My grandparents, Donald Clayton Russell & Jewel Geneva (Davis) Russell, purchased this little piece of heaven to get away from the hustle and bustle of Cincinnati life. Judy was born in a little cabin just down the road. Judy & Don along with many family members have made cherished memories here over the years. We want to share its beauty with you and your family. Please consider, Clayton Geneva is a primitive campground, gravel drives and left as natural as possible. This is not a sculpted campsite or a concrete campground. The primitive area is as such, gravel, grass, sand terrain accessible by a one lane gravel drive that leads over the hill and around the cliff to the riverbank. This drive is absolutely passable however is left bumpy to keep traffic at a safe speed as pedestrians also walk the drive. It is passable by any vehicle as long as the vehicle is not overloaded beyond its ability and/or has an extremely low profile. Any area that is not an actual campsite is left to nature, not manicured, trimmed or sculpted. As you’ll find all the sites are clear please don’t expect micromanaging of wild growth of our native plants in areas around the sites as we reserve those areas for the wildlife to enjoy. Please consider all the above mentioned details, primitive campsites are not for everyone and that’s ok.

The Property: Located north of Cookeville in the rolling hills and farmland, our property is on Spring Creek, a state scenic river. Situated between two waterfalls and featuring over half a mile of river frontage to explore. Float, fish and relax listening to the cascading water. Perfect for bird watchers- blue and green herons, ospreys, hawks, bald eagles and more. You may spot the creek critters- minks, beavers, and otters. Various types of bass, craw dad's and minnows are in the creek. We operate similar to a state park. We are open to the public from 10am-7pm, peak season. We have other listings that are spaced so each of our guests has privacy. Please see aerial photo for an overview. We sometimes have small events (birthday parties, ect) at the pavilion. Please feel free to message us first, if you would like to see if there are any events during your stay. There are 2 restrooms centrally located at the pavilion. One bathroom has a shower with hot water, soap, shampoo/conditioner included. The restrooms are shared with our other listings. There are USB and regular outlets in the pavilion and WiFi. During warm season the outdoor kitchen is available as well. We also rent out a Suite which is located above the pavilion. Quiet hours are 10pm-8am. Pets are welcome as long as they are leashed and picked up after. Please note there is a gun range 2 hollers away and depending on the season, it can be heard from our property. Tent in the Trees Listing: Your tent site is built above the trail and overlooking the creek. The tent is equipped with a queen bed, linens, extra blankets & essential cooking gear. There is a fire pit with grill and griddles for cooking over wood or charcoal. Really, all you need is clothes, food and drink! Primitive Camp Site: The rustic camp site is DIY. It is 300' from pavilion, and 600' from Tent in the Trees. We provide a picnic table and fire pit You bring all the rest of your gear. Typically, you may park next to your campsite. No RV's, converted vans are permitted. If you have a very small camper, please message us to see if we can accommodate. There are no hookups, and no loud generators allowed. Bundles of wood available $10. Escape in nature and sleep soundly to the sounds of the creek!

