Please read the site descriptions carefully to match your style of camping with the appropriate campsite. BBA guests frequently camp with a tent, vehicle, smaller camper, hammock tent, roof top tent, pop-up camper and similar styles. Most photos in this listing are taken onsite. Please keep in mind this is primitive and wild Tennessee landscape that may also contain poisonous plants and wildlife in or around camp.
Access to fresh water fun is a short down-hill hike for all guests, with the exception of our hike-in campsites which are positioned alongside the river. Each spot has been strategically selected to provide as much privacy as possible, and comfortably accommodates groups with two vehicles. We provide a rock fire pit and heavy-duty, cast-iron grill grate. You provide everything else, including drinking water and personal toilet waste bags if you plan to use our system. The hike-in sites come with extra seating. Every guest must be included on your reservation, and adult guests may be required to provide identification. Thank you!
COMMUNITY COMFORT STATION: There is a comfort station with an outdoor shower stall for hanging your own solar shower bag. The comfort station also includes a changing room which doubles as a private place to use your portable camping toilet. A toilet seat and bucket system is provided but guests will need to use their own waste disposal bags, available at most camping supply stores. The backside of the comfort station has a rain barrel (not potable) collection system for extinguishing fires.
OFF-ROAD CONDITIONS: Due to the primitive nature of our location, all reservations should expect hilly terrain and potential bumpy or some muddy road access, especially after heavy rain. We ask all guests to help us minimize impacts by driving with care. Vehicles with low ground clearance or low-profile tires are no longer permitted to use the off-road drive and must park at the entrance. If you want a campsite with the shortest walk from the entrance parking area, you will want to select campsite 5, 9 or 6. When the road is open during unusually wet periods, we recommend AWD or 4WD as a precaution. We are continuously working on improvements for our off-road drive.
Belle and Beau Acres is a farm homestead with a personal campground, conveniently located less than five minutes from I40. Expect nothing short of 360 degree views of relaxing nature, privacy, and spontaneous adventure when recreating at this agritourism location. Central to the most beautiful middle Tennessee destinations, BBA is the perfect home base for hiking, biking, kayaking, and fishing excursions to at least 10 nearby state parks and lakes. Conveniently located on the Eastern Highland Rim between Nashville, Knoxville and Chattanooga in the lower Appalachian mountains, this area sits at the Upper Cumberland Plateau and is part of Tennessee's largest micropolitan area of Cookeville. Clayton Geneva Camp Ground began as a retreat for our family since the 70's. My grandparents, Donald Clayton Russell & Jewel Geneva (Davis) Russell, purchased this little piece of heaven to get away from the hustle and bustle of Cincinnati life. Judy was born in a little cabin just down the road. Judy & Don along with many family members have made cherished memories here over the years. We want to share its beauty with you and your family.
Please consider, Clayton Geneva is a primitive campground, gravel drives and left as natural as possible. This is not a sculpted campsite or a concrete campground. The primitive area is as such, gravel, grass, sand terrain accessible by a one lane gravel drive that leads over the hill and around the cliff to the riverbank. This drive is absolutely passable however is left bumpy to keep traffic at a safe speed as pedestrians also walk the drive. It is passable by any vehicle as long as the vehicle is not overloaded beyond its ability and/or has an extremely low profile.
Any area that is not an actual campsite is left to nature, not manicured, trimmed or sculpted. As you’ll find all the sites are clear please don’t expect micromanaging of wild growth of our native plants in areas around the sites as we reserve those areas for the wildlife to enjoy.
Please consider all the above mentioned details, primitive campsites are not for everyone and that’s ok.

One of the oldest original homesteads in the area, for nearly 150 years this gem has been in the family. We have shared it with many people over the years and would love to share it with you!

