What started as a simple love of backyard chickens has now become a dream farm for Tracey Durant and her husband Theodore. Nestled in the valley between two forest covered hillsides, and running adjacent to Clearwater Creek on the east and the Lake on the south, D'Ranch could not have been a more perfect location for the Durant's to plant their roots and get their feet wet.
While they continue their love of backyard chickens with their small egg and hatchery operation, they have expanded their interests to an array of friendly farm animals including horses, milk cows, pigs, sheep, ducks, geese, and an occasional turkey or two. Guests are welcome to explore the farm, join in the daily milking, and participate as much as they like in the farm chores. There are excellent photo ops so come prepared, and don't forget to share those great pics!

We have two private sites, a primitive campsite directly on the Lake of the Ozarks, and a RV spot with full hook-ups (water, 50 amp AC, and sewer). The two sites are separated from each other, but both have access to the lake, including kayaks, a canoe, a paddleboat, excellent fishing, a boat-ramp, floating dock and a one-mile perimeter nature/hiking trail.
*** NOTE *** From January until early May, the lake level is dropped about five (5) feet, so boating and fishing access range from difficult to impossible (though, arrowhead hunting is a fun activity you might enjoy during the low water months!).
Primative Campsite - A private 1.5 acre campsite with a firepit (and plenty of wood to burn in it) and direct access to the Lake of the Ozarks. Amenities and features of the campsite include: a private camp toilet with a door and a concrete pad, picnic table on a gravel pad with an umbrella, a fully equipped cornhole game, fishing pole holders, a garbage can and three (3) level wood tent platforms.
RV site - the RV site also has a picnic table with umbrella, a garbage can and a fully equipped cornhole game. Nearby, the RV site also has access to a very nice private pit toilet, a gazebo with lights and an electrical outlet, and a firepit stocked with firewood.

The hosts truly went above and beyond, and it’s clear how much care they’ve put into creating these camping and RV spots. Everything is clean, well‑maintained, and thoughtfully set up. Can’t recommend this camp site enough. Between the campsite itself, the trail and all of the other amenities, this campsite is perfect. And not only is the campsite awesome and secluded, Michael is an excellent host and made sure we had or needed anything. Can’t wait to keep coming back here and making awesome memories.

The campground was clean and in a quiet country setting. Steve was very nice and called us a few minutes after we arrived to if we had any questions. Definitely follow Steve's directions to get to the campsite. We made the mistake of following Google's directions on our way in. Didn't do that again! I would recommend this campground and we'll definitely stay there again in the future.

Nice gravel sites, reasonably level. Water, power, and sewer. Small bathroom with shower, but clean. Very quiet here, only the sound of the wind through the trees. Follow the directions to the area given by the owner, Steven. Don't follow Google maps. There will be a section on a gravel road, not bad, but just slow down. Some restaurants and Dollar General within about 10 minute drive. Pretty much anything else you could need within 20-25 minutes. This is a good value, and we would happily stay again.

First and foremost, the owners of this are truly incredible people. They’re very kind and thoughtful and they go to great lengths to make sure that yourstay is as comfortable as possible. They bring you an incredible amount of wood, the fishing pole holders everywhere there are wonderful lights and placement of chairs and guide lights all over the place. This place is truly a Shangri-La.
Secondly, the land itself is magnificent If you’re a nature lover, and enjoy seeing bald eagles, white tail, and an incredible wide variety of birds this place cannot be beat. The body of water that this sits next to is full of fish and is so gorgeous. Also, the site itself is far enough away from city lights that you can see the spiral of the Milky Way galaxy and the star watching is absolutely wonderful.
We plan on coming back to this place annually.