The space Creekdance is located on 20 acres of prime Kentucky vegetation in the hills of Kentucky. Dry Fork Creek runs adjacent to the entire property. While it is not deep enough to kayak, it is certainly fun to dip your toes in and walk through the ever-flowing water. Several walking paths and bird boxes can be found throughout the property. It is a great place to write, paint, read, do yoga or just rejuvenate and "get right" with nature. Get the best sleep of your life on a Nectar mattress with the sounds of the creek drifting through the window. NEW this year - 125-yard golf driving range available. Golf balls provided. Bring your clubs! Guest access Guests have a private cabin all to themselves. They may feel free to wander around the property, venture onto the walking paths, walk in the creek, etc. The only space that is off limits is my cabin down the creek. Of course, if there is some kind of emergency, feel free to come find me. Other things to note While pets are allowed, there will be a $25 charge per day/per pet, paid to hosts upon arrival. I have a very friendly dog of my own on the property who free-roams. Also, if guests leave their pets in the cabin while they are gone, the pets must be crated. Inside the cabin, the bathroom is equipped with an Incinolet toilet. I find that it is quite efficient if used properly. This drive is absolutely passable however is left bumpy to keep traffic at a safe speed as pedestrians also walk the drive. It is passable by any vehicle as long as the vehicle is not overloaded beyond its ability and/or has an extremely low profile. Any area that is not an actual campsite is left to nature, not manicured, trimmed or sculpted. As you’ll find all the sites are clear please don’t expect micromanaging of wild growth of our native plants in areas around the sites as we reserve those areas for the wildlife to enjoy. The Property: Located north of Cookeville in the rolling hills and farmland, our property is on Spring Creek, a state scenic river. Tent in the Trees Listing: Your tent site is built above the trail and overlooking the creek. The tent is equipped with a queen bed, linens, extra blankets & essential cooking gear. There is a fire pit with grill and griddles for cooking over wood or charcoal. Really, all you need is clothes, food and drink! Primitive Camp Site: The rustic camp site is DIY. The space Creekdance is located on 20 acres of prime Kentucky vegetation in the hills of Kentucky. Dry Fork Creek runs adjacent to the entire property. While it is not deep enough to kayak, it is certainly fun to dip your toes in and walk through the ever-flowing water. Several walking paths and bird boxes can be found throughout the property. It is a great place to write, paint, read, do yoga or just rejuvenate and "get right" with nature. Get the best sleep of your life on a Nectar mattress with the sounds of the creek drifting through the window. NEW this year - 125-yard golf driving range available. Golf balls provided. Bring your clubs! Guest access Guests have a private cabin all to themselves. They may feel free to wander around the property, venture onto the walking paths, walk in the creek, etc. The only space that is off limits is my cabin down the creek. Of course, if there is some kind of emergency, feel free to come find me. Other things to note While pets are allowed, there will be a $25 charge per day/per pet, paid to hosts upon arrival. I have a very friendly dog of my own on the property who free-roams. Also, if guests leave their pets in the cabin while they are gone, the pets must be crated. Inside the cabin, the bathroom is equipped with an Incinolet toilet. I find that it is quite efficient if used properly. Instructions will be given upon arrival and are included on the wall in the bathroom. We can only accommodate TWO guests at a time in the cabin due to the Incinolet's capability.

Patrick's Point is absolutely incredible. If you're visiting Cumberland Falls, this is the spot. Patrick and Angelica are such wonderful hosts. We felt like family, and I look forward to bringing my kids back to explore some more! Things of note: no major bug issues in the shack. We didn't need mosquito nets. Bathrooms are clean and plentiful. Showers are hot. The chickens are amazing...as are their eggs. Lots of on site activities and the most wonderful hosts. Book it!

An absolutely gorgeous spot. I love nature but my husband is a bit of a diva. This was an excellent compromise. You can charge batteries and access WiFi at the nearby pavillion. The tent is stocked with most conveniences you’d have at home. I was impressed with the mini kitchen and benches + folding tables you can use to eat inside in case of bad weather. And it’s steps away from a great swimming area + waterfall where you can float. Overall 10/10 experience, I would absolutely recommend and I’d love to come back some day and check out some other waterfalls in the area!

My husband and I had the most amazing time this past week. From the views of the river to the views of the sky everything was perfect. We heard the owls at night which made for a great evening by the fire. We stayed in the river shack and woke up to the sight of the Cumberland river every morning. Bugs are minimal. Clean bathrooms and showers. Although I did not get a chance to use the second set of outdoor showers I did check them out and looked very inviting. We stayed for 5 days and was not looking forward to come back to civilization.

The Property: Located north of Cookeville in the rolling hills and farmland, our property is on Spring Creek, a state scenic river. Situated between two waterfalls and featuring over half a mile of river frontage to explore. Float, fish and relax listening to the cascading water. My grandparents, Donald Clayton Russell & Jewel Geneva (Davis) Russell, purchased this little piece of heaven to get away from the hustle and bustle of Cincinnati life. Judy was born in a little cabin just down the road. Judy & Don along with many family members have made cherished memories here over the years. We want to share its beauty with you and your family. Please consider, Clayton Geneva is a primitive campground, gravel drives and left as natural as possible. This is not a sculpted campsite or a concrete campground. The primitive area is as such, gravel, grass, sand terrain accessible by a one lane gravel drive that leads over the hill and around the cliff to the riverbank. This drive is absolutely passable however is left bumpy to keep traffic at a safe speed as pedestrians also walk the drive. It is passable by any vehicle as long as the vehicle is not overloaded beyond its ability and/or has an extremely low profile. Any area that is not an actual campsite is left to nature, not manicured, trimmed or sculpted. As you’ll find all the sites are clear please don’t expect micromanaging of wild growth of our native plants in areas around the sites as we reserve those areas for the wildlife to enjoy. Please consider all the above mentioned details, primitive campsites are not for everyone and that’s ok.
