5 nights at Robinson’s Roost

Amazing! Pam is amazing and so nice and welcoming. Only 20min away from West Glacier entrance. She accommodated our large family and was very responsive via message. Anything that came up, she was right there. Very peaceful. I enjoyed it here WAY more than crowded campgrounds in the park. Very convenient location. Grocery stores and laundry 10min away. #2 is the best site! Biggest and has the best view.

The location was beautiful, a nice large place soft but frequently mowed grass which is the perfect place to pitch a tent and be comfortable. We hung up a line to dry some clothes off in the woods while we went to explore Glacier Park and when we returned, they had mowed a path to where we had hung the line which was incredibly thoughtful. We will absolutely be recommending this spot to people we know traveling through here and would happily stay again.

We stayed for four nights and, even though we changed spots a few times due to our last-minute booking, each site was perfect in its own way. Our kids had an absolute blast—between the kayaks, the zip line, and playing with your sweet kiddos, they were constantly smiling. We also loved connecting with other campers; the friendly and laid-back vibe made it easy to strike up great conversations. This was our first trip to Glacier, and your hospitality helped make it one we’ll always remember. We’re already dreaming of coming back—hopefully as a yearly tradition! We tent camped after driving for about 12 hours. Arrived late at night. Jake and Jaime were very friendly and helpful. The restrooms were very clean even though it was a pit toilet. The fire pit area and picnic table were in a good location that allowed cars to park and for our group to set up tents. Would definitely recommend staying here. Though you can hear the train in the distance we didn't hear it once we fell asleep. Perhaps we were too tired but it didn't wake me up and I'm a light sleeper.

The common area had everything you could ever need: bath towels, coffee and cream, a fridge, hot sauce!! Everything was amazingly clean. I loved it.

We stayed at Camp Staci for 4 nights in June. It was absolutely beautiful. The land was open and peaceful with stunning meadows overlooking Flathead Lake—truly picturesque. We saw plenty of deer and cattle nearby, which added to the charm. We biked down to the lake, spent time at the nearby state park (which was fantastic), and even rented a boat for a day on the water—definitely a highlight. Coming back to our quiet, secluded site after a full day of adventure was the perfect way to end each day. Highly recommend for anyone who loves nature, space, and serenity. These are the green pastures and quiet waters that restore your soul!

3 nights at The Mooseshroom

Terri had everything we needed! Our yurt had electricity and a sky light for the stars! We flew into Montana and she provided everything we could need. Towels, spices, ziploc bags, etc. It was also only 5 minutes away from the park which was perfect. Teri was also extremely helpful and welcoming! If I make it back to Montana from the east coast, we will stay with her again!

Come enjoy peace and quiet in the beautiful meadows near our home. We are located on 40 acres that include forested trails, a large pond, two small ponds, a creek, and frequent wildlife as well as spectacular stargazing at night. All sites have a campfire ring and picnic table. We provide a unique eco-camping experience in contrast to the crowded campground/RV park, and we are only 6 miles away from the entrance to Glacier National Park! Please let us know if you have multiple tents or vehicles as some sites may be a better choice for you than others. No hookups are provided – dry camping only. Parking for larger vehicles/trailers is available at sites 1-6 - an open, flat meadow with the pond on the other side of the road. Tents are welcome in all sites; although, we recommend the back meadow sites (7 and up) for more secluded tent campers (especially in July) as it has less traffic and more privacy. Sites 7-20 (the back meadow sites) have parking for vehicles 26' or less in total length. All sites have access to vault toilets, and all sites are back-in sites with partial shade. Because of the proximity to Glacier National Park and the main HWY, traffic noise and train noise can be heard at the campsites. Visitors are ask to keep their speed to a minimum to reduce dust on the dirt on Greens Road. We are just a short bike ride away (two minutes by car) from attractions such as the Whiskey Barn, The Paul Bunyan Bar & grill, Glacier Hi-Line Ropes Course, and the Amazing Fun Center, maze, and mini golf. It is also easy access to the Gateway to Glacier Bike path. E-bike rentals are across the street from us. Closest Gas station is the Cenex in Coram (1.5 mi away). Closest public (free) landfill dump is 2.2 miles toward Columbia Falls at 9626 Us HWY 2 E. Near Paul Bunyan Bar and Grill (which is also a good restaurant near us). Look for the gated entry and small sign marking Flathead Landfill. Closest grocery is in Hungry Horse at Canyon Foods Grocery (3.5 miles away). There is a laundromat next to this grocery store. Closest dump and water fill up for a vehicle with a holding tank is Mikes Conoco at 1645 9th st W in Columbia Falls (8.9 mi away). Closest town with wifi, cafes, restaurants, urgent care and larger grocery stores is Columbia Falls (9 miles away). The Mooseshroom is an awesome camping community that is just 7 miles from the west side of Glacier National Park. Community fire pits near the Commons are a short walk from whichever tent spot guests are assigned. The Commons also houses the bathrooms and inside/outside kitchen areas. There is plenty of seating, hammocks and picnic tables for guests to use as well. We also have two yurts available for booking on our property. The Mooseshroom is a licensed business that is limited to hosting 18 guests per night. Guests should expect a quiet, peaceful camping experience with plenty of room to enjoy their surroundings. ***This property is adjacent Highway 2 and there is a fair amount of road noise. There's also a train that's fairly close. The noise kinda comes with the territory, guests are also 10 minutes from the west entrance to the park. The noise does tend to subside considerably at night, but for those bothered by this type of noise, you might consider an alternate location. Most guests are truly fine with it.

Relax at the rear of the site at the picnic table tucked in with nature. Set up your lawn chairs on the small hill in the rear for a perched view of the site amongst the trees. Across the street is a small mini farm owned by a relative. She has goats, chickens, ducks, among other animals that can be seen from the street. This site is in a neighborhood, so expect to hear some occasional neighborhood activity. If you are sensitive to noise when sleeping, you may want to consider earplugs. Hungry Horse Dam is 4.5 miles away, with construction first starting in 1948 and completed in 1953. At the time of completion, it was the second-highest and third-largest concrete dam in the world. Annually, it generates about a billion kilowatt-hours of power from the water passing through. Hungry Horse is an unincorporated community and has a population of 634. The Flathead Valley is known for its recreational activities including hiking, fishing, camping, biking, water sports, and observing local wildlife. Flathead Lake is also a popular recreational area 30 miles away and the largest natural fresh water lake in the West.

Most RV sizes should fit some leveling may be required . There is internet, electric and water available but unfortunately no sewer (there are dump stations in the area). Stay for a night as you are passing through or a couple weeks to check off all your desired outdoor activities! Sorry no tents, I do not have the facilities nor locations for tents to be able to set up - Roof top tents are acceptable, keeping in mind I have no bathroom or shower facilities. The area you are in is very safe and full of deer, with the occasional Mountain lion or bear wandering through, so please be mindful of your garbage! The owner (SJ) lives on site in a house next to the RV site and is usually available for questions or concerns. She comes and goes through out the day don't be afraid to wave her down if you need something.
