2 nights at Mission Falls Ranch

My husband and I were warmly welcomed by Geof when we arrived. We camped by the river, which lulled us to sleep every night. The bed was comfy and large. I get cold easily and was concerned that the A frame would be too cold in the middle of the night. My husband and I slept like a baby and I was not cold at all. The outhouse was near by. I learned that pouring bark in the toilet will keep the odor down. There was a converted a small trailer into the cutest shower and dressing area. Only had an issue with controlling the hot and cold water but all else was great. Their dogs are well behaved, love to play catch. One pup in particular was clearly playing hide and seek. He would bring the ball or stick and then run to hide behind a near by bench and would peer through the slats until I threw the ball or stick. He would appear and go after it and do the same. None of the dogs jumped on us or were pushy about playing. It was devastating to hear that a guest ran over and killed one of these precious members of the family. Please be careful when you drive onto the property. Pets are part of a family and are loved just as well. Please be cautious.

1 night at Primrose Meadows

We decided to stay around Missoula last minute so we booked pretty much right before we showed up. The space was just beautiful and we got a site with an amazing view of the sunset. The sites were so well spaced that even though we had next door neighbors it still felt very private. Erin was tooling around the property on her bicycle with trailer making sure everyone had what they needed. Overall couldn’t ask for a better experience.

Weekend Trip to Paradise at Riverbend

Absolutely loved our stay at Paradise Campsite! The location is truly stunning—right on the river with easy access for swimming and fishing. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches: cleanest porta potty I’ve ever used, bins to keep things tidy, and a sturdy picnic table that made meals so easy. We had a great time around the fire pit in the evenings, and the wifi was such a bonus for checking in with family back home. The awning came in handy when a little rain rolled in, letting us keep the fire going and stay dry. Kathryn was so welcoming and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful, well-maintained spot with amazing river access. We’ll definitely be back!

Camping at Erin’s ranch was great! I needed somewhere to stay and booked fairly last minute but the instructions Erin sent were very helpful and easy to follow. I also arrived pretty late at night but it was still easy to find a spot and settle in (just camped in my car). As a solo female camper, it felt super safe. I also appreciated how secluded it felt while still being close to the road when I had to get back on in the morning. The morning views of the mountains made it the perfect way to wake up. The bathroom is your basic vault toilet but nice and clean! I just wish I’d been able to stay long enough to explore more and make use of the fire pit and picnic bench included at the site! Overall a 10/10 stay I’d recommend.

Erin was gracious and responsive in communication, as we had to adjust to late arrival (and then not coming at all!). Unfortunately (due to threatening thunderstorm combined with a friend's last-minute invite for us to crash at their place) we did not end up tenting at this property (though we had originally been looking forward to a campfire and testing ourselves out with the rustic/basic setting).

This was a great spot. The train didn't bother us at all. Plenty of room in between camp sites. We had eggs and chorizo delivered to our site, it was a nice touch. Some great views, although you can see some nearby houses but that didn't make a difference to us.

1 night at Last Best Place

Wonderful area that suited our needs perfectly. Mary Ann was very pleasant to interact with and was very accommodating. It’s very close to the highway but if you’re alright with that I would definitely recommend. There were hardly any bugs to deal with. There’s a swimming hole in the river 3 minutes up the road and salmon lake is only 11 minutes away.

7 nights at Rainbow Gulch Farm

The sheep pasture is peaceful. The neighbors were pleasant and being asked to help with the shearing of the sheep was an unexpected pleasure. There's plenty to do in the area and the local services are excellent too.

4 nights at Primrose Meadows

I enjoyed the solitude and beautiful view. The sunsets were amazing!

