We had a wonderful stay at Sun Retreats Wild Acres! Check in was smooth and hassle free, and the staff were so friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The cabin itself was spotless, comfortable, and very relaxing. The location couldn’t be better, just minutes from the beach. We would definitely recommend staying here and are already looking forward to coming back!

We had such a wonderful stay at Iris Meadow Farm! Cheryl and Michael are kind, welcoming hosts and their property is so peaceful. We especially enjoyed visiting with them during our stay. We’re extra grateful for their help during our chaotic morning when our little dog decided to make a break for it through the pastures and backyard—they were so understanding and helpful! Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a quiet, beautiful getaway. We’d happily stay again. 🌿🐾
And check out their sweet little farm store! We left with some treasures and ate some of the farm fresh vegetables with dinner!

Campsite was the perfect size, nice and level for our tent. Good location. Having water and electricity at the site was much appreciated. Public toilets were easy to find and clean. We felt safe. Only downside was the intermittent noise from the farm buildings across the way, but it didn’t disturb our sleep.

Such a wonderful stay at Cheryl and Michael’s farm! The property is peaceful and charming, with a sweet little farm stand stocked with seasonal goodies. Cheryl and Michael were lovely hosts—welcoming, kind, and attentive. They even went above and beyond by lending us a small dog pool so I could give my pup a much-needed bath! A great spot with warm hospitality—I’d absolutely stay here again.

Dan’s campsite is hands down one of the best camping experiences we’ve ever had! From making the reservation to the moment we arrived, everything about our stay was seamless and stress-free. He stayed close in contact, responded immediately to any questions we had and offered thoughtful recommendations for places to explore nearby. His communication was top-notch and made us feel well taken care of!
The site itself was immaculate, spacious, and surrounded by beautiful scenery that makes you instantly relax. Whether you’re pitching a tent or parking a camper, Dan has clearly put so much thought and care into creating a space that balances rustic charm with comfort, making it feel welcoming and accessible.
We loved the firepit area and the fact that Dan offers a wheelbarrow of firewood that he cuts himself for just $10 via Venmo! It was such a great deal, super convenient to have right at our site, and it lasted us the entire two-night stay. There are also beautiful lakes and walking trails nearby, and Dan provided easy-to-follow instructions on how to access them. Bonus: his neighbors were just as friendly and kind, making sure we were all set and felt welcomed.
What really sets this place apart is Dan himself. He’s responsive, clear with giving directions, and goes above and beyond to make sure guests have everything they need. We can tell he truly loves hosting and sharing his land—it shows in every detail! Truly a hidden gem! We can’t wait to return! Thank you, Dan! 😊

A great little spot on the way up to Acadia and near to Kennebunkport. Everything you need to shop for is about a 10 minute drive away (grocery stores, Target, Home Depot etc) but you feel like you're n the middle of the country. Spacious spot next to the green house and barn. Super friendly animals too! Definitely check out Cheryl's garden it is amazing.
Our stay was too short and too chore filled to do any sightseeing or to enjoy the amazing property. Be sure to take more time than we could!

The site is pristine. It is great for car camping, which I did, and I'm sure would be great for tent camping. There are two gravel-covered levels (small gravel) separated by an ~2 foot slope with medium-sized rocks (a 4WD could traverse the slope). Tent stakes for my privacy shelter were easy to tap in, held well during medium winds, and were also easily removed manually (there is dirt under the gravel, which is good for holding stakes). The site is surrounded on three sides by woods and the fourth by an old road, but it is literally at the end of the road (so you don't have to worry about vehicular traffic). It is quite lush in the Spring with dense foliage, very quiet and you can see just one other campsite through the dense trees, but just barely (it is hundreds of feet away). The site is very private and I slept like a baby. Dan was responsive in messaging and rode by on his mountain bike late in the morning (clearly going somewhere) and slowed down to say hello and confirm everything was good: "Perfect", I responded, which it was. I'll be back!
