We are approx. 34 miles from YNP and less than 10 minutes to the nearest Yellowstone River access. As the name implies, our campsite provides a convenient "basecamp" for exploring YNP or experiencing the Yellowstone River through Fly Fishing or water sports such as kayaking, white-water rafting, canoeing and or SUP. Our campsite provides the perfect retreat after hiking and experiencing Yellowstone. After spending the day doing whatever you please in Paradise Valley or the surrounding areas, come back to your campsite and relax in the hot tub and prepare dinner on the BBQ & amp; Star Gaze. In Emigrant, there is a bank and a post office as well as a bakery and a BBQ restaurant and The Old Saloon. Additionally, there is a small gas station, laundromat and a general store. We offer 20Amp electrical-hook up.  We do offer water hook up through a hose. The nearest dump station is 1/2 hour in either direction (Gardiner or Livingston). Their property is not only absolutely beautiful with lots of cute and friendly animals roaming around but also conveniently located next to Yellowstone National Park and the nearby town. Beautiful location, friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic sunset views, remote enough to see the starry night sky (we happened to be there during the Perseid meteor shower, it was AWESOME!) Also just a few short miles from Earthquake Lake, a must see destination for those who appreciate geologic events and history.

I really enjoyed my stay in the Gnome Home. Sheila was great! I loved feeding the goats and chickens. Directions were clear and easy to follow. The porta-potty was clean and well stocked. If I find myself in the area I'd likely stop again.

Sheila’s “Gnome Home” was perfect for my glamping needs. It’s a convenient base camp into Yellowstone. The cabin was comfortable, the chickens, goats, horses, and Shetland Ponies were fun, and Sheila’s breakfast + conversations were just what my souls needed. I’d highly recommend the Gnome Home!
