LARGE GROUPS - We are hosting events! Graduation parties, small weddings, family reunions, you name it. You can rent the whole campground for a day a night, a weekend, or a whole week if that suits your need. Just send us a message and we can talk about it. We can also accommodate large groups at a single campsite or you can rent several of them. Our primary guideline is that if your event will be held while other campers are here, it cannot disturb them. So, consider renting the whole campground.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please plan to arrive and set up camp between 3 and 9 PM. If you are planning to arrive after 9 PM, please send us a message letting us know. We decide on a case by case basis since we prefer not to have late arrivals. In any event we do not accept arrivals after 11 PM except in an emergency since many campers and your host may have already gone to bed.
Overview:
Our beautiful 10 acre farm and homestead is situated between Ann Arbor and Dexter not far from the Huron River. The 5 acre area where our campsites are located is wooded with mature oak, maple, walnut, elm, and white pine trees. We're isolated and surrounded by wild areas and natural farm land but just a 10 minute drive to restaurants, groceries, fuel, and other amenities. The Ann Arbor area is home to a huge array of world class events from the Ark music venue to National Champions Michigan home football games and a whole lot more. Downtown Ann Arbor or Dexter or Chelsea is only a 15 minute car drive. White Lotus Farms, which has a wonderful farm market on Saturdays from 9 - 2 and Wednesdays from 9 - 1, is a 10 minute walk down our dirt road. If you forget to bring something that you need, don't hesitate to ask! We've got a growing number of camping essentials for rent or sale for very reasonable prices that can make your stay even more enjoyable: from bug repellants to camp chairs, potable water in 2.5 - 5 gallon containers, and more.

The rolling land is 1/2 forest/wetlands and 1/2 fields, making it a biodiverse hot spot for plants, animals, and fungi. We are situated at the end of a private road with only 2 residences. 12+ wooded acres to enjoy(hiking/exploring). At this time, only Sprinter Vans, Truck Campers and small trailers are ideal for the RV sites. Tent campers set up at the back of the property in the woods. Several hiking trails and locations to camp. There are multiple fire rings out back and plenty of fallen wood to burn or you can purchase seasoned split wood bundles on site. Suggested Local Attractions: The property borders a public golf course, downtown Lake Orion or Oxford are less than 1.5 miles as is public access to All-Sports Lake Orion(the lake) as well as others in the area. Dozens of miles of hiking/mountain biking trails. Bald Mountain State Park and Addison Oaks trailheads 2 and 3 miles respectively. Disc Golf courses. Public beaches, paved trails, etc. Or you can just hang out and watch the various wildlife that frequent the property. The Oaks Campground is a 155-acre family campground in Munith, Michigan, right next to the Waterloo Recreation Area and a short drive from Jackson, Ann Arbor and Chelsea. It's a nature-first park with about 120 acres of wooded trails under old-growth oaks, and it borders the Haehnle Sanctuary, where thousands of sandhill cranes gather each fall. Deer, turkeys, eagles and herons are regular sightings.
The spring-fed swim lake has a new sand beach and an Aquaglide floating water park, plus a Kangaroo Jumper for the kids. A separate fishing lake with a dock is an easy first fishing trip for kids.

Our RV sites are all at least 55 feet long, and most are much longer. The park has bath houses, laundry and a camp store with firewood, ice and hand-scooped ice cream. We enjoyed our night at the Peabody house! It was an easy in & out in our 28 ft class C with our jeep attached. We were able to pull in the driveway and unhook are jeep in the semicircle. The hosts are so gracious to park in the grass of the semicircle while hosting! It was a short drive to downtown Ann Arbor where we got dinner and took our son to Pinball Pete's. It was very peaceful at night and perfectly level. We were able to use their WiFi to watch a movie since the air quality wasn't good while we were visiting. We will be back!

Great property close to hiking and downtown Lake Orion. The two track back to the furthest camp site adds to the sense of seclusion. We will be staying again.

I really enjoyed our stay here, it was the perfect place to try out our new truck bed tent. There was so much wood to collect from the forest to have a fire and enjoy the outdoors, I really got to enjoy the wild life. The outhouse is very cute. Michael was a very nice host and very informative and has great communication. If you’re looking to get away from the “city” with access to everything you need this is just that place for you.

This little hidden gem is perfect for those in southeast Michigan who want that up north feeling—without the long drive or the bears. The site I stayed at was incredibly spacious, and well laid out.
The amenities were thoughtful, with a fire extinguisher right at the pit making it the safest setup I’ve used. The trails were a nice bonus, good for a relaxed walk through the trees. Firewood was plentiful and good quality.
Because it’s not rural, you do occasionally hear traffic in the distance, but it fades into the background. At night, what stands out are the crickets and forest sounds.
Overall, it’s spacious, safe, well-stocked, and tucked away in the trees. I'm already planning my return trip!

What a peaceful and tranquil place to have as home base to explore Detroit and Ann Arbor Michigan. Temps were high, so having a 50 Amp hook up was so important to us to be able to run our a/c. Also being able to fill some water in our tanks was very helpful as it has been hard to find publicly. Camping World is only 12 miles away in Chelsea and the dump is free if you have A Good Sam’s membership. The hosts were responsive when we needed them but also gave us our space to do our own thing. We were in a 34 ft class A RV and we fit, but you may need some help being guided in, so let them know when you are close by.

Look no further……STAY HERE! Place was awesome and so was the host. Property is beautiful with lots of diff trees. Short drive to beaches if you’re looking to take a dip. Stores close by if you need anything. Little town looked cool too. We’ll be back to further explore. Thank you Michael!