Please read the site descriptions carefully to match your style of camping with the appropriate campsite. BBA guests frequently camp with a tent, vehicle, smaller camper, hammock tent, roof top tent, pop-up camper and similar styles. Most photos in this listing are taken onsite. Please keep in mind this is primitive and wild Tennessee landscape that may also contain poisonous plants and wildlife in or around camp.
Access to fresh water fun is a short down-hill hike for all guests, with the exception of our hike-in campsites which are positioned alongside the river. Each spot has been strategically selected to provide as much privacy as possible, and comfortably accommodates groups with two vehicles. We provide a rock fire pit and heavy-duty, cast-iron grill grate. You provide everything else, including drinking water and personal toilet waste bags if you plan to use our system. The hike-in sites come with extra seating. Every guest must be included on your reservation, and adult guests may be required to provide identification. Thank you!
COMMUNITY COMFORT STATION: There is a comfort station with an outdoor shower stall for hanging your own solar shower bag. The comfort station also includes a changing room which doubles as a private place to use your portable camping toilet. A toilet seat and bucket system is provided but guests will need to use their own waste disposal bags, available at most camping supply stores. The backside of the comfort station has a rain barrel (not potable) collection system for extinguishing fires.
OFF-ROAD CONDITIONS: Due to the primitive nature of our location, all reservations should expect hilly terrain and potential bumpy or some muddy road access, especially after heavy rain. We ask all guests to help us minimize impacts by driving with care. Vehicles with low ground clearance or low-profile tires are no longer permitted to use the off-road drive and must park at the entrance. If you want a campsite with the shortest walk from the entrance parking area, you will want to select campsite 5, 9 or 6. When the road is open during unusually wet periods, we recommend AWD or 4WD as a precaution. We are continuously working on improvements for our off-road drive.
Belle and Beau Acres is a farm homestead with a personal campground, conveniently located less than five minutes from I40. Expect nothing short of 360 degree views of relaxing nature, privacy, and spontaneous adventure when recreating at this agritourism location. Central to the most beautiful middle Tennessee destinations, BBA is the perfect home base for hiking, biking, kayaking, and fishing excursions to at least 10 nearby state parks and lakes. Conveniently located on the Eastern Highland Rim between Nashville, Knoxville and Chattanooga in the lower Appalachian mountains, this area sits at the Upper Cumberland Plateau and is part of Tennessee's largest micropolitan area of Cookeville. Clayton Geneva Camp Ground began as a retreat for our family since the 70's. My grandparents, Donald Clayton Russell & Jewel Geneva (Davis) Russell, purchased this little piece of heaven to get away from the hustle and bustle of Cincinnati life. Judy was born in a little cabin just down the road. Judy & Don along with many family members have made cherished memories here over the years. We want to share its beauty with you and your family.
Please consider, Clayton Geneva is a primitive campground, gravel drives and left as natural as possible. This is not a sculpted campsite or a concrete campground. The primitive area is as such, gravel, grass, sand terrain accessible by a one lane gravel drive that leads over the hill and around the cliff to the riverbank. This drive is absolutely passable however is left bumpy to keep traffic at a safe speed as pedestrians also walk the drive. It is passable by any vehicle as long as the vehicle is not overloaded beyond its ability and/or has an extremely low profile.
Any area that is not an actual campsite is left to nature, not manicured, trimmed or sculpted. As you’ll find all the sites are clear please don’t expect micromanaging of wild growth of our native plants in areas around the sites as we reserve those areas for the wildlife to enjoy.
Please consider all the above mentioned details, primitive campsites are not for everyone and that’s ok.

We camped for 13 days. I would recommend Mrs. Amber and her staff a hundred times over. Herself and her staff Ms. Abbey and Mr. Payten are amazing people. First our battery died and Mrs Amber had stepped away from the site So while she was away she contacted Ms. Abby at her other job ,to come and jump us . When Ms. Abby arrived it was astonishing to see a well round and grounded 18 yr old these days who would leave there job just to give someone a jump. Thanks again Ms Abby. The bathroom was warm showers were hot yes hot in the winter months. We stayed with Mrs. Amber 13 days beautiful sight even when it rained I got in 2 days of fishing the best time ever. If you don't go see Mrs Amber and her staff You would miss out on a lot canoeing, honey, you name it Mrs. Amber has including but not limited to amazing and friendly neighbors we even took long walks. Compassionate, polite, respectful. You get all the bells and whistles with this camp grounds They treat like a human being and not like $$$$ dollar signs. She has electric cabins and wagons, RV hookups We can't say enough about This site Other than. CAMP, RV OR GLAMP HERE YOU WON'T REGRET YOUR CHOICE OH YES SHE HAS FRESH MEAT,,EGGS AND THE fresh produce is down the street with Walmart 6 miles from you on your way to Walmart you bypass a huge water park. Stayed one night in the dry camping area. Easy place to get to. Wonderful sounds of owls hooting and coyotes howling through the night. Bring about 3-4 inch of leveling blocks since the ground is has a slope to it. Ground is more level towards the street but gets steeper as you get closer to the trees.

This was perfect. You can walk to the water and fish, the portapotty is close to all the camp sites and she gets them cleaned weekly. We drove our truck to the site and the person next to us had an SUV and we had zero trouble getting to site. Banks end looked like the best site since it has the whole end to itself and closest to the water. Sites are well separated and a good space for group camping!
Lots of add ons offered by the host from eggs to fishing bait and she delivers your firewood.
Close to Cumberland falls and was just an hour and a half drive from Knoxville for a weekend get away!

I spent a week on Amber's beautiful land. It is a very peaceful location and Amber was a wonderful host.
The river itself is beautiful to look at but shallow and very silty so not great for kids wanting to swim or play in the water.

Loved staying here with my kids. Location was super easy to get to. The layout was great, you feel mostly secluded even though there are other sites in the area. The site itself was nicely shaded so it didn’t get too hot. They have a super cute farm-stand with perfectly precut wood. The hike down to the creek was kinda slippery with fallen leaves but it was still nice and the kids loved checking it out. Christine was a super hero host when someone decided to leave a light on in our car and drained our battery. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Misty Bottoms is hands down one of the best campsites where we’ve ever stayed The site is incredibly well-maintained and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable, relaxing stay.
The grassy area was perfect for our tent (and great for RVs too), and we really appreciated the electric hookup and potable water access. The bathroom was impressively clean, with a hot shower and even toiletries provided — a rare find at most campsites!
We loved gathering around the fire pit in the evenings (firewood included!) and spending time in the shelter, which had everything from hammocks, tables, and even a refrigerator. It was a great spot to hang out, rain or shine.
The views of the sky were stunning — clear and wide open, perfect for stargazing, and the sunrise and sunset over the Green River were absolutely magical. The whole environment was peaceful and quiet — ideal for a relaxing getaway.
Hosts Travis and Tena were incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating. They clearly care about making this a special place for visitors, and it shows.
We will definitely be returning. We highly recommend Misty Bottoms to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-equipped nature retreat!
