3 nights at Hawks Bluff Farm Campground

Had a very pleasant stay at Hawks Bluff. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Electric and water were provided and reliable. Gravel campsites and roadways were well maintained. It was quiet and peaceful. Communication was great.

We loved camping here!! It was cool that we got to choose where we wanted to set up our tent. We enjoyed the farm animals and hiking around the property. The outdoor kitchen was convenient with a stove/oven, fresh spring water and a sink. My son got to rock hunting which was a lot of fun. Everyone was so friendly and helpful!!

Very relaxing farm setting. Elizabeth and her family are extremely friendly and helpful. Had fun exploring and rock hunting. Showers and bathrooms were clean - electric worked great.

I had such a lovely time at Hawks Bluff! Elizabeth was so kind and helpful. Everything was so perfect- the lot of cute farm animals, the rock hunting expedition I attended, the cozy & very roomy tent, and the creek I got to take a dip in! Already planning my trip back.

I thoroughly enjoyed my tent camping and rock hunting adventure at Elizabeth's farm. Elizabeth was a very positive and hospitable hostess, as were her staff. They were quick to respond to any questions or issues.

We loved Hawk Bluff Campground, very rustic and peaceful with electric and water for our RV . The farm animals contributed to the serene atmosphere. Elizabeth and Mark were both helpful, assisting us with where to rockhound on the property. Mark took us down to the creek bed as well as shared the history of the tiff holes. When there was a tornado warning, the owner reached out and had us seek shelter in her basement. Definitely will go back next year if able.

We had an awesome time. Just getting started with RockHounding and this place was a gem! Pun intended! Camp ground is still being developed but good space between sites and the staff was always available to answer questions. Baby goats to play with and an amazing river that we almost fell asleep next to. Lots of trails to hike so take your water, snacks, and a big enough backpack to haul out your bounty!

Cool Place! We camped right by the water. You could hear the water running over the rocks all night. Very secluded and peaceful. We will be coming back to camp and swim in the summer!

This is not your stereotypical camp ground. Yes it is a working farm with animals but it stands out in a good way. They are extremely responsive, accommodating and kind. Elizabeth and Mark both when out of their way to make it a special first camping trip for us. They were patient and friendly with my 8 year old who was super excited and interested in the rocks on site. We had farm fresh eggs brought to our site upon request and Mark went out of his way on multiple occasions to help use with set up and to make it a great time for our kiddo. The dogs are free roaming sometimes but we’re not aggressive, just curious and friendly. The sites are a work in progress but they are pull thought and have water and electric hookup. You can tell they’re always trying to make improvements. The view was amazing and the site was clean and quiet (except the over exited Mule who hilariously would express his excitement occasionally :) ) We will be back.

We had a wonderful experience at Hawk's Bluff! The host, Elizabeth, went above and beyond in every single way and we appreciated her kindness so much! It is a rockhounding paradise and I had 18 gallons in less than 4 total hours of looking and within a 1/2 mile radius of my campsite! I can't imagine what all could be found on the whole 400+ acres! The campsite was clean and had a shady pad for the tent, and fire ring and even firewood alr3ady cut and piled up nearby! Bathrooms are composting outhouses that were well maintained. A full size stove and grill were available for use. Everything about this place was exceptional! And did I mention the rocks!!?? Most beautiful specimens I now own in my collection. I plan to come back many, many times! Highly recommend!

The camping sites, the farm and animals, the private pond to fish and the swimming hole were beautiful. The only thing that wasn’t mentioned was that we could hear the traffic from the highway at night and it was pretty loud. I will recommend others to camp here! Thanks again!

We rent our Enchanted Treehouse that sleeps up to 9 guests for those who enjoy a more pampered getaway with a real bathroom and shower, and we also rent out a Rustic A-Frame that's a little more primitive with a composting toilet and a hose shower out back. Our four free range lovable dogs, colorful chickens, silly geese and goofy turkey Hammerstein, are usually part of the fun of your stay. We have a 3 acre lake with kayak and paddle boat and dock as well as a spring fed wet weather creek. Our mission is to grow our own organic food and to live as sustainably and mindfully as possible in connection with Mother Nature. So the guests we attract are looking for a sacred more quiet getaway. If you wish to throw a big party another place would be best. We have 164 acres that have trails for horseback riding and ATVs. We are located 8 miles from Mermac River and Washington State park where you can rent canoe's and go hiking. We are an hour from St. Louis and Elephant Rock State park as well as Johnston shut ins. We are also with in 8 miles of ROMP dirt bike trail and 1 mile from Moonlight trails and racing that is 400 plus acers of ATV and jeep trails. We have a few waterfalls on the property and lots of areas to hike as well. Several areas of camping to choose from, you can be in the woods or out in the open. Spring and Summer months we offer farm fresh eggs and there is always plenty of firewood. We recently added a pond area as well. We now have Electric and water as well.
