I love to travel and when I tell you I deeply appreciate when the accommodations exceed expectations!
The pics and the descriptions do not do this camp ground and resort justice.
We stayed in the yurts. Reserved both for 4 days. My site was for myself and my dog. My sister had her 2 boys next door.
Reserving was easy, the owner was quick to respond to questions and even had propane stoves ready for us at the covered pavilion. We ended up not using them because we brought a charcoal grill.
I can’t say enough about how clean and just how meticulous everything was from the bathroom, to the playground, to the trails, and the yurts them selves were OUTSTANDING.
My boyfriend and I are looking at dates to go in the fall. And my girlfriends and I are looking at dates to go next month.

Weekend Trip to Bear Woods Resort
Glamping tent was great! Comfy bed, nice to have water cooler, microwave and chairs on front porch. Maybe bring a lantern and a fan if its hot. Shower house was a great addition, however cold water, which was OK cause it was 90 degrees out. They are still working on it though, so maybe they are planning to add water heater. Enjoyed walking in the woods on the trails. Sat on porch at Portage Point resort and ate pizza for dinner, ate ice cream by Portage lake at a park. Enjoyed breakfast by the lake at Lakeside Cafe. Beautiful grounds. Cabins looked cute as well. Would definitely come again!

This is a really great spot to camp, central to a lot of amenities and the owners are great people! Definitely planning to come back sometime.
