The Mission Mountain wilderness is a 30-40 minute drive. In winter, the area is ideal for cross-country skiing (trails behind the property), snowmobiling, and snowshoeing.

I am one mile from Hwy 93 so you can hear traffic noise sometimes. Planes do fly over once in awhile as well. This is a dry camp and rustic camping, sites are fairly far apart.
This property is so beautiful and peaceful out here at night. Seasonal Spring fed pond, Ponderosa pine trees, fallen white birch, rustic and gorgeous. Some of my camp spots are on rough terrain. I always suggest you get out and walk around to see what you can manage with your vehicle.
The idea of my place is more wilderness camping, there is wildlife that come through.
RV camp spots on the east and west end of the pond. Camp spot out by the wooden round pen on the west side.
Completely private, borders 2000 acres of a bird sanctuary. Two blocks from Bitterroot river canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swim, trails, hiking, scenery, wildlife.
My pond is spring fed, which means that is goes up and down with the seasons and run off from the snow in the mountains and collects cotton from the trees when they shed. As the summer goes by the pond levels go way down, please be aware of that.

The town of Polson is 20 minutes away. You can find everything you need from supplies, to bars, restaurants, boat rentals, public parks, and even a casino.
The town of Big Fork is only 45 minutes away and is a must-see. This town has an old-west feel with great shops, restaurants, a live theater, and an old iron bridge over the river.
Glacier National Park is an hour and twenty minutes away.
The driveway up to the orchard is made of gravel and is a bit steep at the beginning, At times there can be a few ruts so be cautious. Most standard passenger cars can make it up the driveway with no problem. Due to campers having trouble navigating the driveway with trailers we no longer allow trailers or RV's over 22 feet. Lowered vehicles are not recommended.

Fire pit onsite (but be aware there may be fire prohibitions during your stay). The river runs very low beginning in July and is plentiful in the spring.
The location says Ovando, however, this site is one mile west of Clearwater Junction. Between Paws Up and the big cow at Clearwater Junction.

Some things to note: this is a working ranch, meaning there are cows and family members tending to the animals (not in the yurt’s private area, but surrounding it); in the winter, the concrete pad the yurt stands on can be slippery, so please be aware and utilize the provided ice melt in the bucket by the side door when needed. In spring, the ranch can quite muddy; please keep vehicles on the rock driveway only. Boot trays are provided by both doors.

I am one mile from Hwy 93 so you can hear traffic noise sometimes. Planes do fly over once in awhile as well. This is a dry camp and rustic camping, sites are fairly far apart.
This property is so beautiful and peaceful out here at night. Seasonal Spring fed pond, Ponderosa pine trees, fallen white birch, rustic and gorgeous. Some of my camp spots are on rough terrain. I always suggest you get out and walk around to see what you can manage with your vehicle.
The idea of my place is more wilderness camping, there is wildlife that come through.

Completely private, borders 2000 acres of a bird sanctuary. Two blocks from Bitterroot river canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swim, trails, hiking, scenery, wildlife.
My pond is spring fed, which means that is goes up and down with the seasons and run off from the snow in the mountains and collects cotton from the trees when they shed. As the summer goes by the pond levels go way down, please be aware of that.

This 20-acre farm is nestled in the forest on Finley Point on Flathead Lake. It gives you a wide-open and cradled feeling at the same time. There is a view of the lake and mountains from almost all the camp spots.
There are deer and turkeys that continuously roam the orchard. Enjoy the Big Montana Sky at night with an amazing view of the stars.
You can pick your own fresh organic cherries for only $2 a pound. You can also just snack on some from your campsite. Cherry season this year will be from July 18th to Aug 5th.

