The Mooseshroom is an awesome camping community that is just 7 miles from the west side of Glacier National Park. Community fire pits near the Commons are a short walk from whichever tent spot guests are assigned. The Commons also houses the bathrooms and inside/outside kitchen areas. There is plenty of seating, hammocks and picnic tables for guests to use as well. We also have two yurts available for booking on our property.
The Mooseshroom is a licensed business that is limited to hosting 18 guests per night. Guests should expect a quiet, peaceful camping experience with plenty of room to enjoy their surroundings.
***This property is adjacent Highway 2 and there is a fair amount of road noise. There's also a train that's fairly close. The noise kinda comes with the territory, guests are also 10 minutes from the west entrance to the park. The noise does tend to subside considerably at night, but for those bothered by this type of noise, you might consider an alternate location. Most guests are truly fine with it.

Primitive camping with no water or trash service, pack in / pack out. There is a portable toilet. Note, work has begun on the nearby highway bridge.
Located in the Alberton Gorge on the Clark Fork River, this is a premier location for the whitewater enthusiast. Take advantage of the class II, III rapids in your kayak or raft, or even surf. Alternatively, enjoy the relaxing Sandy Beach just a few minutes walk from the campground to swim and gaze at the beautiful argilite cliffs. The campground is near both the Interstate and a railroad so there is some ambient noise.
Note: we have cameras on the surf shack (container) that can see the entrance and the portable toilet area. We're happy to share the images with anyone concerned.

Drive-in, park, and begin enjoying all the crazy, fun, or just relaxing things you want out of your private lakefront property. You're on the shores of Flathead Lake, the largest freshwater lake, this side of the Mississippi, and home of Wildhorse Island, where the Boone and Crocket world record Bighorn Sheep was discovered, killed by winter weather.
This 2160 acre island is also the home of deer, mountain lions, bears, several species of eagles, and wild horses. Day hiking is allowed and is a 5-minute boat ride from your beach spot. Just slightly over an hour to Glacier National Park and access to all the mountain lakes, rivers and streams to explore, you won't be bored. Right around the corner, you have access to a boat ramp at one of the state-owned Parks with public showers, if the lake water is too cold. I used this place as a base camp for my Glacier trip, and it was worth every penny. The commons were very well kept, and Terri is a terrific host. It was nice to come back at the end of the night and not have to worry about setting up a tent every night or worry about losing out on a potential spot. I highly recommend the Mooseshroom!!

Allen was great. The view was amazing. I wish we had taken his advice to just stay in the area and boat to Wild Horse Island. But alas we only had so much time. Beautiful shaded grassy area. Deer, birds, owl, hawk - all came through to visit us. Full sewer, water, electricity. We usually dry camp so what a luxury!!

Staying at the Mooseshroom was a absolute dream. It was our first time visiting Glacier, and having a gorgeous campsite to wake up in / come back to after a long day of hiking made the trip 10x better. Terri is an incredible host, checked in with us on a regular basis, and has curated a natural escape!
The amenities were top notch, with a kitchen, grill, showers / bathrooms, and fire-pit. We were able to cook a couple nights at camp, and made breakfast and coffee every morning to enjoy our slow, relaxing start to each day.
Couldn't recommend this place more highly, and won't think twice about staying with Terri again if we're out that way!

This is a beautiful spot with gorgeous views of the river, intense smells of ponderosa pines, privacy, peace, and a path through the woods that leads to a heavenly beach. Easy to find, clear directions, and great host communication. I hope to be camping here a lot in the future.

This place was an absolute gem! We were camped right next to the lake with lots of open space. Alan was amazing and even helped us with a flat tire on our trailer. What a lifesaver! There was an event at their venue 1 night while we were there, but it is far away from the campspot, and we lucked out and got to listen to some wonderful music that evening that was an added bonus. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Our experience here was absolutely amazing. We felt very safe staying here as 2 young girls camping alone. The commons area was very cute and clean, and the outdoor fire pit allowed for us to connect and make friends with our neighbors. Terri is wonderful, and had no issue with us extending our stay multiple times. Would stay here again!

We had a great stay! The campsite was tucked back in the trees with plenty of shade and felt private and peaceful. It was easy to access and made a perfect home base for exploring the Alberton Gorge and surrounding area. The site was just as described. There is some noise from the nearby interstate and railroad, but we knew that going in and it didn’t take away from our experience. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily camp here again!

This campsite was great! Short walk to the common area from the campsite (site 2), so it didn’t feel like too much of a hassle. The commons area had more amenities than expected and were kept very clean. There was some highway noise, but that is stated in her listing and wasn’t too cumbersome. I would very much stay here again.

Terri is welcoming and provides an accessible, comfortable, and convenient option for those looking to experience the glacier area with affordability. This place is a great value in an area that is hard to find affordable options. For those who don’t want or can’t afford glamping, it provides the essentials (bathroom, shower, kitchen, and common area) to just be in nature but still throw together a healthy meal and take a shower after day outside. Beyond that, Terri is a wonderful host who is lovely to chat with when you bump into her.
