight when it's out. Spring fed pond, Ponderosa pine trees, fallen white birch, rustic and gorgeous. Some of my camp spots are on rough terrain. I always suggest you get out and walk around to see what you can manage with your vehicle. The idea of my place is more wilderness camping, there is wildlife that comes around. RV camp spots on the east and west end of the pond. Camp spot out by the wooden round pen on the west side. Learn more about this land: Completely private, borders 2000 acres of a bird sanctuary. Two blocks from Bitterroot river canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swim, trails, hiking, scenery, wildlife. Spring fed pond on property for fishing, swimming and adventures. My pond is spring fed, which means that is goes up and down with the seasons and run off from the snow in the mountains. So as the summer goes on the pond levels go way down, please be aware of that.

We live on ten acres tucked in the pines at the foot of the Sapphire mountains with views west of the broad Bitterroot Valley and the stunning Bitterroot Mountains. Only a mile behind our house is a state wildlife management area and beyond that National Forest and then the Welcome Creek Wilderness. We have a greenhouse and garden on site but our major vegetable growing operation is down in the valley. Lots of wildlife travel through our lot, including a number of owls.
