Weekend Trip to Crooked Creek Retreat

Crooked Creek was a perfect oasis away from the city. We really enjoyed the cozy vibes of the cabin, and the walking paths for us to enjoy. We were even provided orange beanies for hunting season, which we greatly appreciated as we went on our hikes! Naomi did a great job of making us feel comfortable and at home, and we would absolutely return.

The view of rolling hills, fields and forest was indeed lovely, especially with the Autumn colors. We loved the dark night sky, and could see all kinds of stars, milky way, meteors, satellites. The cabin is cozy and comfy and the beds were too! We enjoyed cooking over the fire outside, and using the propane griddle. Hosts are super warm, friendly and positive. Thank you for a lovely stay!

This cabin is so magical and had so many comforts it’s hard to consider it rustic. The views are beautiful, Lyndsey and Brad were so wonderful and kind and we loved walking the trails with our pups. Highly recommend and can’t wait to be back!

We wanted to get out but could not find camping with our trailer so my husband and I stayed in the Little Wooded Cottage. It was lovely. The cabin is super small but really cozy. I loved the mattress! It was incredibly comfortable. The cabin inside had a small chair, a nightstand, filled water jug and a few other small amenities. Outdoors came with a picnic table, fire pit, outdoor lighting and private outhouse ( which we appreciated) This cabin is not tucked away like the other cabins, you are close to the hosts home, but we had full privacy from the hosts and other campers. The cabin is shaded under pine trees and some maples and it was very quiet and serene. You are also within a 20 minute drive to Banning SP or St.Croix SP. I would book again for sure.

Huge fan of this property. From the host to the outdoor kitchen, it was a perfect stay. Im such a fan that I knew I needed to extend my reservation for another night within 5 minutes of stepping foot inside. Would’ve booked the whole week if it was possible! They packed a ton of character of into this little cabin, but somehow avoided making it tacky. It’s small, but it never once felt crammed or cluttered. I’ll absolutely be back soon. so happy it’s only about an hour from my home! Thanks for having us. Appreciate you!

Gorgeous setting. Quaint secluded cabins for a nice getaway retreat. Stayed there over the weekend and took day trips up to duluth, two harbors, and gooseberry falls. It was perfect for me and my girlfriend as we wanted a break from the hustle in a quiet setting.

This tiny cabin was so cozy! The heaters kept the cabin so warm, even though the night we stayed was cold and rainy. We loved that there was coffee and everything we needed to make it right there in the cabin. The breakfast was such a generous touch. The little wooded sleeping cottage was the perfect place for me to visit on my solo writing retreat. I slept very soundly after a session in the sauna, and was greeted with a beautiful sunrise in the morning as I strolled around the property. The cottage was warm and cozy, and the location is perfect, too, as it’s just a short drive from Banning State Park. There are countless other places to hike nearby, birds to be watched, and some truly picturesque sights along the Kettle River. This would be a wonderful place to stay any time of the year; with thoughtful accommodations, very friendly hosts, and beautiful scenery, it was an absolute pleasure. Highly recommend, I’d love to go back someday!
