Judy was born in a little cabin just down the road. Judy & Don along with many family members have made cherished memories here over the years. We want to share its beauty with you and your family. Please consider, Clayton Geneva is a primitive campground, gravel drives and left as natural as possible. This is not a sculpted campsite or a concrete campground. The primitive area is as such, gravel, grass, sand terrain accessible by a one lane gravel drive that leads over the hill and around the cliff to the riverbank. This drive is absolutely passable however is left bumpy to keep traffic at a safe speed as pedestrians also walk the drive. It is passable by any vehicle as long as the vehicle is not overloaded beyond its ability and/or has an extremely low profile. Any area that is not an actual campsite is left to nature, not manicured, trimmed or sculpted. As you’ll find all the sites are clear please don’t expect micromanaging of wild growth of our native plants in areas around the sites as we reserve those areas for the wildlife to enjoy. Please consider all the above mentioned details, primitive campsites are not for everyone and that’s ok.

Patrick's Point is absolutely incredible. If you're visiting Cumberland Falls, this is the spot. Patrick and Angelica are such wonderful hosts. We felt like family, and I look forward to bringing my kids back to explore some more! Things of note: no major bug issues in the shack. We didn't need mosquito nets. Bathrooms are clean and plentiful. Showers are hot. The chickens are amazing...as are their eggs. Lots of on site activities and the most wonderful hosts. Book it!

My husband and I had the most amazing time this past week. From the views of the river to the views of the sky everything was perfect. We heard the owls at night which made for a great evening by the fire. We stayed in the river shack and woke up to the sight of the Cumberland river every morning. Bugs are minimal. Clean bathrooms and showers. Although I did not get a chance to use the second set of outdoor showers I did check them out and looked very inviting. We stayed for 5 days and was not looking forward to come back to civilization.

They helped me to change the cabin right there paying the difference, the mattresses are surprisingly comfortable, WIFI worked perfectly fine in my cabin. I was a little worried of getting the no-door cabin because of bugs and safety, but I din't have any problem at all, I slept perfectly fine, you should use repellent though. The bathrooms are very clean and they have hot water (in case it's cold) The place is really close from Cumberland Falls, I realized late that Patrick offers Kayaking, Canoeing and other stuff, so I booked on another place beforehand and it was more expensive, I had to drive far and the Kayaking was on the same points than Patrick offer, so feel free to do it with Patrick, is cheaper, you leave your car at the campground and you save a bunch of time. I'd definitely come back to this place without thinking it again.

Weekend Trip to Patrick's Point River Camp

First time staying and cannot wait to come back. A second trip is already in the works! Beautiful and peaceful surroundings, friendly hosts, and great accommodations. If you are looking for something a little off the beaten path but homey, this is the place.
