Calumet also has a big farmer's market every Saturday during the warmer months and free music performances every Wednesday night at the Calumet Theater! For nature lovers - your right in it! You can start hiking or biking right out of the camper. Your connected to miles of trails that cover the Keweenaw Peninsula. 10/10 would stay here again! It was a gorgeous, spacious site. The location was great (my friends and I were able to explore up to Copper Harbor and down to Houghton with ease), the site itself was very clean and private, and the small touches were so thoughtful (fire making supplies and cooking utensils). Our only regret was not carving out enough time in our plans to explore the farm/trails and get to know the owners!

Folks should understand this is a working farm, so watch where you step! Sauna was awesome - slept really well afterwards! See you again for the three-peat! Didn't play, but they also have a killer disc golf course.

This is beautiful place. Your surrounded by trees on 3 sides minus where you pull in. In front of you is the bay. The fire pit has one high side and 3 low sides, which was nice for cooking. There is a picnic table, shovel, rake and ax and a clothes line left to use. There was also enough wood left for 2 or3 fires. Unfortunately it rained as we got there so alot of it was wet. They leave a hose with a sprayer by the entrance on a tree limb for water use. He did also supply the wifi password. You can walk out a good distance in the water before it drops off. Yes, you can hear some traffic from the main rd. But its more of background noise. The sunrise is not "in your face" nor is the sunset, it goes down behind some mts. But the bay is in the west side

We had a wonderful stay at Ryan’s glamping site! The tent was spacious and felt cozy, with the lighting providing ambiance and even throw pillows and blankets for an extra touch of warmth. We enjoyed falling asleep to the sound of rain falling on the tent, while remaining dry inside. The site was easy to find and we were greeted upon arrival. It was the perfect place to stay while we spent the weekend immersed in nature, exploring the Keweenaw Peninsula. We are already planning to go back next year!

I pulled in at dusk - directions were clear, and the campsite was quiet and private in a beautiful rural setting, yet convenient the next morning when I needed to get to town. Water was provided, as well as a picnic table and trashcan and information about the farm. I would totally stay here again!

4 nights at Pure Air Paradise

We would definitely stay here again! The camper was great. It was well stocked with everything you need for a stay and the beds were comfortable (they had a soft memory foam topper on the mattress that I loved). Having a recliner was also great as well. The camper had A/C for hot days and space heaters for cool nights. It had a coffee maker, blender, fridge, freezer (that all worked well). We also had warm water for a comfortable shower. It was our first time staying in a camper and Alyssa was very responsive/helpful with any questions. The area seemed really safe and the location is great to many different destinations. It is located just off a major road (convenient) but not many cars drive by (pretty quiet). It's about 30 minutes to the east end of the Porkies, 45 minutes to Agate Beach, and an hour to Houghton. There are good and inexpensive food options locally on Ontonagon that stay open late after a day of adventure. Due to previous campers not cleaning up well, they now charge a modest cleaning fee but it was nice to just do and light clean and go upon checkout instead of a deep clean. If you are looking for great option in the Ontonogan region, this is the place.

3 nights at Private Wooded Camping on the Lake

This woodsy site on Huron Bay was fabulous for our family trip. We have a small pop-out camper that just fit on a spot with a great view of the water, and that left just one other small level spot for our kids' tent. It might prove challeging to fit a large rig. It was great to have water fill up right there, and the convenience store down the road with all the basics. The sandy beach area fun. It goes out a long ways before dropping off, which makes swimming and fishing a bit challenging. It's more of a wading beach. Our dog loved it. There are houses on either side of the site, but they are not really visible through the decent stretch of woods and no one was there while we were there. There is a bit of road noise, but it's not all that busy and there is a thick screen of woods between the site and the road. The neighbor's dock is massive and juts out into deeper water mockingly beckoning you to go where you cannot tresspass. The kayaks for rent did not come with plugs (they were definitely taking on water) or life vests, so they were a bit unsafe to take too far out in the bay, and they were a bit small for the 200+ lb people in our group. Fortunately we brought our canoe and managed to catch a single northern pike in 3 days. We saw quite a few fish jump, heard many birds, and had an ermine boldly cut through camp in front of us. The only real complaint we had was that the porta-potty was unusable. We can deal with gross, but this one was beyond that.

24 ft travel trailer

1 night at Private Wooded Camping on the Lake

Very nice few with a wonderful sandy beach and waterfront. Plenty of eagles, loons, and sturgeon jumping out front. Prepare to get creative behind the steering wheel to position your 20 plus foot trailer for the best view but it can be done. Fire pit is just ok and the porta john hasn't been pumped out in a long time ( glad we use our trailer for those things). Close to Finn Bar for lunch if needed and a few hikes to local waterfalls. Lastly, within seconds of connecting our Android phones to the local internet provided we were infected by a virus and both of devices need a factory reset.... currently working to get a backup done without passing on virus to the cloud storage.
