Canoes, jon boat and kayaks available. Land first patented 1650 then by Lt. Nicholas Spencer 1665, secretary and president of Jamestown in 1683 and later governor. The abundance of large mature trees and their canopy help keep the area cool even on the hottest days. There are hiking trails available onsite and many more available at local parks/public grounds.
