3 nights at SOL VIND - Lakeside Camping Retreat

This was such a cute and cozy spot! The cabin itself was SO cozy and relaxing, and we truly appreciated the AC on the 92-degree day! The hosts were great, and being so close to the beach was amazing. We enjoyed watching the sunsets and having a bonfire on the beach itself. It truly felt like something out of a movie. The other sites are quite close, so if you're looking for isolation, this isn't it; however, there is still a good amount of privacy, and the neighbors at the sites were friendly. I would absolutely recommend this stay and hope to come back someday. Thank you. :)

Weekend Trip to Homestead Hideaway

The Pasture Perch was even better than we had expected! Niccole was very accommodating and the camper itself was very clean and put together. The animals were an added treat. We would absolutely book here again in the future.

We loved this cabin! It was perfect for a family with kids. The weather wasn’t the greatest while we were there, but the beach space was so beautiful and calm. Plenty of space and privacy for a weekend at the beach. The shower and bathroom were very convenient. As well as the coffee machine, fridge, and microwave. Very well put together and homey. We’ll be going back 🧡

We loved our Monday-Friday stay in the apartment! It was very clean, cozy and quiet with comfortable sleeping accommodations. The hosts were very friendly and checking in and out was a breeze. Our kids especially loved looking for frogs near the pond and jumping on the water trampoline! We also enjoyed smores (fixings kindly provided by the hosts) and fires at night on the deck. Thanks for the wonderful stay!

Loved it! Just far enough to get away and feel relaxed and disconnected from the stress of life. Found some great state forest hiking near by. Enjoyed lunch at The Garage in Pine City and checked out the brewery too. The cabin is a comfy cozy space with everything we needed for a few days stay! We are a small family of 3 and happily brought our dog along too! ❤️ Thanks for the opportunity to stay!

This tiny cabin was so cozy! The heaters kept the cabin so warm, even though the night we stayed was cold and rainy. We loved that there was coffee and everything we needed to make it right there in the cabin. The breakfast was such a generous touch. Overall, this was SUCH a great getaway, even on a cold spring weekend.

We loved staying at the Wild West cabin! The host was super responsive and helpful. It was stocked with everything we forgot to bring, from coffee to olive oil. We drove up to banning state park for a beautiful hike.

Very clean and very warm! It was the perfect getaway for wanting the amenities of home but with little to no contact with other people. Although it was cold outside (under 10 degrees) we were comfy and cozy in the cabin!

My husband ended up being sick and I hesitated going along with my three children. I was so glad I went. The A frame is adorable and has everything you need for a night of comfort. I was surprised how the fireplace warmed the whole space up! The woods was lovely. I really appreciated how quick the host helped me trouble shoot the internet. The water is well water and wasn't enjoyable to drink, so I would bring water in the future. The cabin is remote, but I was hoping it would have been off of the road more and I was able to see two homes from in the cabin. Thank you for the stay! The kids are still talking about the "Mirror Cabin."

The Hamlet Lake Homestead

The Hamlet Lake homestead is our 10-acre family home with two unique and private hip-camp sites. The Hamlet Lake Bunkhouse is located to the west of our home in its own secluded parcel next to the lake. The Camp on Hamlet Hill is to the north of our home, on a remote flat hill at the top of our property, on a hill over Cedar brook. with 300-acre, (private) Hamlet Lake in front, and the wide portion of the 20-mile Cedar brook in the back. We are a large "homesteading" family, with chickens, ducks, and a garden. The campsite is a private 1/2 acre clearing, surrounded by woods with a firepit, grill, cooking utensils, and an outhouse. (Tents are available for a small additional cost). There is an outdoor water pump below the hill. Guests can access the waterfront and beach in front, with the use of the swim raft, lily pad, fishing dock, canoe, kayak, and paddle boards included. At nearly 100 feet deep, Hamlet lake also boasts excellent fishing. Our home is located 6 miles from Crosby, with the world-class Cuyuna Lakes 50-mile mountain bike trail system. Crosby is a growing tourist town with many new and unique restaurants, outdoor adventures, and shopping opportunities. The paved bike trail begins 3.5 north of us. Milacs lake is 10 miles to the south.

These are comfortable, rustic cabins with NO running water (drinking water supplied). “Not "ADA" *Well-behaved, house-broken, supervised dogs, and older children welcome. *It helps us to know your ETA in advance and to update us so that we can plan our day as well! Once you are in the area, message us a bit before your arrival so we can meet you and set you up properly! If we miss you, follow the arrow on the wheelbarrow down the hill. Park at Dragon Loft at 1st right, and Raven Watch at very end of drive. *We have free range chickens and friendly border collie. Sometimes there's a dog staying at the other cabin. Wildlife is also in the area, so we require that dogs be supervised and leashed, for their safety, and our wild animal neighbors. No dogs may be left unattended in our cabins while you go out! Take your canine pal with you! Quiet hours: dusk to 7am. Also consider your dog's inclination for barking. We keep the peace and quiet of all of our guests in mind. *DRAGON LOFT has one double bed in a loft with steep ladder. Great for two people. Room for dog bed or kennel below the loft. You have full use of the trails in our woods! *RAVEN WATCH is larger and comfortable for up to four people. Solar power, off grid (no WiFi). Double bed upstairs overlooking the pond, and another downstairs by the cozy wood stove. A cute little kitchen with a nice gas stove and wash area. Fire ring outside. Wood supply. We raised our children here, and over 45 yrs have planted trees and pollinator acres. We always enjoy meeting other travelers.
