We are currently *under construction*. Our forest was damaged by the draught and so there are changes underway. Please excuse our appearance as we shift toward becoming a food forest.
Solomon's Garden is a 5 acre homestead located in the Black Warrior River valley. Our site is currently under land work construction, as we are recovering from the pine beetle disaster that has ravaged Alabama. Our beautiful pine trees are no more and we are in the process of rebuilding the campground, planting a food forest and adding an additional shower/toilet facility.
We currently have a semi-private camping area in our small orchard that is flat and grassy that we recommend for tent campers on any day. We also have a larger, more remote camp area available on dry days. We expect land work to be complete in June and are eagerly awaiting the grass, wildflowers and native herbs to return following all this spring rain.

I don't usually select RV parks on Hipcamp but there were few options in the area and this one looked pretty good and I needed electric hookup due to the cold weather. This turned out to be a good spot. There was only one other camper there so I was very quiet. Clubhouse and bathrooms are a nice plus. The bathrooms were heated and spotless.

It was my pleasure to be here, thank you for the invite, the experience was awesome.
Chieftess Sundance & I was talking about doing this very thing on our land, now you & your family has given me a true vision of this possibility becoming a reality.
I loved everything, the women sharing there personal life freely, foraging in real time with an expert guide who gave boundless information & making it fun & easy! Sleeping in a tent is wonderful. The food was expertly demonstrated and the taste was on point. I can't say enough & I would do it again. To say the least the price was just right💯

Nice flat area for tents or vehicles.
No picnic tables or fire rings, but I pulled out my camp table and it was fine. Very, very quiet. Unique bamboo building with a nice shower.

Very few RV Parks betweenTupelo and Birmingham so Matt's camp is a good location. And only a couple of miles off the interstate. Nice secluded, quiet, and shaded area. Clean bathhouse. We will stay there again if our travels take us that way.

There was a lot of highway noise, but we stopped there because it was near the highway route we were taking. So that was fine. Lots of trees. Clean bathroom/shower.

We Loved this campsite!! The trees and bushes were all flowering. We woke up to the birds singing. The shower house/bathroom was clean and very modern. It was an excellent facility. Matt was very informative and professional. I would definitely recommend this campground to anyone!! It was a little slice of Heaven for us.

Stopped in for a night driving cross country in our 36’ class A. This was an awesome option! Super easy to find, clear instructions and communication from host, clean restrooms/showers. I would definitely recommend this place as a great option for a road trip stop! Heated bathrooms and long supply of hot water were a pleasant surprise during the winter :)
Others mention the highway noise, and though you can definitely hear it (it’s so close, which was a huge plus for us), we did not find it distributive at all.
Overall, this spot is cheaper and much more lovely than other right-off-the-highway spots! Go on and book it, I say!

Sprinter 170. Great spot with convenient access from exit. Thought we would hear the freeway noise but it was dead quiet. Wifi signal was pretty weak at our spot but we were located towards the end of the sites near the tent sites. Note: Could not get our Starlink to connect with internet because of obstructions (trees), but no internet is not a deal breaker for us. Would definitely stay again!

Clear and easy directions. Convenient while xcountry. If you’re a light sleeper, road noise may be problem. Was not an issue for me - slept extremely well in my 4Runner. Clean bathroom/shower. Felt safe. Would stop again. Thanks.
