Wildlife abounds, including deer, small mammals, and geese. Bald eagles and Heron even take a pond dip periodically. Woodland trails are accessible and new tree plantings can be observed. We welcome RVs under 30'. It will be too hilly for anything longer. (Be aware: inclement weather is not your friend here if your vehicle can't handle potentially slippery conditions.) Enjoy the following activities: Mountain biking, pedal onlyPond fishing. (Sorry, no swimming in the pond; but an "An open to the public", private pool is 13 miles/20min. As is the Y. Lawn games and a fire pit are available. So are the stars at night; cloud permitting. Consider the free star gazing app, SkyView Lite, even in the day and under clouds. Don't miss our stunning sunsets at the "Red Door," our entrance. Historical towns within 10 miles any direction are reached over rolling countryside. Gettysburg is less than 20 miles. Baltimore is less than an hours ride by open highway. Blue Ridge mountains 18 miles. Taneytown, 1836, has an extraordinary antique store that is a delight to browse; as well as fine dining, drive through, an open air beer garden and close by grocery stores. Homemade ice cream is found at Baugher's and Hoffmans in Westminster. Baugher's Orchard has "pick your own" available. There is a mini farm animal petting zoo at the orchard. Additional things to see: Boating in Carroll County Maryland. Local wineries Ski Liberty Carroll is a full service county whatever your needs. Check out carrollcountytourism.org to learn more No lions, tigers, and Oh my! However, be aware that small critters may try to steal your food. No recent bear sightings. Geese visit occasionally. You can hike, bike, climb, and swim at 2 or more of these locations. Tucked Away Acres is just that, we are tucked away behind other houses. The property backs up to power lines where deer can be seen often. We offer a large fire pit, horse shoe pit, small playground, trampoline, swings, and a small zip line over the creek in the woods. Horseback riding is available on certain weekends only (weight limit of 180 lbs) for an extra charge. Type of riding depends on skill level, leadline to guided trail ride. Our experience with this farm was a bit different than most people’s stays, as we’re an organization that supported a family in need by placing our transitional housing camper here for 28 days. From the moment we arrived, Seth and Stephanie were incredibly warm and welcoming, giving the family the space and grace they needed to heal and transition during a difficult time. The farm was absolutely the perfect setting for this season of life. The open fields and natural views provided a peaceful, restorative environment that you simply can’t find in more traditional settings. There’s something deeply healing about being surrounded by nature and wide-open spaces. The kids were entertained watching the chickens, geese, turkeys, and sheep wandering about the property. These simple joys made such a meaningful difference during their stay and created sweet memories during a challenging transition. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone traveling through the area, but also to locals who want a new taste of their own community. This farm offered our family something truly special - a safe harbor and a chance to experience beauty and peace during a time they needed it most. Seth and Stephanie’s kindness and the tranquil setting made all the difference. Thank you for opening your property to families like ours!

Tent camping @ Hipville was excellent. The area was well maintained with many paths cutting across the property. The water level was a bit low for effective fishing, but we dropped some lines anyway. There was very limited prepared wood available when we arrived, and we needed to acquire more in the morning (not a difficult prospect).

This is a glorious, pristine farm w/ complete privacy & seclusion. I was the ONLY camper during my 2 nite stay. Peggy came out of her house to kindly greet me, then left me alone to pick anywhere on her 8 acres i wanted to set up. Nothing was off limits. Was in a yurt w/ 2 dogs they ran around like they owned the place. She was always avail however. Just a text, phone call away or even a holler up the hill. She had a huge burn pile ready for me to use but it was too windy & I set my tent up too close-so no campfire-boo my bad! Property consists mostly corn fields, a lovely pond, a barn & hog house. Lots of green mowed grass. Not totally level (somewhat hilly) but flat enough to set up camp. Lovely willow, maple, locust & walnut trees. The sun set over the pond in a blaze of color. Barn swallows graze the pond & a ground hogs munch dinner. Deer if you're lucky. Bring binoculars! There were ZERO mosquitos. I loved that Peggy was attune to my needs & happy to help without being nosy/overbearing. I felt a real kinship as she runs the place by herself & it's absolutely perfect. She's the real deal-a true blue hard-working farm woman. Empty Cupboard Farm is only a few minutes from all the shopping you'll need but private enough you can't hear a sound at night but cows, owls & crickets. At the top of farm is the infamous Red Door & tons of chestnuts to roast. Its very easy to find, very easy access in. Run, dont walk to EMPTY Cupboard Farm for a FULL renewing spiritual experience.

