The Hamlet Lake Bunkhouse is located to the west of our home in its own secluded parcel next to the lake. The Camp on Hamlet Hill is to the north of our home, on a remote flat hill at the top of our property, on a hill over Cedar brook. with 300-acre, (private) Hamlet Lake in front, and the wide portion of the 20-mile Cedar brook in the back. We are a large "homesteading" family, with chickens, ducks, and a garden. The campsite is a private 1/2 acre clearing, surrounded by woods with a firepit, grill, cooking utensils, and an outhouse. (Tents are available for a small additional cost). There is an outdoor water pump below the hill. Guests can access the waterfront and beach in front, with the use of the swim raft, lily pad, fishing dock, canoe, kayak, and paddle boards included. At nearly 100 feet deep, Hamlet lake also boasts excellent fishing. Our home is located 6 miles from Crosby, with the world-class Cuyuna Lakes 50-mile mountain bike trail system. The cabin has power. Please bring your own water. An outhouse is available on-site. During the summer months, we provide a 5-gallon water dispenser for your stay. From October through April, there is no water provided—please bring your own. We are located approximately 5 miles from the Sax-Zim Bog Welcome Center—perfect for birdwatchers seeking a quiet getaway. The Space There are many ATV and snowmobile trails nearby. We have two fire pits for roasting marshmallows or relaxing by the fire, plus a grill for outdoor cooking. Guest Access Relax at our Rustic Retreat and enjoy everything our property has to offer! Explore the trails winding through 25 acres along the river and around the property—all with complete privacy and no neighbors in sight. State land nearby offers even more opportunities for hunting, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, and much more. It was seriously one of the best experiences ever. The owners were so kind and went above and beyond to let our two boys interact with the animals. Camping was their birthday present and they said it was the best trip they ever had. The animals were so fun, and hiking is super close by. We definitely want to return.

We enjoyed a great "quick getaway" (from Minneapolis) at this sweet property. Tucked in the woods, a 3 minute walk to the river, this was super relaxing. Hiking at St Croix State Park, s'mores, reading & games... Couldn't ask for a better mini-break. Thanks for the hospitality!

We loved the property and amenities! My husband isn’t much of a camping or outdoors kind of guy but he had a great time here! The cabin was clean and had all kitchen cookware needed when we were stuck inside due to rain. We had a fire every day we were there and cozied up by the fireplace inside when it rained. The stars out there were truly breathtaking! The location is out of the way of noise but not so out of the way from civilization with the nearby town 25 mins away. Dave and Tracy really thought about everything needed to accommodate your stay.

We wanted to get out but could not find camping with our trailer so my husband and I stayed in the Little Wooded Cottage. It was lovely. The cabin is super small but really cozy. I loved the mattress! It was incredibly comfortable. The cabin inside had a small chair, a nightstand, filled water jug and a few other small amenities. Outdoors came with a picnic table, fire pit, outdoor lighting and private outhouse ( which we appreciated) This cabin is not tucked away like the other cabins, you are close to the hosts home, but we had full privacy from the hosts and other campers. The cabin is shaded under pine trees and some maples and it was very quiet and serene. You are also within a 20 minute drive to Banning SP or St.Croix SP. I would book again for sure.

Met Ann when I arrived and she is a very kind and friendly host and was easy to connect with through messenger before the visit. The land is simply beautiful and has a variety of habitats to hike through and you feel at peace in the country but close to Duluth for restaurants and activities.

We loved staying in this camper! The bathroom and kitchen were both really nice and everything worked great. The main bed has a mattress topper and was very comfortable. We also really enjoyed waking up and visiting some of the animals. The hosts were very welcoming and attentive. We will be coming back!

Huge fan of this property. From the host to the outdoor kitchen, it was a perfect stay. Im such a fan that I knew I needed to extend my reservation for another night within 5 minutes of stepping foot inside. Would’ve booked the whole week if it was possible! They packed a ton of character of into this little cabin, but somehow avoided making it tacky. It’s small, but it never once felt crammed or cluttered. I’ll absolutely be back soon. so happy it’s only about an hour from my home! Thanks for having us. Appreciate you!

Niccole was always there to answer any questions. Her place was extremely what we were looking for. We visited her animals every morning and evening My girls absolutely 💯 ❤️ it.
