We are originally from Northern California. We are enjoying our expansive farm with all it's fresh air, fresh food, plants, animals, and fun events. We enjoy time relaxing in hammocks and letting the world pass us by. Bring your family out to enjoy all the farm has to offer, or take advantage of the serenity and privacy! We are open to family reunions & parties, large gatherings of friends etc! We are happy to have a group that can party and consume adult beverages without driving or worrying about making noise. Learn more about this land: Pitch your tent near the creek (site 1) in a completely private site (kids can sleep in the truck bed topper or fort if they'd like) or on the field to the side of the house (site 2) for a semi-private spot nearest to the bathroom and with a wood chip drive entrance for larger vehicles or (site 3) a semi- private spot down by the creek and the hay bales to the left of the house. (Or pick a spot of your choosing). Enjoy the farm animals, walk the property, build a fire, and enjoy the outdoors! There are more animals to pet from April through October (typically we have bunnies, chickens, sheep, cats, dogs, alpacas, miniature horses, horses, pig, goat, etc.). In the winter the horses, alpacas, chickens, dogs, cats and sometimes bunnies are available to visit. Firewood bundles available for $10 The creek at times is swimmable, other times it's walkable, and sometimes in the heat of July it's very shallow. There is a zip line, log or bridge to cross the creek. There is a state park (Ft. Daniel) less than 5 minutes away and others a bit further (Spitler or Sand Creek) Horseback riding may be available upon request - $25.00 per person or $50.00 per family. There is a large shaded playground in the front yard for the kids with a trampoline, small zip line, ninja line, slack line, silks, climbing dome, hammocks, etc. BATHROOM: If you are looking at the house from the street, the bathroom is on the right of the house, attached to the house. Museums offer great programs and the New Salem Park is a fun day trip with the kids to learn about historic living. Lincoln's sites around in several counties are great to see. You also have the opportunity to hike in some great parks and ride your bike on some outstanding central Illinois paths. 3 nights at 1912 Vintage Barn Experience

I had a lovely three night stay on Aissa and Hank’s property! When we arrived, they were there to welcome us and give us a tour and let us know about our camping options. We were the only campers staying that weekend so they were happy to let us pick our spot and got a fire pit moved for us so we could stay local to our spot for the most part. Their barn and land is gorgeous, and they were equipped with helpful items for campers far beyond what we expected when booking our stay. Aissa and Hank themselves were both very kind and welcoming and made us feel very safe and comfortable. They were around if we needed anything but did not make us feel hovered over and did not interrupt our privacy whatsoever. We had a very sweet and slow weekend, exactly what we were looking for and needed! We would definitely come back and enjoy another weekend here.

What a great place for families! We stayed at the creek-side camp and loved the privacy. It was perfect with our 5 and 7 year old as they were able to head to the playground alone with walkie talkies. For younger kids, the site closer to the playground may be a better fit. Julie was kind and helpful with every question we had! The property is also close to town, should you need anything at all - like we did!

For central Illinois this place was amazing! The site itself was unique and secluded with a cool zip line within it. All the animals on the farm were fun to check out and interact with. Most of all Julie and her family were wonderful and thoughtful people to interact with.

Literally had such a great time tent camping on Julie's Farm! From the spaced out nature of every site, the zip lines all over, and the activities for the children to do! To the responsiveness of Julie and her family 💖 We had our space but we also could nearly always find someone to ask questions or just chat 💖 The herbs and vegetables and flowers and variety of animals 💖 Julie also allowed us to have an impromptu birthday party for my daughter and she enjoyed the farm so much, she cried as we were leaving. Best private camping we've found so far! 👏👏 thanks again Julie and Serenity Farms

Camp Lakewood is a small and quiet campground. Just minutes off I-70. Our site (22) backed right up to the lake. Very friendly staff and Fatso's (on location pizza, wings, ice cream, and more) has some of the best pizza we've ever had! We will definitely visit again!

