Sunset Mountain is an exclusive reservation only 18+ clothing optional/nudist campground located on my working cattle farm. (Please do not drive up to our gate and try to get in. Please make a reservation in advance.) Although we cater to adults only we follow TNSF and AANR guidelines for social nude recreation. If you are not familiar with TNSF or AANR you can do a quick internet search and see some basic guidelines for social nude recreation. Sunset Mountain does typically operate as a blind service venue meaning we do business online and we and or our maintenance team may not be seen during your stay. Sunset Mountain is near the Elk River in Noel Missouri and close to Northwest Arkansas where there are mountain biking trails, museums and many other activities. Sunset Mountain is listed on the Monarch Butterfly Waystation registry as well. Come stay on the buff bluff!
We are located 1.2 miles away from the Noel city park that has free Elk River access, 4 miles to Mt. Shira free Elk River access near Shady Beach and 5.2 miles to the free Elk River access in Pineville, MO near Shady Beach Pineville.

For most of the 20th century the property was a small farm, grazing cattle and mowed for bailing hay. We are trying to rejuvenate the property and breathing some new life into this old plot of land.

The pasture is quite visible from Old Route 66, nearly adjoining it. Therefore people traveling “the Mother Road” find it convenient to stay with us. Grass is the best forage for horses, especially older ones, so we take care of our pastures, making for beautiful scenery for campers, too. Plus the entire back mile is bordered by old forest. And there is a swimming hole not a half mile away.
This is a quiet and private site, bordered by a neighbor's old forest on back, other neighbor's cattle pasture on side, and you're in one of the pastures used by the Horse Sanctuary. (You are camping about 1/4 mile, more or less, from our house.)
We regularly see coyote, wild turkeys, deer, fireflies, and the like.
We are just 1/2 mile off Old Route 66, therefore there are quirky little museums and great restaurants (for such a rural area!).
Plus we are only about an hour's drive from Branson. MO. which is a known tourist attraction.

At the edge of a small town in Oklahoma, plenty of space to look out over hayfields, lounge in one of our hammocks, sit around the fire, watch chickens, ducks, and geese, and maybe lend a hand to one of our varied farm projects. The town is walkable and there are plenty of our bikes you can use. The main parking area will have some lights from the neighbors and 2 lane highway, but also have private areas to set up a chair or hammock. Behind the hedgerow (to the North) there's a mowed areas for a tent. There's also a tree platform. A train runs through town about 10 x day and night about 5 blocks away. There's capacity for leaving your trash/recycling here (I have to pay for weekly pick-up but rarely is my bin full), there's also washer/dryer that can be used (within reason)

This was a GREAT place to stay! Everything was super clean, the host was super friendly and helpful when I asked for recommendations. There were two towns very close by for anything we needed and Tony was very friendly and able to accommodate a last minute added night! Also, my discount code didn’t work when I was checking in and I messaged the owners and they replied and sent me the discount immediately! I appreciate the quick responses and assistance!

It's very well laid out with 10 newly built tiny homes and many pull thru fully equipped RV spaces. The park also contains full bathrooms, laundry facilities, dog park, pickle ball court, code enabled entry gate and a disc golf course. Would highly recommend this as a place to stay especially if you like full rv hookups resort like atmosphere spotless clean amenities. The price to stay was a bargain considering all the amenities provided.

Found some trees perfect for a hammock, hiked down the rock trail, made a campfire cake, had camp coffee and enjoyed the scenery. It was my kind of party. Camper was in good shape, smelled and looked clean. Having a flushable toilet, a queen size bed to sleep in, and the option to use the stove were all very convenient (especially with a 4 year old). Great place for the price, I enjoyed the atmosphere and it was peaceful and fun. Host was responsive.

"Great" As a good view not too far from good entertainment, has an open view good, clean fresh air. Justin really gos out of his way to make sure you are pleased with your stay. It stays kept up on and maintained very nice.

When I arrived I was upgraded to a site that had a small privacy wall a couple chairs and some neatly decorated route 66 paraphernalia on the privacy wall. The RV park has full electric, water and sewer hookups on each site. There is a bathhouse that contains men's and women's bathrooms with showers and a washer dryer area for campers use. I must say the bath house was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The park itself has a New Mexico midwest vibe to it even though it's in Southwest Missouri. Would definitely go there again.

2 nights at Peoria Hills
We had a great time here. Beautiful land and cozy cabin. Very comfortable and great kitchen set up with induction stove and convection countertop oven. Everything was very clean and well stocked with everything from board games to laundry soap. The hosts John and Ginny are nice and welcoming. We will definitely come back when we can stay longer.

This is my third time camping here as a stopover on a roadtrip and I have enjoyed every stay. It is close enough to the highway to be easy to get to and off the beaten path enough to be a quiet place where you can encounter wildlife.
Kelda is welcoming and a good communicator. I also appreciate the access to drinking water and a bathroom.
I would definitely recommend Stardust.

I love car camping in the the overland area at James place. It was far enough from the main part of the campground that I felt like I had privacy when I wanted it and close enough to hike in to hang out and join some of the other guests that were there for the weekend. The sun deck was great for catching some sunshine, the main firepit was awesome for gathering around with new friends and the hot tub was perfect place to relax before hiking out to my site for the bed. I am already trying to figure out a time to get back back out there. I cannot wait to visit Sunset Mountain again.
