I am located to the West of Interstate 29 off exit 95 halfway between Omaha, Nebraska and Sioux City, Iowa. It is near where the Little Sioux River meets the Missouri River. There is river access with bank fishing and a boat ramp. The Loess Hills are nearby and the state forest. There are small lakes in the surrounding areas and Lewis and Clark parks with beautiful views.

I stayed at the Fence Post in October, after water was shut off for the winter. HOWEVER, when I made the reservation, the host was very quick to tell me this… so I was prepared! Kathy was great about giving instructions to get to the spot (make sure you don’t come in too close to the building!), and how to leave if backing up was a problem. The area behind me was very spacious so it was “easy” to back out and drive out! ( I say “easy,” because I’m new at travel trailering and backing up isn’t ever really easy for me - yet!!). I was very pleased with how level it was - from a picture I had seen, I didn’t expect that! Woo hoo! Lots of green space available to walk the dogs. This was a one-night stay - just passing through. I noted that others discussed traffic noise. It is true, it is not too far off the road BUT, I didn’t hear a thing (& I didn’t have tv or music on!!)! I am happy to recommend it to other hipcampers! Thanks Kathy… and I hope you have a great winter!

The Fence Post is conveniently located right off highway 29. It was a perfect spot to post up for the night on my journey across the US. There is a nice field right in front of the parking spot. A few reviews mention highway noise. You can hear it but it didn’t feel bothersome and with a fan on, I couldn’t hear it at all.
I would stay here again!

Quiet little spot along the highway. We did not find it loud, rather we had a very peaceful night. Kathy was responsive and let us know exactly what we needed to pull right in and settle for the evening. One of the campers came and checked on us as well. The only issue is the water is very high in iron, and even with our 3 stage filter we found it unsuitable for use. Otherwise, great spot for a layover!!

This site was exactly as described. We were traveling through and it made a great stop for the night, and we were on our way the next day. We would have loved it if the Fence Post restaurant had been open for business during our stay! Seemed like a perfect little local joint to get a burger!

We basically had the entire place to ourselves. This is an actual campground with yearly dues. We were there at the beginning of June (midwwek) and only saw 3 cars drive through. It was very convenient to the highway and Kathy was helpful and quick to reply to all my questions.

Kathy’s land provided a flat space with electricity for us in a space with limited options! The water was already turned off for the season but she let us know as soon as we booked with plenty of notice. I was confused on how to pull in and she promptly answered the phone and helped me through it! There is highway noise but we found the location extremely convenient after a long days drive.

Kathy had great and prompt communication. We were met by Oliver who was so nice and made sure I had everything I needed. The site is gravel with a big grassy area all around. No shade on the pad but trees on the grassy area. Price is great for full hookups! Kathy was so friendly and welcoming. Great place for an overnight stay!

We enjoyed our two night stay on Kathy's property. All of the hook-ups worked just fine. The place is easy to find and Kathy is super helpful. The pad is gravel and pretty level. We stayed on the property the whole time but there were a decent amount of parks around the area. The spot is located in a member only campground. It's a very nice campground and everyone here is super nice. We'd stay again if we are every passing through. Kathy and her friends even invited us over for a great dinner!

Have had a great stay for about a month at the RV site near the Fence Post. Kathy provided absolutely excellent communication. She was very responsive to requests and questions. I stayed in the fall after water had been shut off most places in the campground, but Kathy provided me with a place to get water and it all worked out. Great 50 amp electrical hookup with no problems. Awesome hiking in Loess hills that is just a few minutes away. I would definitely recommend this site.