Weekend Trip to 1912 Vintage Barn Experience

Everything was perfect! Aissa and Hank are outstanding, gracious hosts. Starting with a golf cart tour of their property really helps to decide where you want to set up and ask questions. After choosing a convenient spot, both Aissa and Hank are helpful with anything you may need. Bathroom was spotless, very well taken care of property all around. I hope to return to enjoy the friendly atmosphere and peaceful natural surroundings. The barn looks like a great venue for a party or celebration, with plenty of space to park and play in the beautiful backyard. What a terrific find! Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Weekend Trip to Willenborg Woods

This place is amazing! I have zero complaints! We had everything we needed and more, all in the middle of secluded woods. We stayed in the teardrop trailer and loved the comfort of kitchen, fridge, shower, bathroom, AC, etc. the beds were comfy and so many included supplies. Farm fresh eggs, bread, and coffee were delivered each morning. The hosts Becca and Craig are incredible people who really care about you and your experience. They were so responsive, kind and helpful. They delivered xtra firewood and even gave us a ride down to the river and to see the riverfront A frame rental, which I definitely want to rent next time. The grounds were well kept, with bathrooms available and an outdoor shower for those not staying in the teardrop trailer to still have a bathroom and shower. Subtle touches like flowers planted, picnic tables, stacked rocks, tiki torches, and more made it feel xtra special and inviting. We loved the chickens roaming the property and coming to visit. Becca the host is a rockstar! Such an amazing person with so much life experience, humble, minimalist, accepting and full of positive energy. I can’t wait to come back!

Weekend Trip to Willenborg Woods

Becca and Craig were the most amazing hosts. When we were dropped off at our site, it felt like making new friends. We had such a wonderful stay at the A-Frame! The setting was peaceful and private, with beautiful river access just steps away. Our hosts were incredibly gracious and thoughtful, even arranging a kayak ride on the river that became a highlight (despite low water levels) of our trip. Breakfast each morning was a perfect touch and made us feel so welcomed. At night, we fell asleep to the calming sounds of nature all around us—a truly relaxing experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the outdoors with the comfort of warm hospitality. When we left on Sunday, it was like visiting old friends. This site has everything you can want. Additionally, in our excitement to continue chatting with Becca as we were leaving, we left quite a few things behind! She was SO generous enough to mail it (washed and folded) back to us. We will definitely be visiting again soon.

The site was very private and on the night we stayed the clear skies allowed for amazing stargazing! Sounds of wildlife like frogs and insects were very relaxing. Restroom wasn't too far either and was well kept. Overall a great place to set up the tent for the evening.

Julie and her family were very welcoming! Our family, including our 8 year old son, loved our stay at the farm. From a zip line at our site, to kittens to play with and even a horse ride, we had a great day and night. Highly recommended!

We had the best time camping at this hidden little gem! My sons are bmx riders who have taken up mountain biking. The location had tons of trails for us to explore. The host was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The camper was the perfect size for us and included everything we needed like linens, dishes, fridge, gas stove, sink, toilet, AC, two beds, television. Would definitely book it again in the future. Thank you Rebecca for the great weekend!

Weekend Trip to Camp with Alpacas at Aris Farm

We LOVE Aris Farm. What a unique camping experience surrounded by awesome animals! We can’t pick a favorite when it comes to the fur babies but Banjo definitely stole our hearts (and we almost stole him). Tracy was great the entire time and very hospitable. We had the pleasure of meeting 10 yr old Mia (sp) who shared a ton of knowledge about the farm and the alpacas. We loved that she took the time to talk with us and taught us a lot of really cool, interesting things about the alpacas. We definitely would love to return when we can stay longer.

This was an A+ experience. Tracy‘s farm is very unique and wonderful and she herself is a very welcoming, accommodating host. Even though this was my first time solo camping EVER, I felt very safe and comfortable and enjoyed every minute of it. I was on a road trip on the last leg home so didn’t spend much time at her farm, but plan on returning there just to enjoy the space and land and I will be recommending Tracy‘s farm to all people I personally know who enjoy camping near and far.
