Welcome to our “Peaceful Pinecone Grove” campground on a tranquil, secluded 3-acre homestead with myriad outdoor recreation activities nearby including: + Silverwood Theme Park and Farragut State Park, both a 5 minute drive + The quaint community of Bayview and beautiful Lake Pend Oreille, 10 minutes away + Coeur d’Alene and Sandpoint, both 30 minutes away + Super One Foods, ACE Hardware, an urgent care center and a gas station, along with Highway 95, just about a mile away This spacious, level, shaded back-in camp site provides all necessary hookups for your camper or trailer: electric, water and sewer. Wifi is provided as well. The space is most perfect for “van life” folks, designed by a host with her own glamping van that she keeps on the property. Having your own self-contained bathroom on board is preferred, but you are welcome to use our outhouse with a compost toilet and camping sink/water that will be cleaned and replenished every day. You’re welcome to pitch a tent or use the hammocks under the trees. There is a walking path through the woods, an outdoor clawfoot bathtub for cold plunges, and a trampoline. We’ll provide a couple of lounge chairs and a side table as well. On the homestead we grow a large selection of vegetables, fruit and flowers for the local farmers market. We also have a rooster and chickens that provide fresh eggs, and 2 VERY adorable tabby kitties that you’ll see roam the premises. You are welcome to visit the garden and stroll around, but please keep the garden gates shut for deer protection. You might enjoy a relaxing break on the bench in the herbal garden. For your culinary needs, please inquire about our commercial kitchen that is attached to the garage - it offers a 3-tier-sink, big fridge, freezer, toaster, water kettle, coffee maker, coffee thermos and various dishes and utensils. Homemade breakfast can be available upon request (coffee/tea, homemade German style bread or pretzels, jam, farm fresh eggs, freshly squeezed juices). Hiking and biking, stargazing, kite flying, cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Ski/snowboard at Schweitzer only 45 min drive to the mountain. Boat launch 2 miles away. A couple of mooring balls available, ask on availability. Shallow, soft, clay bottom. Two sandy beaches shared with Hipcampers and family. We have 4 kids. The beach with the dock between site 1 and 2 is also used by our family as well. Our place is a relaxed atmosphere and we enjoy meeting new campers visiting us. Traveling this gorgeous country extensively since she was 12 years old, Charlie fell in love with the west and North Idaho. Finally, in 2016 she purchased this little slice of paradise in the remote Far North Idaho wilderness where she turned an old hunting property into an Offgrid Homestead. While many places have been stripped of trees only to be replanted by all the same species, this place was sustainably and privately logged and much of the natural tree diversity exists. Not many places can you find many different firs, pines, larch, cedar, alders, and birch all in one place. Perched at the edge of wilderness areas, national forests, and timberlands but just off a main road, you find yourself transported into the wild in a short drive! The property is frequented daily by all types of wildlife and is hugged by TWO mountain ranges. The homestead is managed in a permaculture design with back-to-Eden and HuglekulUtr gardens to have minimal impact on the land. Learn more about this land: Easy access just 1/2 mile off main paved road with views of BOTH the Purcell and Cabinet Mountain Ranges. Our little slice of paradise is a great stop on your way to/from Glacier National Park (100 mi) or to come enjoy all that North Idaho and Western Montana has to offer. We are just a few miles from the Montana border and you can walk from your campsite to Kaniksu National Forest. We're just a 15 minute drive to Bonners Ferry where you can enjoy the Kootenai National Wildlife Refuge, Snow Creek Falls, rent kayaks and venture on the Kootenai River, visit the Boundary County Museum, an Antique Mall on the way to town is always full of treasures, play at Kootenai Casino, visit wineries and breweries, many great local restaurants boasting great cuisine with small town charm including an AMAZING farmers market every Saturday May - September and great downtown shopping. Or if you are up for a scenic drive you can venture to visit the Yaak Falls, Kootenai Falls, Ross Creek Cedars, Baldy Lookout, Schweitzer Ski Resort, and much more. Here at our little offgrid homestead you have choice of tent camping in the forest or tent/van/car/rv camping in our field next to the Larch grove and Timberland property. With the river close by eagles are frequently soaring overhead. Turkey, deer, and elk are passing through daily. And there is no neighbors to be seen except our small chicken flock and you may be greeted by Buddy the Dog! Although if you are not a dog person feel free to let us know and we will accommodate you! If you have any questions about local activities, we'll happily provide you with great ideas and directions. Known for beautiful and expansive natural views, our property is nestled at the feet of the mountains to the north, Pond Oreille River Valley to the south. Our farm is a year-round operation. Parking areas for RV are down in the pasture and up by the main house. We currently only have a single 30amp outlet available up at the main residence. It is about a 40' distance from the parking spot in this location. It is our intention to add more access to power in the near future. We require that all guest check in with us prior and upon arrival. We also require that they communicate their departure.

We loved staying at this HipCamp. It was one of the best locations we have stayed. Literally feet away from the Pend Oreille River, the views were amazing. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We had to change our plans and they worked with HipCamp to get two nights refunded even though it was outside their cancellation policy. We would definitely stay here again.

Stewart and Shawna's waterfront camp was AMAZING! We had a wonderful time. The water was perfect for kids of all ages. We had a large group and they were so kind and accommodating and it made for a great family camp out. It was great to be able to bring our dogs with us as well and have them off leash to run around and swim with us. They had some super fun water toys by the dock that everyone loved to play on. We will definitely return if we are in the area again.

We loved camping the past five nights on the water! Stewart and Shawna were extremely accommodating and communicative. We had reached out very early in the spring and they allowed us to drive out to check out the space before hand to assure we would fit comfortably. I had booked sites 2&3; we brought a 33 foot travel trailer, and my mother brought a 40foot 5th wheel. The two sites together were mowed down and fit us very comfortably. Our teenagers even pitched a couple tents on site. We also brought a 23ft tritoon boat that was kept at the dock. The boat launch was only a five minute drive away and we kept our car and boat trailer at camp as well with no extra charge. This spot was so perfect spot for our family! The kids loved the beach, they used the lily pad and kayaks daily. My toddler really loved the shallow water near the beach. The property/land was quiet, relaxing and very peaceful at these sites. We boated to Sandpoint on the 4th for the firework show - that was about a 30-45min adventure each way. The only advice for future campers is to bring lots of bug spray and citronella candles. The mosquitoes are thick (expected since you are literally right on the water). Thank you for a great (long) weekend Stewart & Shawna!!

Quiet little place just a few minutes off the highway. Very kind owner- gave us a few local hiking recos. Free range chickens will keep you entertained. Great for stargazing. Rooster will make sure you get an early start to your day. About 20 min from Bonners Ferry where there are services.

What a perfect stay! Charlie's site is lovely! I saw wild turkeys and deer as I walked around the property. She is so kind and generous. The compost toilet is just what you need for a rustic, simple camp experience. I bought some fresh eggs from her too! Thank you!