Booked this campsite last minute after finding out other state park campsites were full and I am so glad we found this place!!! It’s such a hidden gem- outstanding views overlooking old railway bridge over the clark fork, and a walking bridge as well woth great views! The sandy beach is a short little walk (5 mins seriously) and the views were stunning, seriously. The little beach was perfect, it offered privacy, great place to relax & swim, plus it was fun to watch all the rafters/kayakers! Plenty of space it explore the woods & river. You do hear some highway noise, but it was tolerable and didn’t disrupt sleep or activities. You also hear the train, but I enjoyed it! Although it says no campfires, we messaged the host for permission and we were able to start one which was awesome too, the hosts were very kind and quick to respond. Super cool little spot and I’d totally recommend and come back!

This place had beautiful views all around. You camp near the house but it’s quiet and relaxing and Shawana is very nice and helpful

I had a nice experience camping here. I briefly met the son that lives there, and got good vibes from him and his family. Lots of space to yourself, and a great view of some mountains. It also right off of the road, so it was easy to hop back on track in the morning. They also offered free water, which was great quality.

A small family farm working toward sustainability. Easy to access from I-90, drive in camping for a stop overnight or a home base while you explore the many attractions nearby. Learn more about this land: We are 20 miles east of Missoula, MT near the Kettlehouse Ampitheater in Bonner. Our location is halfway between Yellowstone and Glacier National Park. There are mountain bike paths, river access points for paddling, rafting or fishing within minutes of our land. We can even help you know where to go. Our land is surrounded by Nature Conservancy land with a public recreation easement, so you can hike and take your horse for a ride very easily, just let us know and we will point you in the right direction. Our child had a significant medical emergency that required a lot of travel to Seattle Children's and 4 brain surgeries recently, so we are just getting the garden back up and running and the sheep are happy. Unfortunately no chickens this year. In a vehicle, you can pull into one of our pastures for your stay. Where you are depends on which field the sheep are eating! Tents also work in the field. We do not have any hookups, but there is potable water in the blue hydrant by the yellow tube. The fields are that - pasture fields. There are quiet neighbors across the fence who now have goats on one side. We are happy to offer advice about local attractions via messaging. This is pack it in, pack it out.

Triple Bridges Campground

Mission Mountain Field of Dreams - A captivating view of the stunning Mission Mountains on two acres of fenced, flat, mowed pasture, less than .2 miles off Highway 93. No long, dusty gravel roads to travel to access this convenient campsite! We are just 91 miles south of Glacier National Park, making this a perfect over night spot to rest and regroup for whatever adventures lie ahead. You will experience some traffic noise due to the close proximity to the highway, however, later evening and early morning hours are fairly quiet. This open spacious area offers free choice parking with unobstructed views of the mountains. Shade is unavailable, though evenings in Montana cool down quite nicely. Post Creek, located just down the hill to the east, is home to a variety of wild life such as, White-tailed deer, EIK, Coyotes, Grizzly Bears, Bald Eagles, Hawks, Canadian Geese, Pheasants and Blue Heron to name a few! This 13 acre private property is situated on the Flathead Indian Reservation of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes. The area surrounding Post Creek is Tribal Conservation land and serves as a corridor for wildlife crossing over to the Ninepipes Wildlife Refuge (3 miles north and west of the camp site). Tribal permits are required for fishing and recreating on the reservation. We are approximately 48 miles north of Missoula and 70 miles south of Kalispell. This would serve as a nice base camp if you wish to explore the numerous attractions nearby. The Saint Ignatius Mission, National Bison range, McDonald Lake, Ninepipes Wildlife Refuge, and Flathead Lake (21 miles north) are all within a short drive from the camp site. There are numerous little towns nearby that offer their own unique shops, restaurants craft breweries, music, entertainment, golf, and museums. Museums of early Montana is just 3 miles north right next to the Ninepipe Lodge, restaurant, bar, espresso and gift shop. Address and directions will be supplied upon booking the website. The Holmestead is a rustic dry cabin on 5 acres nestled between Mill Creek and a seasonal run off stream with easy access to the highway and only a 10 min drive to Missoula. A queen bed, futon and air mattress are available for sleeping! Family and pet friendly property with plenty of space to pitch a tent next to the cabin if you have more guests in your party (tents will be an additional fee, $10 per person in addition to the 4 person cabin max). Excellent cell service if you have Verizon or carriers that pull from those towers. Attractions: Walking distance to forestry service roads. 15 minutes to the Missoula Airport and an additional 10 minutes to the heart of Missoula and all it has to offer. If you are looking for more adventure there is always an endless amount of recreation near, whether you want to drive 5 minutes to mountain bike or 3 hours to Glacier National Park, there is something for everyone! If you have questions about fun things to do please reach out to us! Parking: Reserved parking for guests in the main driveway or in the clearing near the cabin. Water: Portable toilet onsite, sealson warm shower and sink also available, we recently upgraded to a JOOLCA hot water system so guests can have running water and a warm outdoor shower. We provide 5 gal of potable water in the colder months and have running water nearby for easy refill of water containers if needed in the warmer months. We do have 2 very frienly dogs that roam the property freely, if you pet is reactive please let us know so we can monitor our dogs when letting them outside to do their business. Bitterroot Panorama