Weekend Trip to Redemption Springs Farm
Spent the weekend camping at the Main Barn at Redemption Springs Farm and what a unique experience it was. This is a working farm with healthy sustainable and natural farming methods. There are a lot of chickens, ducks and turkeys on this farm, with a couple of chatty geese and a sheep. Seth greeted us and he and his family could not have been more welcoming. It's a working farm so you could see them out and about caring for the animals or helping people at their farm store they run (really good food available for purchase, made sure to load up before leaving, plus you don't need to bring everything with you). Seth took time out to talk to us about their farming methods, the heritage breeds they have selected and raised and what goes into the produce they sell. It's a lot of fun watching the birds wandering around the farm as they are completely free range. They'll come near your campsite but will leave you alone but have no fear of humans so you can really watch them up close. The farm is very pretty, good camp site behind the barn, there is electricity, you can use a hose pipe for water if you need it, or use their natural spring water. There's wood for sale, eggs so fresh because they were laid that morning and so on. The location is only a few minutes from Westminster if you need city type things, but you can't tell out on the farm, you feel like you're way out in the country, no traffic noise or anything. It was a very relaxing place to stay, will definitely return!

This was a perfect overnight weekend for the grands and us. Only an hour from DC we slept under the stars in the pasture where heritage chickens, turkeys and ducks freely roam. We ate delicious eggs and sourdough bread from their farm. Don’t miss getting tickets for the farm tour. Seth is a perfect host farmer!

Excellent place with a lovely creek for fishing and Hooper the friendly dog and his human Ben visited to make sure all was well. Loved all the walking trails and stream fishing. Our dogs had a blast too!

4 nights at Redemption Springs Farm
This was a very peaceful place to stay. The 20 amp power suited our needs just fine. The little store on site had super fresh milk by the gallon and great snacks and treats for our dog and tons of meat options to purchase. Seth and his beautiful wife Stephanie were delightful and they have a little boy who was beyond adorable. Added bonus: There’s a sheep that wanders around who thinks he’s a dog. His name is Aiden. He loves head scratches.

Weekend Trip to Fiddlers Green Farm
We had a great stay at Fiddlers Green Farm on the Hipville campsite. The site was private, spacious, shaded, and right along the creek…perfect for relaxing and exploring. Our kids loved wandering the trails and exploring the property. They spotted blue herons, heard the resident owl, and had plenty of space to roam. One of the biggest highlights was Hopper, their sweet dog, who visited often and even acted as our trail guide. The portapotty was clean and well stocked and Ben was a friendly, responsive host. The kids are already asking when we’ll be back—highly recommend!

Our little family of 5 had the most amazing 6 nights of camping at this slice of paradise! We have 3 sons, 1 6 and 8- it was the perfect setting for them to feel free and safe! What an incredible spot, the campsite is large so there’s plenty of room to spread out your gear and the creek was the best bonus! The campfire was my favorite part, Kenny’s market has plenty of wood to stock up on! Trust me, this one won’t disappoint!

We apologize in advance that some normal things are removed completely like printed house manuals. We ask that you remove all trash and a few other things upon departing to help us stay safe as well.The internet cannot be guaranteed if there is a problem with the provider. In a wooded area bugs are normal. Loud noise or Guest not on the reservation will result in immediate termination and removal. We have a zero tolerance policy.
