We are situated at the end of a private road with only 2 residences. 12+ wooded acres to enjoy(hiking/exploring). Several hiking trails and locations to camp. There are multiple fire rings out back and plenty of fallen wood to burn or you can purchase seasoned split wood bundles on site. Suggested Local Attractions: The property borders a public golf course, downtown Lake Orion or Oxford are less than 1.5 miles as is public access to All-Sports Lake Orion(the lake) as well as others in the area. Dozens of miles of hiking/mountain biking trails. Bald Mountain State Park and Addison Oaks trailheads 2 and 3 miles respectively. Disc Golf courses. Public beaches, paved trails, etc. Or you can just hang out and watch the various wildlife that frequent the property. At least a dozen breweries, distilleries, restaurants a couple miles away, easily able to walk/bike/drive.

What a gem! The owner clearly put a lot of thought and effort into this site, and we could not have asked for a better host. Trails to walk, super clean and fully-stocked outhouse, fire pits with more wood around than you could ever need, and enough wildlife to fill a bingo card. We saw deer as we pulled in, and over the course of a weekend spotted a toad, a muskrat, garter snakes, butterflies, bats, and woodpeckers. While it's absolutely woodsy, the property is tucked right around the corner from Stoney Creek beach and some of the best eateries we've seen in a while and just up the road from the store in case you need any last-minute supplies. Overall 10/10 experience, we will be back!

This was a great place to camp for the night. It's just a grassy area but a good enough distance from the tiny house that you're not bothering each other. The location was really nice, they have a great little bakery in town and it was only a 20 minute drive to the beach. Jeffrey had great communication and made the stay wonderful!

We had a wonderful stay! Bryan was an amazing host—very accommodating and incredibly prompt with every response. Communication was excellent from start to finish, making everything easy and stress-free.
The campsite was peaceful, private, and exactly what we were looking for. It had plenty of room to spread out, beautiful wooded surroundings, and was the perfect place to relax by the campfire, enjoy our morning coffee, and truly unplug. It felt like having our own little private retreat.

This was our first time using Hipcamp. We had a fantastic time camping in the woods. It was the perfect secluded spot we were looking for! Neal and his family were so welcoming and nice! This was a hidden gem with a pond full of fun little fish. Not a full upnorth experience but the stars at night might say otherwise. It was fun, relaxing and a great experience with Hipcamp using it for the first time. My kids had a great time away from the city life and catching a ton of fire flies at night. There's enough woods and land for everyone to spread out. Neal and Melissa are very helpful and quick to respond with any questions. Overall I highly recommend it for anyone looking to stay away from the city life.

We booked Site 1 for a one-night stay with our family because we camp often and wanted to try somewhere new. The check-in and check-out times were especially convenient, and the site itself was clean, spacious, and peaceful. We appreciated the clean portable restroom, the dedicated area for solar shower bags, and the access to beautiful hiking trails on a well-kept property.
The campsite was great, but the real reason we’ll be back is Bryan, the host, and his dog, Mo. They welcomed us warmly, gave us the lay of the land, brought firewood, and checked in just enough to make sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive.
When it was time to leave, our truck wouldn’t start. Bryan immediately brought his truck to help jump it, crawled underneath to diagnose the problem, and even called around trying to find someone who could repair it. Thanks to his help, we booked another night and got a mobile mechanic out to fix the issue. He kept checking on us, making sure we had enough food and water and asking if there was anything else he could do.
The campsite alone is worth the visit, but Bryan’s genuine kindness and hospitality turned a stressful situation into one we’ll never forget. We came for the camping, but we’ll absolutely be back because of Bryan and Mo. 10/10 highly recommend!

Neal was a wonderful host with excellent communication throughout. Even directed us to a local dump station. The land is beautiful and we had a great time. Pretty quiet there too. Lots of wildflowers to look at, trails in the woods to walk, and sooo many different dragonflies - which were fun to watch. Fishing in the pond was nice too. Also saw a red squirrel, deer, and various birds. Very nice to reconnect with nature, as we are from the city!

Wife and I stayed here on our journey across the country and it was a nice little place not to far from town. I loved that the place is non profit and can really benefit people in need. It was sad to see that they no longer have goats and I think some pictures could be updated but if you're traveling through the area it's a great place to stay for sure.
