I accept travelers between 4 and 9 pm but like all of us schedules fluctuate and we can roll some. There's a strong chance on an average Maine clear summer evening, I have the campfire going and the solar lights around the yard are charged for their evening gentle show. All of the spaces I rent are bedrooms only. You walk a few steps/yards to my 5 bedroom home and access two showers and some kitchen use. I also have an outdoor shower and outdoor kitchen that is cute and for your use. It's fun to cook on the fire too! I prefer folks to limit cooking esp in hot weather but support healthier eating and may share some of my foraging tips. The rooms are equipped with plenty of linens and fan power. You will be cozy either way the temps go. There is a lovely porch on the log home where you can sit and enjoy the sunset and lots of wildlife activity. The back yard has tether ball and lots of seating as well as the good sized fire pit with ghosts of hundreds of fireside chats gone by. I look forward to ours! Next door there is a gravel road on a lightly traveled road for your walking or biking pleasure. I am happy to join you in a hilly roller coaster cycling experience and have a few bikes to offer up. I am a WWOOF host and have occasional "helpers" and you are welcome to explore my veggie and flower gardens. This host loves board games and crafts so is often ready to share either or both with guests. There are 150 acres around me that are wooded and pathed so your pup will love it too. Our guests are welcome to kayak, canoe, swim, fish, and paddle board from the shores of The Queen’s Property, or one of 5 Right of Ways on Watkins Shores Road owned by our Association. Access to your private waterfront is a short stroll through our woods. As our guest staying at The Queen's Property, you will also have free access to the Watkins Shores Road Association's boat launch. The boat launch is just a two or three minute walk down the road from your site. Our new dock is available to dock your boat during the day.. LOCAL ATTRACTIONS NEAR CAMP Within 5 minutes of camp, you will find all the essentials, including food items, ice, firewood, goodies, gas, and RV supplies. In fact, you can even order your groceries online for pickup, (free at Hannaford Brothers Grocery and Walmart) either on your way to your campsite or when you need to resupply your camp (we would be happy to give you the details). During your stay, you may also want to take a trip off-site to explore all that the Lakes Region offers. Explore the historic oceanfront City of Portland, or the local Towns of Windham, Naples, or Bridgton. Portland is a 35 minute drive from The Queen's Property. The coastline around Portland is rugged and attractive with world-famous lighthouses dotted along its shorelines. Numerous locally owned shops and nationally recognized restaurants can be found tucked into its many harbors and shorelines. Closer to camp, enjoy strolling through the Town of Naples. Sebago Lake is a deep glacial lake, and by itself is 44 square miles of clear waters that abut Sebago Lake State Park. Fort William Henry is also nearby (a 10 minute drive). Kayak/canoe rentals are available at Bristol Mills and at the site containing Fort William Henry. There is a hiking trail, about a mile long, from the cabin that gives you direct access to the ocean and nearby LaVerna Nature Preserve, a spectacular preserve with sweeping views to the open ocean and unique geologic features. Thank you for a lovely stay! Ken and Marley made us feel so welcomed the moment we arrived on the property that it felt like we were greeting and old friend. They even delivered our ice and firewood right to our site. Our pup Mabel had the time of her life tunning and playing in the field, although a bit too much at times, tossing all obedience out the window and inviting herself into the barn, where she was greeted with laughter and a few pats from fellow campers. All was forgiven immediately and it was was a beautiful night to sit by the fire under the most amazing view of the stars! Such a peaceful place to be that Mabel, stubborn as ever, laid down limp in protest when it was time to leave!

I was not able to get to Ken and Jen's after booking due to issues. But they were so very kind and amenable to my needs. I've done a lot of Hipcamping and I appreciate kinds folks with nice accommodations and good hearts. Check them out. The little camper trailer looks lovely and added amenities for cooking and water and shower is a bonus.
