The kitchen has a mini-fridge and a gas camping stove and is furnished with all you need for cooking and eating. If you prefer cooking on an open fire there is a campfire pit that's a great spot to hang out on cool evenings. You can enjoy your meals on the little retro table in the kitchen or on the big picnic table in the yard. Internet is also available.
Your large private outdoor bathroom has a hot-water shower and a camper style toilet. (see photo). The camper is right next to the outdoor kitchen/bathroom which is connected to the back of the main house. It was all built with maximum privacy in mind for both the Hip-camper and the House-guest.
THE AREA
You are on the edge of the village of Larium in Calumet township. It's a very safe and quiet area. You can see some neighbor's houses from the yard - all nice good people :)
It's only a few minutes walk or bike ride to downtown Calumet where you can find a grocery store, coffee shops, a great bakery, restaurants ... Calumet also has a big farmer's market every Saturday during the warmer months and free music performances every Wednesday night at the Calumet Theater!
For nature lovers - your right in it! You can start hiking or biking right out of the camper. Your connected to miles of trails that cover the Keweenaw Peninsula. For swimming it's only a short drive to Calumet Water Works Park for an excellent Lake Superior Sunset Beach. You may also want to check out Mount Bohemia for the ultimate spa relaxation at the end of adventure filled days!

Beautiful little spot. Private and very quiet over night It is close to the highway but noise was during the day not at night. It's hidden from the road so it's a nice spot. Close to lots of activities and not too far from town. We will be back.

Our family of five plus our pup really enjoyed staying in the 26 foot camper. It was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed from linens for the beds, towels, to kitchen supplies. Howard was a great host and responded quickly to any questions I had. This was the perfect location right off 41 which made it super easy to explore all that Keweenaw has to offer, including being close to all the trails. We brought our Jeeps and had so much fun exploring the northern top of the peninsula all the way down to Houghton.
Great spot, would definitely stay here again!

Neil's camper is nice and clean, and the kitchen/shower/toilet shed is convenient and private. Neil is a responsive and respectful host. I recommend his place as an economical and easy option for travel accommodation.

4 nights at Pure Air Paradise
We would definitely stay here again! The camper was great. It was well stocked with everything you need for a stay and the beds were comfortable (they had a soft memory foam topper on the mattress that I loved). Having a recliner was also great as well. The camper had A/C for hot days and space heaters for cool nights. It had a coffee maker, blender, fridge, freezer (that all worked well). We also had warm water for a comfortable shower. It was our first time staying in a camper and Alyssa was very responsive/helpful with any questions.
The area seemed really safe and the location is great to many different destinations. It is located just off a major road (convenient) but not many cars drive by (pretty quiet). It's about 30 minutes to the east end of the Porkies, 45 minutes to Agate Beach, and an hour to Houghton. There are good and inexpensive food options locally on Ontonagon that stay open late after a day of adventure.
Due to previous campers not cleaning up well, they now charge a modest cleaning fee but it was nice to just do and light clean and go upon checkout instead of a deep clean.
If you are looking for great option in the Ontonogan region, this is the place.

We had a great time the area is a stone's throw away from Ontonagon. Yet,far enough away to be peaceful we were the only ones out of the three sites there so it was very quiet. Alyssa's was very helpful and quick to communicate because we got turned around a couple times would recommend anyone to stay there, five stars for sure!!

Wonderful camper in the woods! We loved the experience of staying here and exploring the surrounding area. Very private spot, with a beautiful view of wildflowers from the windows and friendly hosts. We would definitely stay here again, and hope to do the quad tour with Howard next time! Definitely recommended!

The camper seemed brand new! Everything was clean and worked well. Located on their property in the woods. It was peaceful and quiet, but still only about 10 minutes from town where we grabbed a nice dinner. Also, convenient to many locations in the beautiful UP. Check-in and check-out were seamless. The hosts were kind and accommodating. They even offered to let us grab our own eggs from their chicken coop. A really nice place to stay with our pups! Thank you!

Jacqueline’s trailer was an absolute dream! We really enjoy tent camping most of the time, but this was the perfect little upgrade.
