Welcome to our 40-acre property—a beautiful blend of woods and farmland. Whether you're looking to explore nature or just relax, there's something here for everyone.
Wander through a mix of forest trails and open space, or enjoy a stroll through our gardens (while our campsite is pet friendly, we do ask that you keep your pets out of the garden areas). Wildlife is abundant—keep an eye out for deer, birds, and more. Our serene pond is a perfect spot to unwind as you listen to frogs and watch turtles and ducks in their natural habitat.
Wild apple trees and thimbleberries dot the property and you're welcome to pick from them when they are in season. A nearby trail connects directly to town and larger trail systems, making it easy to explore the area on foot or by bike.
We’re just up the road from Hungarian Falls, a beautiful nature preserve with scenic hiking trails, swimming spots, and cascading waterfalls. The historic town of Calumet is only 7 minutes away, home to charming shops, dining, and part of the Keweenaw National Historical Park. Local attractions include:
Swedetown Recreation Area – mountain biking and hiking trails
Calumet Lions Park – disc golf, horseshoes, and nature trails
Calumet Golf Course – only 2 minutes away from us
Calumet Township Waterworks Park – volleyball, basketball, picnic areas, and Lake Superior access
Heading south, you’ll find more adventures within 30 minutes, including Nara Nature Park, Michigan Tech Trails, Maasto Hiihto Trails, and the Portage Canal. For bigger excursions, Mt. Bohemia is just 40 minutes north, and Copper Harbor—with epic views and even more trails—is a bit further beyond.
Although we’re close to several towns and outdoor destinations, our property is peaceful and private. It’s the perfect basecamp for your Keweenaw adventure.

Our property provides a mixture of fields, forest, pond, and creek with some views of Lake Superior and of Isle Royale. We are conveniently located between Calumet and McLain State Park as well as adjacent the Swedetown Recreation Area (our property touches Swedetown's boundary and the M203 trailhead is just down the road). Using us as a basecamp, everything the Keweenaw has to offer is easily within reach.
Important details regarding our sites:
Sites 1 - 3 are for tenting groups. Among these sites 1 and 3 will accommodate multiple tents while site 2 only has room for one. There is a short walk to access our tent sites.
Site 4 is available for multiple tents, vehicle camping, and rv's.

Great place, had it to my self most of the week. Good location for exploring the Keweenaw. Nice views. Sites 1-3 are on a pound. Each site has an increasing view of the pound as you go from 1 to 3.
2 and 3 are walk in sites, I was in 1.

Really neat property. Evan met us when we arrived and rode a utv to where we needed to park. The cows chased us as we went passed their fence, because every animal loves my girlfriend, probably because they thought Evan was going to feed them. 🤣
The site are well designed. 3 had a great view of the good sized pond he has on his property. The location is ideal for people that are interested in rock hunting. 30 minutes from gratiot park. 10 minutes from Calumet waterworks park. 10 minutes from McClain state park.

We loved camping on Evan's land! His land is private and tucked back by a lake. We were greeted by a wild turkey when we arrived at our campsite which was really cool. Campsites were set up really nice with a fire ring and picnic table. He also has an out house and running water from a well for guests. Tent sites have plenty of room but parking might be an issue depending on site. We really enjoyed our stay!

10/10 would stay here again! It was a gorgeous, spacious site. The location was great (my friends and I were able to explore up to Copper Harbor and down to Houghton with ease), the site itself was very clean and private, and the small touches were so thoughtful (fire making supplies and cooking utensils). Our only regret was not carving out enough time in our plans to explore the farm/trails and get to know the owners!

Site #4 was amazing. Away from everything, quiet, clean and beautiful. Evan was an excellent host super helpful and hospitable. We were thankful to find such an excellent property and host to stay with. We heard wolves, coyotes, and owls. The night sky was amazing. We'll definitely return. We had an F250 and a 11ft trailer and had no issues whatsoever navigating the campsite.

Excellent host. Nice spot. Young trees and shrubs at the campsite. If you need to hang a hammock or tarp it's not possible. Otherwise it's a great place to camp. I definitely recommend it.

This is a beautiful piece of property and our site was perfect in every way! We stayed at site 4 with our Off Grid Trailer for 4 nights. The site was spacious , very secluded and private and even though we had a a fair amount of rain one night it drained extremely well. Loved the two and cows in the pasture next to our site and to our surprise there was even some apple trees on our site that were in season that we were allowed to indulge in! Thanks Evan! The outhouse that is available for guests to use was very clean. The hosts were polite, courteous and respected our privacy during our stay. Thanks Evan for being a great host and we will definitely book this location again if we are ever back in Michigan!

Our family of five plus our pup really enjoyed staying in the 26 foot camper. It was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed from linens for the beds, towels, to kitchen supplies. Howard was a great host and responded quickly to any questions I had. This was the perfect location right off 41 which made it super easy to explore all that Keweenaw has to offer, including being close to all the trails. We brought our Jeeps and had so much fun exploring the northern top of the peninsula all the way down to Houghton.
Great spot, would definitely stay here again!

This homestead is beautiful! We are greeted by 2 cows. The brown faced steer kept staring at me (got a little self conscious) and they are adorable, but don’t pet. The site is private and quiet. Evan is a gracious host and helped us find our way to the site. Easy access to all the sites. The outhouse is very clean! In a clear night you can see all the stars. Would definitely recommend and stay here again! Thank you for sharing.

This campsite worked out perfectly for me! I pulled in at dusk - directions were clear, and the campsite was quiet and private in a beautiful rural setting, yet convenient the next morning when I needed to get to town. Water was provided, as well as a picnic table and trashcan and information about the farm. I would totally stay here again!
