Dirt roads abound with off-grid tiny shelters amongst the pines and poplars (available as rentals). Zero utilities. Carry in, Carry out. Leave no trace. :-) Canoes/Kayaks/floats available, with or without shuttle service, or guided tour options. FREE fire wood. Hammocks, yardgames available. There are neighboring 10 acre lots on either side, and a campground with utilities across the river if that is more your style. Their name is 'On the Saco Family Campground'. 2 nights at Sweet Fern Retreat

Sweet Fern Cabin was the perfect retreat. It was a beautiful mix of outdoors and coziness. A great place for bird watching and relaxing. The outdoor fire pit is a dream! It’s right on a hill next to the water and made for one of the most beautiful campfires I’ve experienced. Overall a fantastic stay, I will definitely be going back!
