Learn more about this land: I live on 5.5 acres. It's peaceful and quiet and I love it here. I've stayed at other hip camps and simply decided that I would love to share my little slice of heaven with others passing through my area.  Notes: there is a wee bit of road noise, I live on a dead end road, there are 10 acres between my 5 acres and the Blue Grass Parkway.  I find it peaceful here and can easily ignore it but I'm mentioning it so your not surprised by it  ;)  The Neighbors dog may come visit while you are here but is very nice and leaves if you tell him to :) You are welcome to hang a hammock in a small section of woods, by a small pond, or even on my covered porch. You are welcome to pitch a tent anywhere you like. You are welcome to park an RV or vehicle in the drive.  The drive is about 250ft long, you would need to back in in order to hook up to the 50 amp plug. RV's can use the 50 amp plug (30 amp will need an adapter. I have one you can use if you don't own one of your own) and hose for water. I have an outdoor shower and a camping toilet. I am ... - one hour from Lexington, Louisville, Elizabethtown, and Frankfort.- 1 mile from a mini mart with Gas, Ice, Pizza, Chicken Wings, Sandwiches, ect.- 6 miles from Dollar General and A pizza Restaurant - 15 ish miles from Wal-mart and other chain stores and restaurants I'm a great travel guide so feel free to tell me what your in town for or things you like to do. I will happily make you up a list of things to do and see and places to eat. Keenland, Churchill Downs, The Bourbon Tour (Jim Beam, Makers Mark, Heaven Hill, and many others) are within an hour of here. Also within an hour are 2 great bike paths, wonderful hiking and kayaking. As well as Great Shopping and Restaurants. Anything your heart desires. Using GPS Directions i would suggest avoiding Tunnel Mill Rd and Murphy Lane if towing a camper or driving an RV.

Due to the sharp entrance from the road to the driveway, we CANNOT accept rigs over 34' long. We cannot accept 5th wheels (due to height) because of some lower hanging tree branches along the driveway. WE DO NOT ACCEPT LONG TERM STAYS! This land has previously been a tobacco farm, a hay farm, and is now home to a few beef cattle. We have blazed trails through the woods for hiking, created campsites with fire rings, farmed hay, and grown various vegetables for self-consumption. We love the proximity of the farm to town, yet the seclusion we feel when we are on the farm.

A 4WD vehicle will be necessary for anyone pulling an RV as we have had at least one guest get stuck halfway up the hill when exiting with a two-wheeled truck with a V8 engine pulling a small RV. In addition, you will likely need a brake-control system installed for coming down the hill. Front-wheel drive vehicles with high clearance should be satisfactory to cross the bridge and exit the steep hill as long as you are not pulling an RV. HomeGrown HideAways is a farm, lodging, and event facility nestled in a hundred-acre holler in the Appalachian foothills near Berea, Ky. Our lodging features treehouses, yurts, a bunkhouse, retro camper, water/electric hook-ups, and campsites. We also host weddings, retreats, and other events so advance reservations are required. For insurance purposes and the safety of our own livestock and pets, we do not allow guests to bring their pets/ESAs onto the property. Prepare to UNPLUG as we do not have cell service or wifi (there IS a landline for guests to make phone calls located in the Community Farmhouse). The farm has a small playground, yard games, creeks, and a steep and rugged hiking trail that loops the mountain. We're also just 8 miles from the hiking trails at the Berea College Pinnacles, 8 miles to Owsley Fork Reservoir, 20 minutes to Anglin Falls, 12 miles to Berea, 35 minutes to Richmond, Ky, and a scenic hour to Red River Gorge. For other activities, restaurants, shopping, music, and more, we're happy to share our favorites, but highly recommend checking out the Berea Tourism website.

This site was such a treat! The covered spot was very spacious and the bathroom was very clean. They trully though of everything. There was two hammocks, a swing, a line with two dog chains attatched, and even some board games to play. We will certainly stat at thos area again in the future!

We selected Cozy Camp as our first trip of the season - to get some much needed rest with all the comforts of home. The covered structure was a plus, having sewer is always an added bonus along with the extra bathroom! But the best thing about it all was the quiet, beautiful scenery! The trip was relaxing and out dogs loved the dog run!! We will definitely be back!!

The site was beautiful, peaceful, clean and had everything you need to relax and unwind. We Never saw a car or person the entire stay but felt very safe in the area. Access to the clean bathroom was wonderful as well. The hammocks were a great touch!

It's a funky little campground with a lot of fun little details (the rebar robot lights are great!). It was a quick trip for us to do some hiking so we didn't get to see much of the place but we would definitely stay here again. Clean, level sites of well drained gravel, steady power, and consistent water pressure.

Beautiful property! My husband and I brought our two dogs for a peaceful weekend in our travel trailer. The location had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed several hiking trails in the area, grilled delicious meals under the large shelter, and relaxed by the fire with a perfect view of the stars. This location exceeded our expectations and the onsite bathroom was a bonus! We highly recommend this spot and will be back next fall!

I just got back from a 3 night stay at Savys Retreat and I’m already planning my next trip. It’s in a beautiful part of Kentucky, especially in the fall. The property sits down a dead end road, single lane but well maintained, and it’s one of the last places out there so it’s quiet, private, and peaceful. Everything about the site is well thought out and taken care of. You can tell the owners take pride in it. The setup felt more like an RV resort than a campsite, plenty of space, clean, and everything you could need. I spent my evenings sitting by the fire watching the sunset, then stayed out until the stars came out. Hard to beat that. The hosts were quick to respond, friendly, and made sure everything was just right. If you’re looking for a relaxing, private spot to unwind, this is it.