Access to Flathead Lake is less than a 1/2 mile down the driveway.
Flathead Lake (Finley Point) State Park is only 2 miles away.
At the entrance to Finley Point, we have two great Restaurants, Finley Point Grill and the Smokehouse (Highly Recommended!).
The town of Polson is 20 minutes away. You can find everything you need from supplies, to bars, restaurants, boat rentals, public parks, and even a casino.
The town of Big Fork is only 45 minutes away and is a must-see. This town has an old-west feel with great shops, restaurants, a live theater, and an old iron bridge over the river.
Glacier National Park is an hour and twenty minutes away.
The driveway up to the orchard is made of gravel and is a bit steep at the beginning, At times there can be a few ruts so be cautious. Most standard passenger cars can make it up the driveway with no problem. Due to campers having trouble navigating the driveway with trailers we no longer allow trailers or RV's over 22 feet. Lowered vehicles are not recommended.

Wake up next to the Clearwater River just steps from your campsite. Watch eagles soar overhead, sandhill cranes fly into a nearby field, and gaze at the layers and layers of stars at night.
Clearwater Camp provides private access to 13 acres near Clearwater Junction. Use Clearwater Camp as a home base as you explore all the lakes near Seeley Lake, many nearby access sites on the Blackfoot River, or pop into nearby Missoula for your city needs. Or simply hang out and enjoy the site.
You can park your van or RV on a gravel area or pitch your tent anywhere on the property. There is also a tipi with 2 cots located on the site that is available for you to stay in.
There is a locked A-Frame camper that is parked there full time, but nobody will stay there during your visit. Port-a-potty onsite (cleaned weekly). Picnic table onsite. Fire pit onsite (but be aware there may be fire prohibitions during your stay). The river runs very low beginning in July and is plentiful in the spring.
The location says Ovando, however, this site is one mile west of Clearwater Junction. Between Paws Up and the big cow at Clearwater Junction.

Safely leave your camp in the shade, under tall pine trees. Enjoy horses grazing nearby and explore Greenough, the last best place. The best swimming hole on the Clearwater River is located less than a mile away. World class fishing and floating on multiple rivers including the Big Blackfoot are nearby. Salmon Lake and Seeley Lake have limited campsites but are located just 10 to 20 miles away from this spot for fabulous fishing and boating adventures. The Clearwater Game Range is 2 miles away for hiking, biking and wildlife viewing. I almost forgot to mention the well preserved and nearby ghost towns of Garnet and Coloma. This truly is, the last best campsite in the last best place. Large family reunions and gatherings welcome! I will open as many camp sites as you need.

Space is level and quiet. Plenty of space to set up solar panels and do dog training. Space is far enough away from structures that quiet generators can't be heard at all by neighbors. Also managed neighborhood dog walks without issue. Drivers were slow and courteous to pedestrians.
Was quickly greeted by two curious cats and enjoyed watching a couple young deer play in the grass just 20 feet from my trailer.
Would stay again.

Great stop over spot right off the interstate. We rolled in after dark and still found it without issue. Taller vehicles be aware there are some low hanging branches but they are pretty bendy so I pushed through just fine. The entrance to field number 1 was pretty tight for our travel trailer. The car parked next to the garage meant I had to take it slow and watch my mirrors. But for the price, totally worth it.

This is a lovely spot. There is easy access from Hwy 200, a nice big turnaround if you are pulling a camper, and a trail that leads down to the water for some relaxing time watching the water go by. If you have pets, there is a barbed wire fence that helpfully separates the land from the road. We'll definitely go back.

Listen to those reviews because they are RIGHT! Booked a month ahead as we are on a long roadtrip. This place did not disappoint one bit and Dolly was an absolute gem!
Maybe the porta potty is a complaint in other reviews but it’s super well maintained and clean. This is NOT a bougie campground. It is real camping.
Hope to make it back again soon and excited to see the additions Dolly wants to make!

This was a great spot for when you need a safe spot to park while going out in Missoula. I felt comfortable leaving my campervan here while going to a concert. It was quiet too. It isn’t exactly a Hipcamp experience, you are parked basically just in the driveway right next to the house. But it was perfect for what I needed, as my plans were more about having somewhere within the city to stay.
