The downstairs also houses a smart TV, and a Blu-ray/DVD player with assorted movies. High speed internet access is also available. Cell service may be spotty, Xfinity Mobile, utilizing Verizon towers, typically provides us with 2 bars, sufficient for basic online tasks such as checking emails and social media. We provide sheets and towels for your convenience. The cabin boasts a fully equipped kitchen and a clothes washer (no dryer), with a clothesline available for drying. Enjoy outdoor cooking using the grill on the deck, or over the fire pit. There is also a propane fire pit on the deck and a second wood fire pit by the river. Our cabin is our cherished retreat, which we occasionally open up to guests. First off let me say, this was the most relaxing camping I've ever experienced! The beds were super comfy, a fridge w/freezer was so cute & roomy, cooking on the skillet over the fire with the well designed fire pit with adjustable racks made it incredibly easy to cook over., and having dish washing service was so nice! Had a great stay! The pop-up camper is newer, very cozy, and clean. It was the dead of a very hot summer and I was still pretty cool at night. Richard was a kind and very helpful host -immediately took care of everything I needed. Site is in his large backyard, steps from the Little Manistee river. I'm a fly fishermen and got in a few hours of fishing during just a one night stay. Decent hole with Brown Trout and smallmouth right next to the site. Overall great experience.

The cabin at Riverside was absolutely adorable! All the ambience of a true fishing cabin from long ago. Julie and Bill were fantastic hosts. The communication was spectacular and they responded to us immediately when a little hiccup occurred. The cabin is situated right on the river and there are boats and kayakers waving as they pass. There is a train directly across the street hidden by some trees, so you will hear the train noises, but that didn’t bother us any. It’s not a secluded site, but you still have privacy. You really only need to bring your clothes because everything else has been provided for you. Fennville is a cute little town with a surprisingly well appointed grocery store and some great dining spots. It’s a short distance to Saugatuck, Holland, and a little farther to South Haven. We had a great day and would love to come back again to do some kayaking! Thank you, Bill and Julie!

Richard was a great host. As a solo camper, I was nervous going out alone but Richard was very kind and gave me plenty of tips for fishing. He left me to do my thing which I appreciated. Even though it was hot, I still managed to get on a ton of fish. Fantastic spot if you are looking to get on some fish. Mosquitoes weren’t a problem!

Richard was so flexible and open to letting us stay on his property on such short notice. Everything was set up for us; he even stayed around to show us the land once we got there. So peaceful, and still felt cool on the hottest days with the fans in the camper, which is also really nice. The outhouse is well taken care of; just bring some hand sanitizer with you!! Richard was very kind and super cool and we definitely want to go back to him and explore some more!