See the extras section for details.** Resting in the foothills of the sapphire mountains, just outside the town of Stevensville Montana, this beautiful 20 acre property is conveniently located halfway between Hamilton and Missoula; it is also a good midway point between Yellowstone and Glacier national parks. The outdoor activities are endless. Biking, hiking, fishing, swimming, hunting, trail riding, snow skiing and more are all within reach. Deer, turkey, osprey, killdeer, nighthawks, and eagles frequent the property as well as the occasional elk herd; and the Lee Metcalf wildlife refuge is about 15 minutes away. The property sits about 400’ above the valley floor; giving spectacular panoramic views of the bitterroot valley and mountains, as well as incredible sunsets. The paved road ends about 1 mile before the property, the remaining mile is a gravel road. There is also a one lane bridge right before you get to the property. Firewood is available for use at no charge. Sewer hookup has not been run to the site yet but if you have a portable tank, or want to pull the camper over to the house, it can be dumped as needed beside the garage; just ask and I can show you where the pipe is. There is a nema 14-50 hookup providing 50 amp power at the site; if needed I do have a 50 to 30 amp adapter you can borrow during your stay. Water hookup is also available at the site, but may be limited in freezing weather. If temperatures are to cold we can turn on the water to fill your tank as needed and then blow the line back out. If you need to borrow a potable water hose let me know as i keep those in the garage unless needed. There is a non-potable water hose that is available at the site, with a spray nozzle, incase you need to rinse or wash off gear, vehicles, etc. SpaceX Starlink high speed internet is available via WiFi. You can also charge your electric vehicle, if needed, with the power at the campsite or I have another nema 14-50 plug available at the garage of the main house. Be sure to let me know if you will need the plug at the garage so I can make sure it is accessible. If you have other questions feel free to contact me and I will do my best to answer them. ****The first 10 photos were posted by me and are taken from the actual hipcamp spot. Last Best Place

The best swimming hole on the Clearwater River is located less than a mile away. World class fishing and floating on multiple rivers including the Big Blackfoot are nearby. Salmon Lake and Seeley Lake have limited campsites but are located just 10 to 20 miles away from this spot for fabulous fishing and boating adventures. The Clearwater Game Range is 2 miles away for hiking, biking and wildlife viewing. I almost forgot to mention the well preserved and nearby ghost towns of Garnet and Coloma. This truly is, the last best campsite in the last best place. Large family reunions and gatherings welcome! I will open as many camp sites as you need.

Two acres of grass, creek and historic log cabins. The two RV spots at the back of the property are on very firm gravel road base that can handle heavy rigs. 50amp and fantastic potable water at each spot. Both 1 and 2 are less than ten feet from Seely creek which will lul you to sleep at night. Our property borders national forest and is loaded with deer, beaver, otters and birds. A bike path leads from the front of the property into the town of Seeley Lake. The ice cream shop, BBQ and pizza are all an easy walk or ride down the path. Mt Bike trails are half a mile above the property on national forest property. The Bob Marshall wilderness is right out our back door.
