Haymark Farm is a 285-acre farm in Ewing, KY, where alfalfa hay is produced. The farm has picturesque ridges and hills at one of the highest elevations in the area, allowing spectacular sunrise and sunset views. Three different branches of Buchanan creek begin on the farm and run together on the back of the property. There are also two small ponds and several barns (including one for your horses) on the property.

You are welcome to explore our farm! Take a hike; fish (bring your own pole and supplies); or relax around the campfire (we'll supply the wood). We generally have cattle in our pastures; and we also want you to meet our small, friendly farm animals! We hope you enjoy your time here at Haymark Farm, where Mark's great-grandfather Rufus began farming more than a hundred years ago.
*Call us if you are bringing horses (up to 6) for details and pricing. We have also hosted donkeys, mules, goats...whatcha got? (We sell award-winning hay.)
*We are one mile from Handi-mart grocery/gas in Ewing, and 10 miles to Flemingsburg, with restaurants. Don't miss the famous covered bridges, especially Goddard Bridge, and the Dinner Bell Amish store in Flemingsburg. We are 8 miles to Blue Licks State Park, 15 miles to historic Old Washington (have breakfast at Lil Jumbo's and shop at Local 68); 20 miles to charming Maysville on the Ohio River (good eats and important history); and 50 miles to Lexington (with The Kentucky Horse Park nearby).

Definitely a beautiful piece of property overlooking beautiful Kentucky landscape. Very remote, providing a quiet place to stay. The hosts also offered good flexibility with my travel plans and were very attentive and helpful. Overall a great stay.

First off - The family is so wonderful and helpful.
Second - The views are so worth the drive.
Third - My dog loved being off the leash. Plenty of new smells.
Fourth - I wish it had not been so cold and I had more time to take advantage of the pond.
Great place that I would recommend to all.

What a great place!
Doesn’t show its glory until you go around the barn to park/hook up, then wow! Rolling hills. Horses. Pounds with ducks. Beautiful.
Best sunrise in a long time.
AND:
Driving up -go slow and take the third gate just like she says. Do NOT go too far -it is a long, winding, hilly, narrow road to get back (took an hour in the dark, dark, dark night).
So glad we found this place!

I had a great experience. I stayed at Holmes Hideaway site and it was beautiful - on the river with seclusion, fire pits, and plenty of tree cover. I went in mid-november and it was not crowded. Everything done through the app and I was left alone. It was a fun weekend.

Clean quiet and family friendly. Open areas and the river await adventure by all ages. Roving herd of sheep goats, donkey and mini horse add to the whimsy. Steve and his son Bradley are excellent hosts and I will return.

Cool spot a short way down a windy road, and at the bottom you reach the campground. We were able to let our dogs run free with us while the goats were away at work, very fun. Peaceful and quiet, super clean toilet, and great place for kids.

This is our favorite campsite! Views and privacy are incredible. Sunsets and star gazing galore. Our dogs love it. Great hookup, good water and pressure. Good communication with host. We will be back again in 2026.

We ended up at Still Water’s on accident after having a blowout on one of our camper tires and changing it on side of the interstate in the dark! This was the closest campsite we could get to. It was dark when we arrived, but we were able to book a site online and get some good rest after a stressful night. The next morning we saw the beautiful spot by the creek and met Tracy, the campground manager. She was extremely kind and helpful, and even offered us a spare tire. We ended up staying another night just to relax and enjoy the peaceful setting.

We had a relaxing and enjoyable night in Oakie Dokie. The tents site are very large and private. The "petting zoo" was an interesting neighbor, along with the free range pony aka Little Sebastian".

It was very clean and upbeat. Steve puts alot of pride in his land. The sites are huge and most are VERY shaded. Our first night there a stray cat took our steak while we went for a walk in North field. She then came back everyday and became our camp kitty. We named her Steak. If your worried like I was about the farm animals coming to your site Steve teys very hard to keep them out of the main part of camp. I talked with Steve for a good hour very nice guy. See ya next year Steve (LOUDER THAN LIFE 2025)
