Awesome property that is perfect for stargazing, hanging out, or whatever you want. Can’t wait to come back

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time camping here. Tammy was an incredible host, very kind and accommodating to us. The property is beautifully situated on the lake, which is perfect for swimming, kayaking, fishing etc. The campsites were well spaced out and maintained a level of privacy even with a few other campers staying at the same time. I would highly recommend staying here!

Tammy was an amazing host! Really set the standard for hospitality!! Had a great shaded spot that overlooked the lake. Tammy brought over a fire pit as well. Provided kayaks to access the lake. Also made a fantastic breakfast with coffee in the morning! Highly recommend!!

Nice place surrounded by woods. Very quiet. Great place to use as your base to explore Pictured Rocks. Also a nice bonus to have a full hookup if you need it.

Appreciated Neal welcoming us and getting us situated in a quiet spot on the property, and providing a power outlet for our truck camper -- also sewer was available if needed. We spent a quiet night on our journey, and Neal's location near Newberry is great if your on you're way to far-flung UP destinations, north, east, south and west!

Host was friendly and accommodating. Just needed a place to sleep for the noght. Neal let us park alongside his garage with 30amp. Easy to find. Planning to stay here again on our next trip through the UP.

3 nights at Weidenhamer Lodge

Great host. Met upon arrival. We requested to be as close to water as possible and we were not disappointed. A little less private then what we are use to. It took a minute to adjust. About an hours drive to Pricture Rock and some great hiking trails. My 12 yo son loved it here. Super convenient to for all your needs and adventures. Very clean outhouse and free wood.

We had a great stay here! Tammy is very welcoming and has a lot of fun stories! Loved being able to paddle around on the peaceful lake, too.

1 night at High Swamp Camp

Booked last-minute and arrived around 9:30 PM. Chris, the host, kindly warned us about mosquitoes, but we didn’t mind as we just needed a place to sleep before heading to Pictured Rocks the next morning. The site was level, surrounded by trees for privacy, and easy to access via a decent 2-track. Signage was great. Restroom and shower was spotless. Chris checked in the next morning, ensuring we were comfortable, and we even spotted a deer outside our van. A peaceful, well-kept spot with a friendly host - we will definitely return!

Reached out early if I needed any help getting to the site. Was greeted upon arrival. We had the site to ourselves which was nice. Its right next to the house and there's an outhouse too. The owner said we were welcome to use her paddle boat but we didn't have time to use it but appreciated the offer.

Tammy was such an amazing campsite host! With a spot right by the lake, the property was well-kept, lovely, and spacious enough to set up camp. While my partner and I were there it was particularly windy, so it was challenging to cook over a fire and the lake conditions weren’t ideal for kayaking. Tammy was so kind to offer us her grill to use, helped me refill the air in my tires, and was sweet to show us around the property. On the last day of our stay, it was particularly windy and stormy so Tammy offered the guest camper van to sleep in overnight. Upon morning, she sent us off with breakfast for the ride back. Quite the memorable trip and I’d be happy to recommend this spot to anyone!

Beautiful spot on Lake Milakokia (1,956 acres) featuring walleye, perch, pike, and suckers with the most amazing sunrises as well as sunsets. Tahquamenon Falls, Kitchitikipi, Pictured Rocks Lakeshore, and the Mackinac Bridge all within an hours drive. Very quiet property. Pets welcomed but must be on a leash and attended at all times. Bars, restaurants, and dispensaries near by. Please note: This is not a campground. There are not designated sites. There are 4 areas on the property to camp. Two are within two feet from the beach, while the remaining two are about 50’ from the beach but have full views of the lake. We have approximately 400’ of lake frontage.
