Perfect peaceful spot to relax and shut down. We didn't really need anything but we knew April was there if we did. There are a lot of little things April leaves in the cabin in case you forget anything which is appreciated. It is decorated so cute with little lights inside which I appreciated at night. The spot is gorgeous with the sound and sights of a brook and trees. What more could you ask for? Sitting by the fire watching the moon rise and sipping coffee with the sun rise was so enjoyable. We didn't bring our dogs but will in the future. A great spot for them. You are in nature and have total peace but with the security of knowing April is right there if needed and hiking and stores are close by if you need them. Highly recommend this spot.

1 night at Pine Brook Retreat
Cutest little cabin nestled in a well loved place. The area built out for camping was so lovely and everything in the cabin was well thought out. We were unfortunately there during a burn ban but there was a lovely propane fire we were able to use and it was perfect. Listening to the creek while drinking my morning coffee was so so perfect.

Justine was a phenomenal host. I️ could not have asked for a more relaxed experience or environment. Better than what I️ had intended. The cabin was clean, cozy and full of characters. Justine greeted us with warmth and hospitality upon arrival. She was also quick to help us when needing anything. Also I️ would like to thank you for being welcoming to our dog, Sage. I’m so grateful she was able to join us on such a lovely experience.

This was a wonderful and peaceful space in the city - Jae was so welcoming and helpful and the space was so cozy and beautiful. Sunshine, leaves changing color, the early morning sunshine…just absolutely wonderful. We’d certainly stay again!

What a lovely place Danielle has. We thankfully were able to meet her in person this morning. The yard and woods were peaceful and filled with birds. She opened her lovely home to us and it was wonderful to sit in the living room in a morning sunbeam and do some work. Convenient location to friends and family in nearby towns. We hope to return if in the area again.

Weekend Trip to Peaceful Convenience
We weren't arriving early enough to pitch a tent but it was so convenient to stay at Danielle's. We weren't able to meet her as we arrived around 9 pm & she had already gone to bed. but she left lights on for us and gave us instructions for how to utilize the space. We were comfortable and slept well. Would definitely return in the future when passing through. She was easy to sign up with last minute as well (this was a last minute trip), so we appreciated that too.

Danielle's Hip Camp is a great option if you want to either stay inside a home with conveniences, or to camp in a private yard. Very quiet! Danielle is accommodating, and the house is comfortable.

Group trip
We rented a Jayco camper that made our stay easy and more comfortable. It was right on the river- we enjoyed waking up and watching the ducks go by. We spent a ton of time outside, grilling, having fires and spending time/ laughing with friends. Lots of things locally to do as well. We went apple picking and to the local fair! We got some time kayaking in the river too which was peaceful. It was a nice, quiet getaway, and the owners are lovely people. Be prepared with all your own camping gear. Though the camper was very comfortable, we were lucky we had everything we needed. You will need all your own kitchen gear: a grill, pots/pans, plates, mixing bowls, etc. We would def come back, especially since it's only 1.15hr from home. Thanks for a nice stay.

We loved the Suncook River Camp and staying in the blue Avalon vintage camper. The camper was perfect with its vintage charm and comfortable bed. The site on the Suncook River was great. Our 7yo daughter loved the clean pool, the outdoor movie night, and fishing/canoeing/tubing in the river all weekend. We caught some nice yellow perch on nightcrawlers.
The campground was large enough to have amazing amenities (Hot tubs and sauna opening soon) but not overcrowded. The hosts were very responsive to requests such as firewood orders. Great trip overall!

Weekend Trip to Magpie and Jaebird's Little A-frame
This site is a dream. Jae will send you a list of nearby attractions to visit but you will not at all want to leave the magic of the A-frame. The spot is perfectly secluded, simultaneously buried in the woods and full of sunlight, quiet and clean — it was the most rejuvenating weekend escape from the city (my partner and I both slept better than we have in a long time!) The citronella torches kept the mosquitos away, the toilet was easy and clean, and Jae gives you everything you might need (toilet paper, camp stove, water for drinking, water for washing, etc). Will be recommending this site to all of my friends!! Thank you Jae!

Weekend Trip to Peaceful Convenience
Danielle went above and beyond welcoming me into her home. As a first time HipCamp-er coming from upstate NY on a through-trip to Salem, Danielle was not only a wealth of knowledge and information about the city itself but was able to accommodate my late arrival time and departure as well. I will be staying here again. Danielle set the bar up high for my future HipCamp experiences!

My husband and I had a wonderful and relaxing time in the Pink Lark camper at Suncook River Campground! It was the cutest little get away, and the staff were so nice and helpful with anything we needed. We will definitely be returning to try out some of the vintage campers, buses, and dome tents!

Our stay was the perfect reset and refresh we needed! The A frame was super cozy and had all the essentials and then some. It was the perfect mix of peaceful seclusion while still being just a short walk or drive from anything we needed. Jae was a great host, giving us complete privacy but remaining reachable if anything came up. Couldn’t have asked for a better spot.

Weekend Trip to Pine Brook Retreat
What a perfectly wonderful, private, peaceful site surrounded almost completely by the shade of tall pines and maple trees with a nearby babbling brook. Nothing fancy, simplicity is exactly what I was looking for and I wasn’t disappointed. True camping feel without dealing with a tent! The A frame is super cozy and the two comfy air mattresses were clean and made up with fresh sheets, spreads and extra blankets. Thoughtful touches included bug spray, small lantern, games, percolator (and mini coffee pouches), twinkling lights and other basic essentials such as mugs, plates, pan, axe, oven mitts. The fire pit was already set up with kindling plus a large bin full of assorted sizes of wood close by. Fresh water was always available and refilled at my request but I honestly never even had to ask. :)
The rechargeable fan was a lifesaver as it was extremely hot and humid during my stay. It was perhaps my favorite camping “luxury” of all!
April is an awesome host, very responsive to your needs. I loved her way of making me feel alone, yet not. Communication and instructions were easy, and she brought a lot of my stuff up from the camp to my car with her ATV. Another lifesaver! I’m on the older side, my body is nothing what it used to be and her help was IMMENSELY APPRECIATED.
This was my very first experience with Hipcamp and I am extremely happy with my stay. Will definitely be booking again!

The best Hipcamp experience to date! Everything was perfectly as described and more. There were three of us staying and I completely expected to just sleep on the floor but there was a cot set up for me next to the bed when we got there! We had everything we needed — water, lights, fans, mosquito netting, a bathroom! Everything was thought of and provided. The hosts were welcoming and incredible. Could not recommend staying here more and would, without a doubt, stay again!
