Campsites are all riverfront along the Tobacco River. Country feel within blocks of town. Ross Lake/Beach, the remodeled Beaverton Tavern, park, an ice cream shop and splash park are all located within a long walk or short drive. We are close to Gladwin, Ross Lake, ORV trails and the Juicy Bone. The river flows into Wixom Lake which is anticipated to be back in 2025. Sandy beach with river access .
You can access the river from our canoe portage on the property. Good fishing, swimming or just hanging out. You can also canoe, kayak or tube beautiful Tobacco River or sandy Cedar River. Picnic tables and fire pits are located throughout the property. Good music, games, sing a longs. Hike through the trails to get to the the enchanted cedar forest which is all located in the campground. We have an outdoor 250 inch screen where we project movies, concerts, games, interactive dance videos. For kids and adults, everyone leaves with a smile.

Each day we feel blessed to live in an idyllic, peaceful spot and we would like to share the serenity we've found here.
We are less than a mile off Old 27, close to 127 and 5 miles to I-69 DeWitt Exit. Drop by and stay for a night on your way to your final destination or relax and stay for a few days,
Our first site is open for tent or RV. Our new heated barn has a flush-toilet, sink, shower, washer and dryer. Less than a mile down the road is our local tavern with good, affordable food and welcoming vibe.
Our home sits in the middle of a large clover lawn surrounded by woods, a pond and low-land meadow with high grass and wildflowers. Walking trails are cut through the woods and meadow providing ability to see deer, rabbits, dragonflies, butterflies, birds, cranes, blue and green heron and native flowers. We sometimes see raccoons, eagle, hawk, wood peckers, coyote and fox. During the day you'll see our ducks and chickens free-ranging and our sheep may join them or be in their pasture.
We have an active homestead farm and we are focused on building a thriving environment for pollinators.
Autumn brings the honey harvest and in the spring maple syrup... you're always welcome around the fire.

We loved our night with the 3 Happy Turtles! Audrey greeted us and was so welcoming and nice. She even gave us fun recommendations for food nearby and offered to do a bonfire or movie night. So sweet! The spot by the barn is so magical, peaceful and quiet. The sunset was beautiful and just what we needed on our trip across the country!

We stayed at River Daze and had a nice, quiet getaway. The host was very friendly and helpful — he was waiting when we arrived, guided us to our spot, and even had the water and electric hookups ready to go. The property sits right on the Tobacco River, which would be great in the summer for kayaking, canoeing, or tubing. It was beautiful in the fall. There are a few walking trails, and it’s less than a half mile to town, which is super convenient. There is a porta-john close for convenience.
It felt cozy and tucked-away. Overall, it was peaceful, clean, and the host clearly puts care into making guests comfortable.

Quiet, despite a nearby road/bridge, and situated on the Tobacco River, Riverdaze offered me a private retreat while visiting friends nearby. I stayed for 3 nights with two pups and enjoyed the hospitality of the host as well as the convenience of nearby activities and restaurants. The hosts are putting work into the property, with improvements, and I'll keep it in mind if in the area again. The sites are perfect for tenters, small trailers, or those interested in boondocking with fire rings and picnic tables provided. A new treehouse and available water activities are great for families and adventurists.

The spaces to camp are great whether on river or not. Outhouses available. Host greeted us at the entrance. Amenities available soccer nets volleyball net balls included.
Access to river for kayaking. Hosts were very accommodating. Had items available when we needed. Accommodated our needs to be Have side-by-side campers. Dog friendly. Host helped with kayaking down the river by showing us location. Fun extra amenities for kids such as rope swing slide inflatable screen for movie watching. So many things we enjoyed would not hesitate to go back when we have the opportunity. Thank you!

I loved tent camping at Kristina and Kevins Land! Right on the River it truly puts you in a daze. There's a beach to hang out at and some short but nice trails. Super welcoming as having a campground runs in Kevin's blood. We will be back 🤟✌️

Audrey's place was just what we needed for a nearby event! They had a water hose for us to fill up our tank before parking next to the barn and electricity hook up available for our travel trailer. We love that they were pet-friendly so that we could bring our pup with us. The family was very friendly and kind, the sunsets are beautiful, the surrounding farm land was peaceful. I'm so happy I found this spot, Michael and Dawn are such welcoming hosts, and they have poured so much love into their land! As soon as I arrived, Michael gave me and my pup a tour of the land - the animals, the garden, the walking trails, and a small history of the ongoing efforts to restore the native Michigan plants. It's so beautiful to meet folks who are such passionate caretakers of the land they live on!
The campsite itself is a small opening of grass that is in front of their house, somewhat opposite from the driveway. Even though it's close to the house, it still felt private, as they planted young trees and wildflowers to create a natural separation from their gravel road. It was perfect for my minivan / car camping setup, and there's ample space for a slightly bigger setup to fit in comfortably.
Being less than 10 minutes away from the highway, it is surprisingly quiet out here! On a clear night, the stars shine so bright. I loved exploring the trails with my little doggy (though be mindful of poison ivy!) and spotting deer and native birds is a promise here!
I happened to stay here on the same weekend Michael and Dawn's children came home to visit - and they invited me to sit by the fire with them. They are really such a lovely family, with so many adventurous stories to tell! I really enjoyed my stay, and meeting these folks!
Bonus was the flush toilet, hot shower, and laundry available to use in the garage! Great place to reset, and enjoy good vibes! 😊
